I used to love coming here even tho the reception can be rude even tho my nail tech was rough and rude . They do good nails here but have horrible attitudes. I booked an appointment last week at 12:45 I arrived on time and waited over 17 min and she kept saying almost done . I was limited on time so I kindly reschedule for today . My appointment was at 11:30 and I was 10 mim late , the nerve of the receptionist to say "your late we have to reschedule you " I'm like well any one else is fine too I'll wait and she says they are all busy with an attitude. They are shitty people here good but work shitty people . They were too busy to see my last week when I had an appointment & now that I was 10 mim late they can't see me . This was my go to spot, until my last visit here. This is the second time the pedicure ladies skip on the doing the massage for the amount of time I pay for. & I don't want to be THAT lady but I'm eight months pregnant and if there is something i look forward to in a pedicure its those 5-10 mins of massage time. So it's disappointing to have this happen to me twice. Besides that I asked for french tip and I thought my line was too thin when I saw her doing it but I said to myself 'maybe this won't even be an issue when it's all done' Well turns out it bugs me so bad because it makes my pedicure look dumb :( That day i also got a full set where they were suppose to do a natural square shape and that was not what i got. Nail tech also left gel under my nails. Not coming back or recommending any of my friends and family to come back as I have in the past. Since that same day I told my mom and sister in law to come in & clearly told the manager they were coming. She said it was fine (even tho they were getting busy) next thing you know, they come in and she tells them it was an hour wait. Of course my family left because we were told 15-20 mins. Then I mentioned it to her and she lies saying she didn't know who they were or that they were here. Even though I told her they were here and my mom mentioned my name to her. I've frequented Luxe a few times and continue to go back. It's location is ideal but the owner is always friendly and courteous. I've had a few situations where I've had to come back for a repaint and the owner Lynn is always happy to accommodate. I have been wanting to try this salon for a while now, but it was a bit more expensive than my usual spot. After another poor experience with my go to spot, I decided to try out Luxe. My go to is gel-x because it tends to last longer for me. I was seated with Kimberly and I explained to her that my nails are extremely thin and sensitive, as she proceeded to remove my nails. She did not soak them in acetone but used a brush on method that helped to lift the previous nails. She said it was better for my cuticle and sensitivity. She was very gentle and took her time. I didn't feel like she rushed. I explained to her that my nails tend to grow upwards and I want to make sure the nails applied have enough curve so they don't flip up, as I then tend to bang them and hurt myself. She cut my nails short and said she knew how to put them on so they don't do that. I was doubtful as most nail technicians that I've had don't really listen and seem to not understand what I want/need. When it came time to color my nails, I said I'd do a plain color since you can't do ombré or special colors with gel-x. She laughed and said we can do whatever you like! Clearly my other technicians just didn't know how or didn't want to bother. I showed her a picture of a pretty pink and lavender ombré and she nailed it! I had such a wonderful experience, at Luxe with Kimberly! I was also able to take advantage of a 15% coupon. $59, including 15% off, was a bit steep for me, but well worth it for the experience! Be aware that they up charge 3% if you don't pay cash, but they will let you pay zelle without that fee. Now to see if they actually stay on. I've had some trouble with lasting adhesion with some technicians. I will revisit and apply a fifth star if the nails don't pop off too soon. I'm accustomed to gel-x lasting three weeks. This is the late update... The nails looked great, but they started popping off within three days! I called to make an appointment to fix the popped nails. The girl that did them originally had been let go, so I had to have someone else fix them. Two days later, more were popping off. When I called in, they had me come in for a full re-do. When I got there, she said I had to pay 50%! If they let the girl go for poor work, they should have covered the full cost of the poor job. I couldn't go without nails, so I paid the 50% knowing g I'd never come back again. By the way, the re-do was just as bad. The product used was different and the girl rushed doing them, after me having to wait over an hour to be seen. They started popping off in four days! I ended up finding a new salon, and it's taken me this long to update my review. My new salon is great and the nails actually last the 3-4 weeks intended. Been going there for 5 months now. I am extremely disappointed to say the least. I am a LICENSED PROFESSIONAL IN THIS INDUSTRY with over 20 years experience. If I could give the salon zero stars I would. My first two experiences were great, today's experience left me NEVER coming back. My first problem with the salon experience today was that they told me that my daughter's nails could not be filled. They were brand new set done at luxe, three weeks prior. Why couldn't they be filled? They argued with me about filling them, and became rude when I questioned it. After agreeing to just fill them and "do their best" My daughter's fill cost more than her first full set. Her first set was white French with a beautiful design and acrylic flowers and crystals. Today, she just got French tip with a plastic bow gem glued on 2 fingers. Wow, That's insane. Half the time and less work yet same price.. My daughter got cut twice and had two nails bleeding on her cuticles. And to top it off they were extremely rude -the manager wasn't much help and could care less how the nail tech was. My daughter said she was awful to her the entire time she had her nails done. Terrible customer service All because we didn't want a full set and just a fill. Sad read more

Luxe nails in Buena Park is a hidden gem. they give great service, and this is my first fill since I got a new set of acrylic nails on July 10. my nails stayed looking good, and I just needed a fill the other day. (almost 2 months). the girl that did my fill, Tammy did a wonderful job, and took care not to twist my arthritic fingers of my left hand. I have been coming to this nail shop for over a year and I have always had a good experience. I liked that most the stylist are good at their job and the price is normally the same. Today I got a dip french manicure and I was told the just for the dip powder it was $51 dollars, they charged me $5 to remove my cuticles and another $15 just for French tip. Total for a manicure I was charged $71 dollars. When I told the lady I have never paid $51 for dip powder and on the website the dip manicure states it's $41 she tells me the website is outdated. I always thought cuticle removal was a part of getting a manicure. She also started trying to add things stating it's extra to take off the gel I already had before. I feel like all these nail shops are becoming the same. They make up prices and take advantage of customers that show up regularly to support their business. Recently relocated to SoCal from DC area and I've been trying so many salons but couldn't quite find the experience I was used to. Okay so the wait could have knocked 2 stars off however the posh decor, the friendliness and especially the cleanliness are definitely worth TEN stars my stilettos nails with chrome finish ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.
