We called them and asked for someone to come over, check it out, and let us know what work needed to be done. The technician contacted me without a previous notification that he would be arriving at my house within 10 minutes. This was during the work day. It happened that I had a family member at home that day. I informed him that she could let him in to have access to the system. I asked if he could call me to let me know what he determined to be the problem. I received a call back some time later informing me that he had replaced the motherboard, the main opener switch, and the sensors. The work was completed without any advanced notification regarding the scope of the work and the associated costs. This is unprofessional behavior. The idea that a business gives a 10 minute window prior to coming to one's house and then proceeds to complete the work without authorization from the homeowner is unethical and poor business practices. This business removed our choice as to whether or not to do business with them and entrapped us into paying their fees. If at all possible, we will choose not to do business with them again.
