Sylis Real Estate seriously needs to be sued already by everyone including myself that their dangerously ignorant negligent and incompetent ways of doing business including deleting or hiding reviews that expose them for who they really are because it will take away business. they absolutely love taking advantage of people who have nowhere else to go and have absolutely no problem throwing you out on to the street under a tree in front of their property behind the bus stop with you stuff outside with you of which has actually happened and the rest of your stuff either thrown out in the dumpster or stolen by staff or residence. the living conditions are also uninhabitable since they value money over high quality property as well as resident safety and security. over time it becomes impossible to live here without being attacked by apartment management or by the crime that this place attracts either by outsiders or by other people who live here. Sylis Real Estate needs to be held accountable for their actions as well as their crimes against humanity and they need to be brought to justice and pay for their selfish and greedy actions.

In addition to that they also provide I correct information about what is considered an emergency when it comes to the Texas weather and heat and fail to communicate or notate things the answering service states. On several occasions I was promised work orders where put in that did not get put in and promised follow up for work orders and have been told by staff they had no knowledge of any of this. With the weather being over 100 degrees nearly every day it's also a violation of the law to not fix the air conditioner my apartment should not be 85-98 degrees when it's set at 70 or below.

Immediately there were 2 big issues. First, the Zillow posting I found them through said that the unit had a washer and dryer (I have the screenshots) and it did not. When I asked about that they told me they had to select that instead of hook-ups available because it was the only option they had. Stupid lie but whatever. They sent me my lease the day before I was supposed to move in. It was supposed to be a 1 year lease, but when I received it it was only for 10 months. I reached out (they do NOTHING in person) and they told me at the last minute the owner decided they wanted leases in the neighborhood to end at the same time and I could take it or leave it. It was the day before move-in and everything was ready to go so I didn't have time to find anything else. They could care less about repairs while you live there. But the real fun starts when you move out. They steal your security deposit. It is illegal and I am not sure how they get away with it. First, they seemed surprised when I drove to their office in the middle of nowhere because I didn't trust them to be honest about receiving my keys in the mail. When I told them who I was, they said they didn't know I was moving out. I have every email communication with them for the entire time I lived there. I let them know 3 months in advance (only require 60), and reconfirmed a month out. I received late rent notifications for the next 2 months! Then, I did not receive my list of deductions until a week and a half AFTER my 30 days within which they are supposed to have my security deposit to me. I received the actual check almost 1 month late, 2 months after I moved out. I disagreed with the deductions and wanted an explanation and I was told (again, I have the email) saying they couldn't tell me as they don't look at the units. They hire an outside company to come in and whatever they charge the tenant is charged. So I assume from reading the reviews that this company goes in and charges regardless of condition to Turnkey, and then Turnkey marks that up to make profit. There was NOTHING wrong with my unit. In my decades of renting I have never had any portion of my security deposit not returned. Also, my security deposit check is from a company out of Fort Worth, Insight Realty Network. In searching that company, it looks like it was in a virtual office and has rolled into another reality group. So I assume they ran into legal issues and had to dissolve somewhat. Everything about this company is shady. I made an official complaint with the BBB that now shows on their company page. I reached out to every news agency in San Antonio and told them about this company but sadly there was no interest in this story. This company keeps deposits in bad faith which is illegal in the state of Texas. They regularly break the following Texas State rental laws: §92.103, §92.107, §92.109. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They blocked me on IG because I added this review to their post. They have also removed reviews from their FB because they had 1 star reviews there as well!
