Specifically, today. Five star service today. I went in to pick up a vacuum. Nothing ridiculous, as I only have one room that is officially carpeted (other than area rugs). Found what I was looking for, but the item would require a ladder to get to it. Three ladies came to help (maybe I smelled good today? lol). The model I was looking at was not in stock and would no longer be stocked, so they offered the floor model at 20% off. I know, "but Robot, they e-mail you 20% off coupons every other month don't they?" Pretty much, but I forgot to print it off this time around. Well, as it turned out, the thing was broken anyway (determined while trying to remove it from the display). I opted for the model up from it. Up one of them went, and fetched it (yes, they're supposed to, but three of them made it seem like I was not leaving the store disappointed). Anyway, I get to the checkout and go to pay for it. I ended up STILL getting the 20% off, which pretty closely matched the price of the one I was looking at anyway! I go there for my towels, wine glasses, pillows (and other bedding), and random kitchen items. You probably won't find a better wine glass collection in town, that I know of - hey, prove me wrong. :P

After printing off the registry for me she went online to show me some of my options that were within my spending limit. Costco has taken over as the pit stop for me when on a long road trip. This one is located between…read moreCalgary and Edmonton in Red Deer. This Costco has it all. They have a gas station for you to fuel up. The warehouse itself is a typical Costco warehouse setup. They have enough interesting stuff to keep me entertained for a few minutes. Their clothing selection is different from my normal Southern California selection. They had hoodies for both the Edmonton Elks, Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL football teams). The hoodies were reasonably priced compared to NFL hoodies, I ended up with one after discussing it with some of the locals. I didn't look at any more of their merchandise. The men's restroom was clean. My wife did not complain about the women's restroom. The food court had the usual hotdog, but, also had a the Canadian Costco specials of smoked meat sandwich and poutine. This Costco is a great place to stop at when on a long road trip. They have everything needed for a pit stop.

I didn't know where to start (having never tried on a gown in my life), and luckily Lori was very helpful but not overbearing. She asked about my budget and style and showed me where to look - assigned me a hanger to hang the dresses I'd like to try on, and stayed fairly local in case I had any questions. The third dress I tried on was THE dress, but she wasn't pushy about the process, just kept asking what I thought, how I felt. We went to another store to try on more, just to be sure, and ended up returning and ordering that third dress. Would highly recommend based on my experience!
