Tandem mani/pedis. ;) SO MANY COLORS to choose from! Gel $15 extra, I think. $57 for one mani/pedi. (Basic Ped $37 & basic nails $20. He cut my nails FLAT... didn't ask how I wanted them. I had to ask him to round them... he did. Rough edges (i don't get nail polish, so it really shows when they're not smooth. :( THEN, when they were dry, you could see through the color on one foot... all nails. They redid them. Someone else did it. And he made my finger bleed where he clipped cuticle... clipped too close. This place is just DIRTY!! The stations are nasty floors are dirty. The bathroom trash can why is it so rusted the blower is filthy, also no hand soap. my daughter had her first set of acrylic nails put on almost 6 weeks ago. she had them filled 3 weeks ago and now they are popping off like press ons. we stopped by and I explained the situation to the lady at the desk. she told me 6 weeks was long and she needs a new set. I used to go here & use romeo for my acrylic nails never had any issues. about a week ago I lost a nail, & i find green underneath my natural nail. being that i've had many many sets of nails and never had that happen EVER. so called today, definitely not rude on the phone on my end but like wtf pretty much. I've been to Luxe several times in the past 2 years. I've always thought that they have done a decent job until two weeks ago. My appointment was later in the evening and by the time my dip had soaked off and the women assigned to my nails was done with her other appointment, it was almost closing time. I asked the lady if I could have almond shaped nails. She began filing them but after taking a couple chunks off the side of my nail, she told me they were too short for that shape. I asked her to just round them off. They looked bad but what could I do? While she was trying to reshape them, everyone was running around, trying to pick up their stations, everyone was excited to go home. I get it, it was Friday, but it felt very unprofessional. She finally finished and assigned another guy to paint my nails (gel). He put two coats on them in a hurry, barely gave me a hand massage, I paid and left. My nails have never been more flimsy, they're breaking off, and it just really makes me angry that they couldn't take the time to do a good job. If they want to leave when it's closing time, don't schedule the appointment so late. Needless to say, I won't be going back. It makes me sad because I really did like going there. read more

I spent $77 for subpar service!! I paid $57 for the Destress pedi, which includes "an extended hot stone and massage to relieve sore muscles." When you pay that much money and you don't get what you pay for, it is wrong!! My technician's name was Ann. She basically ignored me the entire time I was there. The only time she spoke to me was when she verified the services I wanted and to move over to her mani station when she finished my pedi. I NEVER received any kind of massage on my feet and legs. The stones were lukewarm. One stone was kind of hot. I have neuropathy in my feet. I get the upgraded pedi because of the massage. The heat from the stones is so soothing on my feet. It's so beneficial for my feet and helps relieve some of the pain I live with on a daily basis. If I pay for a service, I expect the service! I also do not expect to be treated like I don't exist. A hello, how are you, at the minimum is expected and appreciated! Ann must have thought a little kindness wasn't necessary! When Ann finished putting polish on my toenails, she did not give my nails even 30 seconds to dry. She IMMEDIATELY put my flip flops on my feet. No tech has EVER put my flip flops on my feet so soon after putting the polish on. She sent me over to her mani station, where I immediately noticed the towel that was set in from of me was previously used. The area was not clean. Trust me, I noticed! She was pretty forceful as she pushed my cuticles down. She wasn't drawing blood, so I chose to not say anything. I really think if she had been personable, I would have felt comfortable saying something, but by this time I was feeling almost sad. Having a mani/pedi is a time to relax and enjoy the pampering, but unfortunately, Ann made me feel like I was a nuisance. I decided to say something to the receptionist about the service, or should I say, the lack of service I received from Ann. As I was speaking to the receptionist, Ann decided to join in on the conversation, which she had no business doing. This conversation was between me and the receptionist. Ann said she performed every service I was supposed to get. THAT WAS A DOWNRIGHT LIE! If I had received the services I paid for, I would have no reason to complain. I told Ann to leave. She had no business being a part of this conversation. If she wanted to defend her position, she needed to talk to her boss. I would like to say something about the receptionist, Katie. She is the sweetest, friendliest, most helpful, hardworking girl! I observed her both times I've been to Luxe Nails. I felt comfortable relaying to her my experience with Ann. Katie listened and was apologetic for my experience. I requested the owner call me. About two hours after I left, I called to see if the owner of the salon had received the message to call me. Katie said she had called him and he told her he would call me right away. It's 24 hours later and that has not happened. I guess the owner doesn't care about his clients experience. When I got home, I looked at my toenails and noticed the polish had been smudged! Well, of course it did! My nails were wet when she put my sandals on! If I had noticed at the salon, I would have had her fix it! This should not have happened! It happened sometime between leaving the pedi chair and getting my mani at the mani station. I'm sure the polish was dry when I left. And my mani was a joke!! I don't do polish on my nails. My mani is really just cleaning up the cuticles and massaging some lotion in my hands and lower arms. Simple stuff, right? This is something any tech does for a basic mani. I knew as soon as she put a dab of lotion on the back of my hands, there would be no lotion past my hands. I've been getting manicures for decades. This is a basic service for a mani! Is this Luxe Nails policy or Ann's policy? Like I said at the beginning of this review, I spent $77 for a mani/pedi. It was money not well spent!! If the owner had called me and taken care of this situation, I would not be writing this review. If he had contacted me and taken care of this situation, I would return, at least to get my mani/pedi fixed! I will not give Luxe Nails my business ever again. You cannot disregard your client's negative experience. Your technicians need to be properly trained, and they definitely need to treat their clients with a minimal amount of respect and kindness. Ann certainly failed in her responsibilities, and so did the owner. read more

