Everything is included in the admission price. The Westbad offers the ideal combination of facilities - enjoy stamina training in the 25-meter sports pool or tone up with aqua-gymnastics in the non-swimmers' pool in a way that is easy on the joints. Dive into the large adventure pool, brave the 60-meter water slide, get carried along by the flowing water torrent or simply enjoy the waterfall. Take it easy in the whirlpool, the steam room or open-plan sauna area which are all included in the pool admission price. The center's large outdoor pool has the warm water which is enriched with Bad Reichenhall salt water. We had a great time relaxing in the open-air with the Jacuzzi seats and massage jets. The pool itself is very nice but not exactly what I was expecting. They have only three lanes marked for "sports swimmers", ie people who want to swim laps. Actually three lanes is supposedly a lot for Germany although it's pretty surprising to an American swimmer. Thus, it gets a bit crowded in the lanes during the summer, around noon and after work. Early mornings and 1pm are good times to go to get the pool more to yourself. They also do not have flags for backstrokers and their lane lines aren't colored so as to indicate where the wall is. They also have a sauna and a great diving pool, although I haven't tried either. The hours are very generous, to accommodate any schedule and they have a swim shop in the building in case you forget anything.

The pool to me is a little to "cold" - thats not the water, but the way the marbel steps and all are set up. There is no place to relax - except maybe outdoors in the summer. The hot outdoor pool is realy nice, but way too often way too crowded. This also goes for the main pool - you have to get out of peoples way a lot. The stream room would be nice, but is very small and also seems "old" and is often crowded. Overall the changing area and the showers could be a little better maintained and cleaned. As to the fitness center, where I go most often. The staff is always open, friendly and helpfull! The machines are good in numbers and usually well maintained towards the excercise part - but the entertainment leaves lots to be desired. TV reception if frequently bad or interruped. Also an online login is shown, no network is available. WiFi would be real nice. You can keep a paper file of your workouth though.

In looking for a day spa in Munich I came across this one and it looked nice on the internet so we…read morethought we would try it and see. In terms of quality this place gets 5 stars and the service is also excellent :-) They have a fairly well equipped gym and the equipment is of top quality. The running machine had built in TV and Internet and loads of different options. The weight machines were also quite versatile. The change rooms and facilities are excellent with loads of lockers and they give you nice robes and towels to change in. If you are visiting the spa you can also get all sorts of toiletries from the front desk. The pool is nice and looks beautiful. There is a sauna and a steam room as well. Again lots of lounge chairs and towels available. The massage I had was excellent and I fell asleep straight away and woke up after quite a while :-) I always do that when the massage is great. All in all a fabulous experience and I would happily come back here any day. I love spas and have been to many around the world and it is nice to know we have a wonderful place not far from home :-)) I look forward to my next visit. Don't forget to try the sample perfumes on your way out that are on the reception counter ;-))
