I tried going with a "Family" Business (found on Facebook) but this one gives them a bad name. Hired them to paint my kitchen cabinets and table top. Turned into a nightmare. Job was to take 3 days, turned into 12 days. Mike (owner) is very unprofessional and called me cursing me out on phone accusing me of assaulting his daughter and saying I had his men walking on eggshells when they were here all because I asked them to not walk on carpet with shoes. He also threatened to burn my table and demanded payment or would put lein on my home (all of this is on camera). I had to have police at my house when they returned my table top because I didn't know what he would do. I now have complete all the touch-ups myself, and had to fix a screw on a drawer and a door that his 'crew' didn't do right, and I have to hire someone else to re-do table top because he ruined it by the paint not being dry when they wrapped it and it has material imprints and other marks on it. Turns out their business name with BBB is listed as M&J Coatings and Painting LLC and are not Accredited. I learned my lesson by not checking BBB before hiring them. You're told that you have 2 year warranty, but they didn't fix the errors because he falsely accused me of assault and made threats to burn my property. So, now I no longer wanted them in my house and will have to fix it myself. Contract says He is licensed, bonded, and insured and would supply that information upon request, yet, when I requested it I never received it. My table top is still an unresolved issue because I had to get a quote to have it fixed and have requested refund from Mike in that amount. Mike not only refused to refund the amount but told us to not contact him anymore. Be careful who you do business with, they are not always what they portray (found him on Facebook) and there are other companies with the same exact wording in their advertisement. I have never had such unprofessionalism from a contractor and would never refer them to anyone for anything! read more

I really tried to like M&J Painting. The new look is great, but unfortunately it came with some issues. I allowed them 3 tries to correct the issues and they still came up short. First, there were a few spots that you could see the old paint through. They came out again (weeks later) to correct it & used the wrong shade of color to correct it, so it didn't match (rookie mistake). Second, they did not use a drop cloth on the back, so paint drops got all over my deck, patio furniture, window sills, grill & metal table & chairs. How you don't use a drop cloth is beyond me, but the only offer that I got to correct it was saying they would scrub it off but then didn't follow though. Still have paint drops & smears all over. Lastly, they filled in a couple holes in my trim. They had to come out again to fill it in completely, but paint job was bad. 3rd time out, they corrected it. Too many costly issues with this company & unprofessional methods will lead me to never call them for anything including fixing their faults. I'd rather pay someone else to clean up M&J Painting's mess that they left behind. read more

Wow! These guys have made the stress of moving into a new house a little less awful. We hired M&J for interior painting on the house we are moving into, that had extensive wall damage from the previous owners. The results after they painted nearly our entire home was incredible. M&J Painting did an absolutely FANTASTIC job! I did not have a small job; they were painting the interior of my entire 100 year old house. The majority of my walls are plaster. Remove a nail, leave a hole much bigger, since plaster usually comes with the nail. They filled all the holes (there were LOTS) and did a little plaster work, too, before painting. I was in awe at how fast they were and the excellent quality of their work. They did a phenomenal job! All four workers were extremely nice, too, as was Mike.
