We are not a family of tennis players, but we like the sport and it's a fun free activity for us all (as long as you have the equipment). They offer 2 practice boards that are on the court near the street. This was useful for us, but annoying when we hit the ball over the fence because you either had to climb the fence to get you ball, or take a long walk around. We came here when it was before this visit thinking they would have the lights on to see if we could play, but they weren't on, so come during appropriate times.

I've been here for basketball games before and most recently, this was the host for the GIAC…read moretournament that happened on Valentine's Day. The first game for us was at 10am and if we won, the championship game was at 2pm. The parking lot for this school is very small making it challenging. The school is across the street from a church which I noticed overflow parking there and also people parked on the street. They don't have a label on the doors for the gym entrance, so I just followed the flow of people going inside. The concession stand is right after the entrance and then the gym is on the right. The cost of admission was $5 for me and $3 for my son (student discount). They take card and cash for admission. They did not have a printout sheet of the teams with player names for this tournament. It's a small gym, and seating is limited to two sides of the gym. Restrooms were upstairs because the teams were using the downstairs restrooms as their locker rooms. You can use card or cash to purchase items from concessions. My son tried to purchase hotdogs for us, but they said it wasn't ready, so I got a can of coke and he got a Hersey bar for $3. I also purchased a cookie which was $3 that I found out was another business selling them here. My son went back after some time to get a hotdog, and it was $2. He asked if they were beef and they told him yes. My son's team made it to the championship game, and since we had plenty of time in between games, I left the building to run some errands. The lady taking money for admissions had us write our names down so we didn't have to repay to get back in. When we came back for the championship game, a loose dog was following my son and I to the gym. We were nervous at first, but it didn't seem like it was going to harm us. Knowing where we were going, the dog waited by the door, so I thought maybe his owner was inside. The dog came inside, ran on the court, and everyone looked shocked, and I asked if anyone knew the owner. The athletic director came out to escort the dog back outside, stating it was a neighborhood dog and luckily it was friendly. First time that's happened to me lol. My husband was at work for the 1st game, but was able to attend the 2nd game. He purchased a hotdog from concession, but I told him it didn't look like the one our son had from earlier so he went back to ask if it was beef or pork, but they told him they didn't know, he doesn't eat pork so he asked if he could get something else. At first they were hesitant but they switched it with nachos. He was upset about it, and he said all of the cheese for the nachos was at the bottom which he didn't like. My son's team became the 2026 GIAC champs this day!!!

They have decent parking, but I was confused which door to enter until I saw people walking in a door. When I entered, I didn't see anyone collecting money for admissions, so I just walked on in. They only had one side for bleachers so all the fans were mixed, and it was a packed crowd. It was a competitive, nail biter game, which makes it exciting. A lot of the fans displayed poor sportsmanship which created bad energy and threw the vibe off. The refs did an ok job calling the game.

Love love love this school teachers are amazing and so helpful. They don't just slap a packet in…read morefront of you and tell you to fill in the blanks. They work hard to get you across the stage. The lunch is so optional and so many different selections everyday. Not same old same old. The lunch also actually has flavor. The school isn't dark and depressing and students actually seem to enjoy there time. Hands on work I'm science classes which make it so much fun. The library is beautiful and colorful. Not just bland solid walls like PMHS.

Indian Creek High School was a solid venue for a basketball game. It was easy to locate using GPS,…read moreand finding the gym entrance was straightforward, which I always appreciate. There was a decent-sized parking lot conveniently located near the entrance. Admission was smooth, as they accepted both cash and card, and they provided an information sheet for both teams, I love having these available. Near the entrance, I noticed a drink vending machine, though it only accepted $1 bills. The gymnasium itself is centrally located with plenty of seating space for spectators. It's well lit, and the scoreboards are clearly visible from both sides of the gym. Concessions were available with reasonably priced items. I purchased popcorn and a hot dog because I was told it was beef. The items I got were good. On the walk to the concession stand, there was a booth selling freshly baked cookies, three for $2. They accepted cash and card. The smell alone was impossible to resist, and they did not disappoint. They were so good that I ended up buying another set. I wanted really wanted more! This was a pleasant and well-organized game-day experience. Selling the freshly baked cookies is a rememberable.

My nephew, who is currently a 10th grader attending here, has received multiple recognitions during…read morehis short time here. LC Bear of the Month, Perfect Attendance, and the Honor Roll Certificate have all been awarded to him. He sends me photos of these certificates, which lets me know that he is proud to have earned them. He has always been an excellent student, and I am happy that the school makes the effort to recognize those deserving students for their focus and determination. I recently visited the school to pick my nephew up early, and that process did not go as smoothly as I would have liked. I arrived and gave his name to the person manning the front desk. I should mention that the doors to the school were not locked, so I was able to walk directly into the foyer. The young lady called into his class and advised me that he'd be on his way. I waited over 15 minutes before inquiring about his whereabouts. I was then told that he was finishing up a test and would be on his way soon. I think this information should have been relayed to me after the initial call to his classroom. I asked if he'd be allowed to leave the building without me escorting him and was told that he would. I returned to my car. Due to it being so close to dismissal, I'm guessing, I was unable to pull up to the front door and had to park in the lot, which is not very close to the entrance. Shortly thereafter, my nephew appeared in the parking lot, at my car. This process didn't feel very secure. I did not have to show I.D., or sign him out, or even wait to retrieve him. I would love for them to tighten up the procedures around early dismissal.

My eldest daughter is a senior at LC this year and has been involved in theater, arts, and is on…read morethe newspaper. She's had the opportunity to make great friends and enjoy her teen years contributing and gaining much needed experience to advance to the next level. Last year she was in several productions, including a fabulous rendition of Beauty and the Beast. She's now cast in Les Miserables, and has recruited her grade school sister to join her - pushing her to audition for one of the younger parts. She, too, was cast - as little Eponine. Ms. Horrigan, the theater instructor, and Mr. Ellis, the music teacher, put in long hours to prepare for their productions. I'm proud to have the opportunity to see both girls on the same stage. Likewise, the school newspaper has grueling deadlines for all on staff. Many late nights have been put in getting the final details in for the printing of each issue. My daughter has columns in the paper on local music shows, cd releases and movies. This creative outlet has allowed her to grow as a journalist and learn the ins and out of editing and page placement. I'm grateful for the wonderful programs offered at LC and the foundation that has been created for the next chapter in her life.