I love this salon!! The technicians are kind ,professional and skilled. I keep coming back because in the end I want my nails to look pretty with a good pampered experience in the salon. I really cannot say enough about how great these men and women are with all the services I've had. Fantastic! The only issue I have had for months is with the reception staff. The owner really needs to consider properly training the reception staff or hiring more competent staff. The current problems are that the usual girl there doesn't even look up from her phone to greet us, she's often disinterested in welcoming customers, she seems lazy in her duties, has scheduled me at the wrong time and for the wrong services, etc. This may be harsh but she behaves like an annoyed teenager upon first contact. I feel if the front desk reception staff were friendly and welcoming as well as competent it would make the experience here five gold stars!!! read more

Just got into town to visit family and needed a pedicure and fill, decided to try a new place, so glad I did! Definitely found my new favorite place, called at 10am and booked an appointment for 12pm for a pedicure and fill. I arrived for my appointment and picked my color and sat down to start my nails, after showing the nail tech what I wanted to do with my nails he informed me that it wasn't going to be a fill, I need a new set and it was going to be dip powder ombré and gave me a price quote! My nails came out exactly how I wanted them! Throughout my nail and pedicure service I was constantly asked if I liked it or if they were hurting me or if the water was too hot! They could've perhaps explained WHY I wasn't placed with her since they were able to see I made an appointment online at all. Do NOT go here if you have young children. I took my daughter who is 5 and my niece who is 14 there to get our nails done for a girls day. My niece rarely gets her nails done and wasn't sure of a color... so the older lady that done her nails rushed her to sit down even though she hadn't decided on a color. My daughter got her nails painted and then came and sat beside of me while I was getting mine done. There was 2 younger workers that kept coming up behind her chair and watching her phone with her. Several times they would do this. Then one time he brushed my daughters hair back off her shoulders. He asked her age and if she had a boyfriend!!! She is 5!!! He also tried to pick her up a couple of times by her legs. Once while I was washing my hands. And again right before we left. My niece also kept looking at me getting weird vibes from them by the way they were treating my daughter. He also told her she was very beautiful. By the time we left I was so on edge thinking they had came up with a plan (in their language) to steal her or something. I was beyond ready to leave. We will NOT be back. read more

This was my third visit to Luxe Nails I thought I had found a new place to get my nails done, what a mistake the last visit was my final one. I did not make a appointment this time when I went in they was not busy I checked in told the receptionist I wanted a simple manicure and my dipped polish taken off. The gentleman did not tell me his name, put my nails in to soak. Went over to a lady that just walked in and was complaining about here nails she had done a few days ago was chipping off. So he just sat down at a nothing station and started working on her. 30 minutes later there I sat still soaking he come over an said he would be right back he had to fix one nail for her, I said that I was there first he said " I BE BACK" some other young guy came over and started working on my nail. The worse manicure ever. Nails was not filled just cut with clippers polish on my skin around nail. Well be going back to my old place I Halls I never should have tried the new place. read more

If I could rate "Zero", I would. I scheduled an appointment online to be seen by OJ. When I arrived today, the receptionist was less than welcoming. She was more concerned about her phone, than answering my questions as a first-time customer. In fact, she seemed rather put out by my questions. As the front line/first impression for this salon, she truly needs some customer service training. This was my first (and last) visit to this salon. After waiting 30 minutes, I was led to a seat and told "they will get you soaking soon". The area was filthy and clearly had not been sanitized in weeks. The receptionist pointed to a gentleman and said he will be with you soon. I told her I scheduled with OJ (after reading her wonderful reviews) and she said, hmmm, OJ is busy...that online site is not the best. I sat there for about 5 more minutes before I walked out. I highly recommend you visit another salon in the Knoxville area. There are far too many to choose from to subject yourself to this substandard/unclean nail salon. read more
