Our online reservation was not honored. We booked for a premium spot during labor day. Upon reaching the check in the lady, Karen, said they are giving us a premium spot as we paid and reserved online. However when we reached we had been given a rv spot. When we went back and said that you guys deceived us they said premium means water + electric. We also saw that at the same time a family was given our spot as they came to our reserved spot and started camping. What happened they gave our spot to another family who were probably their friends. We also asked around and regulars their told us that there are only two premium spots. When we reserved online the pictures in the post clearly showed it was under the tree shade but we were offered the spot next to rv under the sun The manager here is even ruder than Karen at the check in as she was called and tried to make us believe that we were given premium spot. We took another spot and had to move our stuff. We even left one day early. In short booking online through KOA was not honored here and we felt scammed/cheated here read more

I've been going here as a family tradition for 8 years now. We love this place so much!! Always a great time on every trip. Even though sometimes it rains, or windy, or sunny and hot! We are never disappointed. We've camped, used our RV, and rented on of the cabins. Every March my four daughters call me up asking when the next trip will be!! Love this place. read more

Lyons Ferry Marina - Lyons Ferry KOA - Campgrounds Near Me - LaCrosse, Washington

Everyone seemed friendly and very helpful. Wallly helped set up my trailer. Janice said I could put up a temporary fence for my dogs around my RV. The RV Park was on the river and had a large boat dock. The area was perfect for stream fishing and being in nature. Then I started noticing oddities almost from the start. There is a dog run where your dogs can run free. I used it the first day and I noticed Janice up on her balcony watching me through binoculars. Then, Wally was watching me through the binoculars. I drove back to my trailer and Wally had jumped into their golf cart and was tearing past me when I asked him if I had done anything wrong. He said 'no' and drove more slowly. I got back into my truck and was leaving the park when Wally would drive then stop and then drive again, heading towards the dog park. As soon as I cleared the top of the hill, I look back and he drives and checks out the dog park... I guess to make sure I had cleaned up after my dogs. It felt off here, but did not say anything. I thought I had arrived back from a trip to town at about 5pm. I noticed the open sign was still on at the store so I ran into the bathroom and when I came out I went to the front door. I had noticed through the window that Janice had run behind some shelves. I went to the front door and it was locked. The door said it closed at 6pm so I went back to my truck to see the time. It was 6:04 and I looked up and Janice ran behind the shelves again and the Open sign was turned off. It was just silly timing on my part and I did not expect them to stay open past their closing time. But, there was no reason for the sneaking and hiding and deception. Before I moved in I was told that the dogs needed to be on a leash. Except, I noticed that only my dogs were on a leash. Within the first few days, I noticed a minimum of 10 loose dogs. I was told that I could not have both my pickups by my trailer and I was told where to park my truck. I noticed that the other tenants had two trucks up top. One even brought his big truck and boat up top though I was told I could not do that and where to leave my utility trailer down below in the parking lot. I noticed the neighbors parked their car in an empty RV lot. I tried to take my garbage to the garbage area but it was always full so I was having to store it in the back of one of my trucks. Today I noticed that someone had stolen my very heavy and expensive hitch from my F350 and the pins from the hitch on my Ranger. I also noticed my stair step was also stolen from the back of my truck and my fishing net. Yesterday, one of the workers stopped by my trailer and nocked causing my dogs to bark and to wake me up from a sound sleep. Yes, it was during the middle of the day, but I am disabled. I am probably at 40-50% of my abilities and sleep is the only time my body can heal itself to get me through the rest of the day. I have a neuromuscular disorder and I am in a great deal of pain most of the time and my pain is only diminished after I get good sleep. I take naps during the day because my body requires I take naps during the day. Otherwise I can no longer function. The reason this person knocked on my door was to tell me I had to move my utility trailer to this place out of the parking area. I parked it exactly where I was told to park it and I can no longer move it because both of my hitches are either stolen or disabled. Today, again someone knocked on my trailer, causing the dogs to bark and wake me up from a deep sleep. I am not happy when I open the door, only to be told I had to move my F350 down to the parking lot because someone was moving into Lot 3. I am in lot 1. I parked my F360 exactly where I was told to park it and my Ranger was tucked in behind my RV so it was not in the way. I looked and there was plenty of room for moving an RV into lot 3. There was a lot more room than I had when I moved in. For me to park my F350 down in the parking lot, would mean I would have to walk back up the stairs. I have 7 herniated disks in my neck, one at my lower back, multiple bulging disks in the middle and lower back. I have arthritis up my spine. Both of my knees need to be replaced and both of my feet have fallen arches, arthritis and planar fasciitis. It would be excruciating to walk up those stairs. I believer this facility is not friendly to the disabled and I am being targeted as I am unable to defend myself from theft or bullying. read more

