My best friend from high school and I skipped class and caught a ride out here and sadly found out we had no way to get home and had to call my mom to come get us. The best show was U2 during their War tour, right before they became stars in the US. That album still gives me chills when I hear it, it was such an epic concert and my friend and I had managed to get right up to the front. When I saw them again at the old Palladium in NYC there was no getting near at all, we caught them just before they rocketed to the top of the charts. This place is a great venue to see big bands in a somewhat smaller venue.

I know they have moved the campus location since I last attended in 2011 but it seems their philosophy hasn't change one bit and if anything, has improved. Their faculty and staff are nothing but helpful and I always hang up the phone very pleased after contacting their Registar or Business Offices. They are great with returning phone calls and assisting with you through every problem you may encounter. The professors I have had at the University, whether online or in a classroom setting have always been fantastic. I always say that if I could go back in time, I would have started at a Community College and this is definitely the one I would have chosen to go to. I have learned more in online classes here than I have in the classroom at other Universities. The cost is reasonable, but make sure you mail in your Certificate of Residency to ensure you are getting instate tuition.

Took the time to talk to his student, understand what was going on with his driving and with wonderful teaching skills and patients he was able to show him (in a positive way) how to correct his mistakes. I needed a lab kit via Ecampus, so i ordered my voucher and redeemed it. I ended up needing to drop the summer course before even getting my lab kit, so I returned it via fedex as it was still en-route and have yet to recieve my money back. I didn't get reimbursed for any tuition, but i knew that was gonna happen. What isn't great is another 400 stacked on top of that. Every phone number I've been given I have been redirected to someone who will not answer.

Love that FLCC is in my community. The college offers a diverse set of activities- even if you do…read morenot attend the college. For example, my son has lacrosse practice here, I've seen seniors on the tennis courts playing pickleball, and there are amazing trails. Additionally, many community dinners are held here. Also- a big fan of the vintner program. I am an alumni and appreciate all the FLCC brings to the community.

I have so many good things to say about HWS that I am not sure it could fit in a Yelp review!…read more Let me just list some of my favorite aspects of HWS: The people -- President Gearan is one of the smartest, civically minded, dedicated, and successful people you will ever meet. I think that he is one of the greatest assets of HWS along with his wonderful family. He and his family made my time at HWS so memorable. Also, the professors are fantastic. I graduated almost 3 yrs ago and continue to collaborate on research articles with one of my undergraduate mentors. The relationships you develop with the people at HWS can really last years, if not a lifetime. There are so many great people on campus it is hard to list them all -- but I want to give a shoutout to the Admissions staff and the Alumni House staff who are also fun and awesome! Woo. The campus -- The campus is beautiful and they do a good job of renovating and keeping it up-to-date for the most part. Also, you are on a 35 mile long lake in the middle of NY wine country! Yes, that means wine tasting, wine tours and wine class (.5 of a credit!). This is absolutely appropriate considering it is freezing and miserable 6 months out of the year so they need to make up for this in some way -- aka their proximity to vineyards and wineries. Also, you can basically navigate between any 2 points on campus in 20 minutes. The education -- My undergrad education absolutely prepared me for my post-college life and has set me up for a PhD program. Overall, the professors were knowledgeable, dedicated and fair. If you work hard and are intelligent, you will do well. I feel as if many of my professors had high standards that pushed me to always do my best. Basically, I love HWS and think that the opportunities overall are hard to parallel. The study abroad, community service and career development opportunities are all excellent and worth the ~$53,000/yr pricetag!

Kinda tough, given that I almost have to give it 5 stars…read more.. but this past summer, back for reunion, they did it up in style. gave us the freedom and flexibility to choose from a number of planned activities, or do nothing at all, and hang out on the quad until 3 a.m., even giving us unfettered access to the sound system, so we could blast 80's tunes on the sound system. Everything for reunion was done extremely well, which reflects the leadership of President Gearen and the culture of the school that hasn't changed signficantly since I left many years ago. Hell, even Professor Marvin Bram is still tooling around on his 1950's era bike. Great school, excellent faculty and students. Hidden gem. Thanks Bishop Hobart!!

Just wrapping up my first week of the intro offer at Pele and have to echo the thoughts of every…read moreother reviewer - Danielle and this studio have the special sauce. To give some context, I have done intro offers/comped classes at almost every studio in town. Breathe, yoga vibe, M/body, Tru, JCC...I've "yoga'd" it up with very mixed emotions in each experience, and don't get me wrong, many have been great. Then there were other times when thoughts like "my body isn't right for this" and "everyone else here can do this and I just can't do this" alllll the way to "why would anyone do yoga this shit is dumb." After participating in a Yelp event with Danielle, I felt SEEN (via Zoom!) and my body was like OKAY YAS! I signed up for the intro offer IMMEDIATELY and have been enjoying very COVID friendly outdoor classes at their Woodbury street studio. Classes range from 2-5 people max and students are encouraged to do what is right. NOT what is right for the proper/perfect pose, not what looks right...but what feels right. I know this seems super intuitive, but the stress on peace and play has really makes these classes special, not to mention the hour FLIES by. I have yet to take a class from a different instructor, but am looking forward to in the very near future! I highly recommend giving the intro offer a try. I plan on buying 5 class passes after my intro offer to flexibly meet some varying wellness goals. If you are travelling from out of town or a performer at Geva, this is a PERFECT option for catching a workout! Convenient location with danger of overspending at Fuego post-class, as they are located in the same building. YAY Danielle YAY Pele Yoga. Pele is the first studio I've found where I actually became a full member to. The instructors…read moreactually connect with you and want to know you on and off the mat. They do not sit at the front of the room and instruct rather they interact with you during class helping to position you to go further into your practice and even help with unfamiliar poses. There is a wide variety of classes with something to fit everyone's schedule. The studio is in the heart of downtown and conveniently located next to a coffee shop for a great pre and post hangout. It is a single room studio but they even have a shower in the back. I am so glad to have met Danielle and had the opportunity to join the Pele community. Their intro offer gives you a chance to try all the classes and fully immerse yourself into the space. Don't skip out on this place! ‍
