They were an hour late i missed my appointment and the driver was very very disrespectful

Do not ever ride or work for Lyft. This company in the beginning was fresh, new, exhilarating and cared for its drivers. Since 2020 it's nowhere close. Drivers can make more working at McDonald's full-time or part-time. Lyft exploits their drivers and pays them little to nothing while taking 60-70% of the fare for themselves. The new CEO is a capitalistic hack and doesn't care about the people that make the company actually work. read more

I had the worst experience with Lyft yesterday and want to warn people not to use Lyft . I had pre-booked my trip only to be cancelled my ride by Lyft with no explanation. I was stranded 2.5 hours away. There is no customer service number except regarding guide dogs, so no one could help me. Each time they cancelled my ride the next ride I tried to book was $20 more. Not only was this scary experience, but a costly one too.Never again will I use Lyft!!! read more

I drove for LYFT. Suddenly and without warning or explanation they deactivated me as a driver. I have talked to other LYFT drivers and this seems to happen often. I still have not been informed as to why LYFT has shut my business down but it's OK! They are a crummy company and I will never drive for them again and if you support working drivers, you should not support LYFT! read more

I reserved a time more than an hour in advance and yet my ride was going to be a half hour late, making me late for an appointment, which I had to cancel. Lesson learned: don't use Lyft if you have to be on time. read more

If you want to wait for a ride that never comes and then be charged for not showing up, call Lyft. If want to check your app and have it tell you a driver will be there at a specific time and, when you recheck later, find there is no driver coming, call Lyft. If you want to wait forever while searching for a driver and finally find there is none available, call Lyft. If you want a ride that comes on time and gets you to your destination on time, call Uber. read more

Lyft is terrible, takes a century just to even find a driver for you and even when it does it they'll cancel on you about 3 or 4 times before you actually get a driver to even be on his way. Do not recommend this service at all I'd recommend using Uber if anything over this app. read more

Do yourself a favor and if you ever get Iesha as your driver cancel right away! Not only did she try to get physical and Call me a bitch she made my 7 year old Cry because of the confrontation. She is sorry to say very ghetto and illiterate not to mention rude . I have always had great experiences with lyft but this illiterate low class lady almost ruined this brand for me not to mention she held my water bottle hostage caused a scene that even the security guards were shocked . I needed to get to Lodi this afternoon to pick up my car from the mechanic. The arrangements I had for a ride fell through. I was almost in the midst of panic. Then it hit me...a rideshare service, of course. Being new to this I figured I would check out both Uber and Lyft. Lyft was cheaper so that's what I picked. I was charged $12 from far n/e Stockton to the center of Lodi. I thought that was fair. I gave my driver, Vinnie, five stars. He was a good driver with a clean car and ice cold air conditioning! We chatted it up all the way. The app said my driver will be there in 15 minutes and he was. He was based in Lodi so he drove from Lodi to pick me up and then back to Lodi. The app is kind of cool. On the map you can see his little car making progress on the freeway! I liked using Lyft also because they are kind of the underdog to Uber. Also, the Uber app tracks you even when you're not using their service. That is verboten. I will not put up with that. I have no reservations using Lyft again when I'm in a pinch. The amount I was charged was probably less than I would've paid my pre-arranged ride for gas! read more

I had a flat tire so I scheduled a ride (which Uber didn't give an option to) between 7:15am and 7:30am. I continue getting ready for work when I see a notification that my ride was outside. It was 6:40AM and it also said he'd wait until 7:20am. Well...not even two minutes later I get another text that he cancelled and he drove away. If Lyft gives an option to schedule a ride, then show up when scheduled, don't pull that 45 minutes early crap and have a hissy fit and leave! Uber saved the day...guess that's where I'll continue getting my rides from. read more

I called for a Lyft and they didn't show up at the correct address. I called for a second Lyft and the same thing happened. I went to the closest cross street and called for a Lyft to come to that new address and no one came. After 3 hours, I called a friend to come get me. I will delete the Lyft app from my phone. read more

I ordered a ride to the courthouse for jury duty a couple of minutes after 7. We waited 15 minutes and the driver cancelled a half a block from the pick up location. I was rerouted to another car 33 minutes away. Horrible service. Called the driver and I couldn't communicate with him as English was a second language to him. HORRIBLE SERVICE. I want to delete my Lyft profile but that's nearly impossible. read more

Every time I schedule a ride it gets cancelled LAST MINUTE! Lyft shouldn't let SCHEDULED rides be cancelled because it takes another while for a regular Lyft ride to come. Scheduled rides have a reason for that of IMPORTANT PERSONAL events and such are to be taken in place. Which is why people like me, SCHEDULE rides. But they always get CANCELED last minute. Sometimes twice in a row. read more