Lyons Ferry is a Gem amongst the rough. After RV camping through Washington, Idaho and Montana these last two weeks, the Palouse Falls was a trip we wanted to make on our way home. I am so glad we did! The owners of the KOA Campground are extremely hospitable and friendly. We booked online and expected to arrive after closing time at 5pm. I called at our last fill up to let them know our approximate timing on arrival which was around 5:30pm. My suggestion is to call the campground as this is in a remote area that you would not want to arrive at with out a reservation. The hosts happened to be available when we arrived, helped us get our camper in our spot and was friendly enough to open their store back up for ice for our coolers. Every site has a water view. Bathrooms and showers were clean and the water pressure was great. The State park is across the bridge which is where we got our kayaks out for the day and definitely you MUST go see the Palouse Falls! Regardless of age or health you can see the falls from the location. We opted to hike 3 miles around the area which was breathtaking. This would be an awesome place for a group location as there is a large firepit by the water at the end of the campground. Plenty of spots at the marina if you bring a boat. We went into Dayton, WA for dinner one night, its about a 34 minute drive. We ate at Chief Spring's Fire and Irons Brew Pub and had the best pizza ever and excellent beer. Back to the campground. Our experience here was one that will go down as one of the best locations in our 30 years of camping. We noticed lots of fishermen staying here. Sound carries and if you're a loud group at night it might not be your place. We had no problems what so ever and highly recommend. Can't wait to go back! read more

Avoid this place if you can. If you fish and just have to put your boat in some water near Palouse Falls WA, this may be an option. Otherwise, avoid this place. And specifically do not eat at the cafe. The cook is dreadfully slow, and the food is very poorly prepared. On Apr 30 a group of us stopped there and ordered. About 1 hr later the food started to arrive. The chicken fried steak was 'the worst I've ever had' said three who had it. My BLT was overtoasted, bacon overcooked, tomato thinner than a knifeblade. However, the fries were good. Oh, and watch the cook and servers hands, They get their fingers in the food, and their clothes, and the tables...sanitary is not a byword. So in sum, if you can avoid it, you should. read more

The campground is clean and sits right above the marina with a nice view of the river. People were quiet after 10 pm. The hosts were pleasant and there is a cafe and store. However, spots are narrow and all lined up in a row with RVs parallel to one another about 10 ft apart. The worst part, however is the "wifi" I put that in quotes because it is so dysfunctional. I had to sign in again with password every time I wanted to open anther email, read a Facebook notification, Google somethings, etc. Each time I did sign in I was sent to an ad for LyonsFerry KOA. Half the time the page I was trying to get to didn't even load after all that because it took too long. After signing in dozens of times it was no better. It was the same frustrating experience on 4 different devices we had. Settings would always say we were connected but no matter how many times we entered the password every time we tried to go someplace else we were again asked for login password and then sometimes we would get to our requested page. Ended up being MUCH slower than dialup used to be Also, terrain in the area surrounding the KOA camp is treeless, desolate desert and some huge wheat farms that are brown and already harvested this time of year read more

