One of my top three was to invest in a high end photographer so we would have our day documented in a beautiful way so that we could carry the memory of us and our special family with us forever! I felt it was worth the investment! After doing much research I found our photographer, Poly Mendes! I was so excited when she agreed to work with us! I was planning from afar so we chatted with the lovely Poly via Skype as we were not able to meet in person before the wedding. We knew without a doubt that we were making the right choice and we didn't have to worry, at all! I can honestly say it was one of my favorite parts of my whole wedding having Poly be our photographer! She made us all feel so comfortable and made friends with us all too! Poly has some big fans within my family: After the wedding my brother says when I get married I want her to be the photographer at my wedding and my grandma said if she's ever in Duluth, MN have her call me and I would love to get together with her and take her around town! It was an experience we'll never forget. She is sweet and captures the littlest things that made your day, your day! You'll also have little moments that you'll treasure besides the dreamy photos she captures; she happened to see several monarch butterflies floating along the shoreline at our lake location and pointed them out to us and told us the significance of them which is very meaningful to us to this day! I'm blown away by her talent and grace. She's a gem and someone you will not be disappointed in, I promise!

I've worked with a lot of photographers and it was truly one of the best photographer experiences I've ever had. There are endless positive comments I could share about Poly but here are my key highlights: * Poly made us feel SO comfortable during the entire photo session. She is so warm, welcoming and so easy to be around. This is an easy thing to underestimate but a photographer's ability to make you feel comfortable like she does is EVERYTHING. It helps ease any awkwardness if getting photographed and helps bring out your natural personality that will shine in photos. * We aren't naturals in front of the camera by any means and she was so incredible about giving us direction to help capture the moments we wanted, which was hugely beneficial to us. She would even give out little "woofs" to try and get our dog to look at the camera, ha! * She wants to ensure you're happy with the photos and how you looks so she even asked what our favorite "sides" were and gave us a sneak at the photos so we could correct anything we wanted which I REALLY appreciated! * She has a beautiful editing & photography style that gives you timeless photos you'll be happy with for a lifetime. She did a fantastic job of capturing natural light and all the pretty little details. * Did I mention she's absolutely adorable and has a personality to match?! She was so fun to shoot with. Amanda shot my engagement photos in June of 2013 and my wedding photos in October of 2013. She was…read moreabsolutely fantastic! She was very easy to work with, took exactly the type of shots we wanted (mostly candids/semi-formal shots with some posed portraits, and artistic detail shots), and wore a smile the whole time! She had excellent ideas and suggestions for shots and was open to our suggestions. She also captures photos you have no idea she's taking. For example, she got an aerial shot of our wedding ceremony--which was only about 20 minutes long and she still had time to capture all of the rest of it. Amanda was recommended to us by a friend whose wedding she photographed, and we are so happy to have picked her as our wedding photographer. Our pictures are beautiful and excellent quality. We've gotten tons of compliments on them. I would absolutely recommend Amanda to anyone looking for a wedding photographer in the Twin Cities and outer suburbs area. I am severely disappointed in my experience with Tamera Grundhoefer and Click Chick Photography…read more First off, I paid when I booked our session and then received an email saying that I needed to pay by 9/19/15 if I wanted to keep my session date. I checked with my credit card company and found that the charge HAD gone through and then when I asked her to check on it she said she would do it Monday--- after the date she had given me. Annoying since my $150 was "supposedly" not received. At our session she tried to cut it 15 minutes short because she had filled her memory card and dropped her spare. We had to ask her to continue. She did not give us any directions during the session which was very disappointing since she is the one taking the pictures and can see what needs to be fixed. She also chose to do them with an ugly fence in the background that I didn't realize until she sent our pictures. I trusted that she knew what she was doing. In the end that was a huge mistake. The real problems began after I received her photos. There were multiple issues with them. My daughters shirt was up, super ugly fence in the background, etc... She also edited/took them weird where lots of the photos we were at the bottom of the photo and there was tons of trees above us. Of course for family pictures I want the fall colors, but I want my family to be the focus of the photos. My main issue was that she didn't get a single good picture of my two children together. Not even kind of good. My daughter was on my son's lap and her hair was covering his eyes in every photo like that and in another one that was ok- her hand was super blurry. When I brought this (or anything) up she was extremely defensive. For the longest time all she was willing to do was a discount to another session. Unacceptable- she didn't provide the first time why would I pay her more money? Finally, after 50+ emails regarding the issue she did a 10 minute session and guaranteed 5 good photos. She was being super picky about the date even though the weather was getting cold and I wanted similar photos to match the other photos that we had taken. Finally after much convincing she agreed to an earlier date. But seriously we have probably 100+ emails at this point she is so difficult to work with. Now, I developed my pictures and the family picture taken shows up grainy and pixilated. I had another photographer look at it and it is an editing issue. I had the same photo developed in multiple sizes and it shows up in all of them so it's clearly not the printing. My friend says that it appears she over sharpened my face since the image was out of focus. Tamera refuses to do anything. She claims it is a developing issue and she won't look at it or send me the raw images so I can have someone else edit it. This is the picture that I had wanted to frame and give to family as I didn't really care for the other family pictures she took. My friend also told me her photo sizes are too small which can lead to lower quality photos. This particular photo was 951 KB and my friends typical size is 6-7 MB. Bottom line is that she knows NOTHING about customer service. She will take your money and then not provide anything of worth. Don't be deceived by the good photos on her website. I was deceived by them, but it is NOT what I received at all! Do yourself a favor and choose someone else.