My car is overheating, so I decided to try lyft out, I was actually looking for uber but the lyft app popped up, every driver has been very nice, they arrived under 10 mins, the cars have been kept up very nice, Aziz is the best! My car was stolen last month and I had to resort to renting a car under my insurance, but that was exhausted. Thank god, Lyft is here in Stockton, CA. Raised & working in San Francisco bay area, am familiar with Lyft and Uber. Lyft has definitely launched on a positive note because they're really a good group of people. Thank you to all my drivers: Marcus, Jason, Gilberto, Stassa, Danny & Sammy! YOU ARE THE BEST! If evernu newd a spokesperson on Lyft's behalf, I'm here to contribute and tell all of thw Central Valley how Lyft has helped me cope with the day-to-day errands I have to do. Lester was VERY rude, as he took us to a destination that differed from where we wanted to go, and when confronted with the problem he kicked us out and left with my friends phone in his car. Phone was eventually returned. Called an uber instead. read more

Ok I used lyft to get to and from work today. This service is totally awesome. The first driver did get a little lost trying to find my place but so does everyone else lol. His car was immaculate and he was really friendly. On the way back I wasn't planning to use lyft but it was dark out I was tired and not feeling like walking. So I got out the trusty app and as luck would have it no one was available. I then turned to Yellow Cab and just talking to their dispatcher was a nasty experience. I tried the app one more time just for the heck of it and voila a lyft driver was 9 min away from me. I pressed the button and he was on his way. Yet another awesome driver with an immaculate car. He found me with no problem and got me home in no time. I am sold on lyft. 7.50 each way for a 3 mile ride although I did throw in a 2 dollar tip each way. read more

My son totaled my car last Friday on 580:( He used Lyft over the weekend to get around in the extreme Stockton heat. I used it today to get the rental car. I love it. So much better than a taxi service with easy access. You just order a Lyft through the phone app.....they are quick and then pay with the app. I recommend this service to everyone. I have taken cabs many times in the past.Sometimes you luck out and get a really skilled pro in the cab sometimes not.Lyft is not a cab.....it is a personal vehicle contracted by Lyft. The drivers are real people with very nice skill sets.I LOVE the convinience.Our guy *Tom* was here in a few minutes.Young man and very nice.Just remember to tip them because they make your life a whole lot earier to navigate when you have zero transportaion:) read more

I needed a ride to pick up my car at the shop today, so I researched and read reviews and decided to download the app and give Lyft a try...I'm so glad I did, my phone brought up a picture of the car and driver so I knew who to look for and he was here in 5 minutes. Sohrab was very nice and friendly, his car was clean and he answered all my questions about Lyft. I will definitely use this service again, it is so easy and convenient. They are all local people using their own car....the price is right, and I remembered to tip! Awesome ride :) read more

I really wish help had a -star rating. Left driver picked me and my handicapped companion up at mountain view station. I told the driver my name and we got in...we started out and he asked where we were going I told him and added in had added the destination when calling for lyft he then noticed that another fair had cancelled...he then said we had wrong car...pulled over and told us to get out... We called Uber and got to our destination... No more lyft for me...they maybe s few cents cheaper..but zero customer support..when I contacted them they send an automated request for more information ... And as things like the drivers name ..wtf... BUYER BEWARE read more

Stockton has been the worst people to drive for Lyft and uber. Most people I picked up are ghetto ( black in particular). These people will request a Lyft ride literally just to go 2 blocks away just to get a soda or a swisher. Lol not to mention I was on the other side of town and had to drive 10 miles 15 minutes to get to them. And then they take forever inside the convenient store. No tip either. read more

My driver Muhammad was harassing me and asked me for my phone number. He wanted me to contact him directly instead of LYFT. I wouldn't give it to him, so he made me put his number in my phone. (he had me show him that i was adding his number to my phone) He wanted me to give him a big tip and a 5 star review. I didnt give him a negative review or a tip, because i didnt want any retaliation. The very next day i received a $50 damage charge for damages to the inside of his car. BTW his car reeked of filth and cigarettes. I contacted LYFT and disputed the claim verbally and via email. The gentleman i spoke to on the phone was very sympathetic. BUT, when i received the email from LYFT denying my dispute on the claim, i was very upset and tried contacting them, and nobody would get back to me. After all this, MUHAMMAD ended up with a $50 tip. I cant believe LYFT would allow this type of service. I will never use them again. read more