Decent and Quiet campground with better than expected amenities. The bathroom was clean and they had an area for washing dishes. One of the hosts some dude with an awesome beard and crew cut helped us out and offered our kids some otter pops and was very friendly and welcoming to us. The marina was very busy and after dark we could hear coyotes and owls. My only complaint was the lack of a campfire pit but we couldn't do a fire anyway so it was fine. The manager of this place trashed our sailboat while it was anchored up in the mouth of the Palouse. He used a jet boat to wash her into the rocks and stole our rudder. He also removed several ring dings from the rigging. He was an ass when confronted about it. I attempted to file charges on him, but did not have enough evidence for the local cops. I feel the least I can do is let people know what he did. Btw, their food sucks. read more

The restaurant food is mediocre. The employees are very accommodating! It is a KOA campground so there aren't very many trees, but the size of the RV space is adequate and has electric and water. It is a great place to camp if you want to kayak the Palouse river! read more

Two of us stayed at the RV park and enjoyed dinner at the restaurant on opening day of their dining season. My friend's strict dietary needs were met with a salad with fish that was not listed on the menu. They took extra care in making sure my friend's diet requirements were satisfied. We stayed at the KOA because the campground at nearby Palouse Falls was totally full. This campground was full, also, but the awesome owner Jim allowed us and another couple to camp on the lawn by the boat launch, since we were quite out of options so late in the day. We were assigned overflow spaces that aren't used unless absolutely necessary so the grass stays nice and lush for picnics and events. We got very lucky!!! The regular tent sites aren't as ideal as those prime spots, though they're unusually private (a huge plus!), and the campground overall is clean and nice, right on the water with lovely views. It's sure better than crossing your fingers that you'll find a spot at a first-come, first-serve state park -- and honestly it's much nicer than the incredibly crowded Palouse campground, which is very primitive (and about the same price). Jim was so friendly and helpful, both when I called, desperate for a spot, and the next day when we awoke to a flat tire on a Saturday morning. He made calls and found us an open tire shop in a charming town called Dayton, about 40 minutes away, and gave us tips on fixing the tire enough to make it there. He also gave us handouts that he'd written explaining the unique history of the area, which we enjoyed. read more

A couple budys and I camped there the weekend that sailboat was docked there. The owner of it walked around telling everyone stories about what happened. After talking to another camper there at the time, that he had also talked to, we quickly realized that this guy liked to tell stories. He told us two different stories, ones completely different from whats posted here. I for one liked this place. My friends and I were spending a few days camping together. we were looking for places off the grid but there aren't many out there so we decided we would just camp at the KOA for the night. The area is well maintained and their prices are pretty good. The food isn't the best but its made up for in service. EVERYONE there is very friendly. We had no complaints, except for my 30 year old friend being refused alcohol, that just made for an annoying night listening to him say how young and handsome he is compared to the rest of us 30 year olds lol. We actually made friends with a couple of the employees there. Oh and the big pipe to get to the pond makes for great acoustics. We spent most the day playing guitars and singing in there. During the night we played by campfire at the community fire pit, which is very nice and is pretty private even though it is for everyone to share. If we make it back out there we will probably stay there again. read more

I took the time to download this app just to write a review which I never do. I'm frustrated with the lack of customer service at this camp site. One of the ladies who works there was rude on the phone, gave inaccurate information to us about the camp site (so we were expecting something different), and was also rude in person when we questioned (nicely) about our spot. The camp site was awful. Only a small patch of grass with very few trees providing little to no shade and right next to other campers. We paid $80 for two days on 4th of July weekend. They ran out of ice also which was very frustrating. To top it off, the fireworks were definitely not worth watching. This place is NOT the place to go unless you have a boat. The river is amazing and very large with lots of room to have fun. Won't be going back again as there are much better camping areas in WA not far from home that are far more beautiful with much more trees and wildlife. read more
