My local shop for the things I i forgot at the big box store it when I get wanting some junk food.lol. Definitely my coffee stop shop and I always get my lotto tickets here. There is so much to be said about mom and pop places in a time when so few exists. The ones that do can only thank the people who work there for that. And I sure do. They all know my name and even though my kids are grown and live in Iowa and they have never met them they ask me how are the girls. And say when do we get to see your grandkids? They keep in stock the things I buy most there and will order what they don't have if I ask. It's like they are a part of my family and when I give them my money I know where it's going and who it's supporting. They never ask me to self checkout or wait. Even when it's super busy it's relaxed and easy going. It's small things and places like this that can make the rest of your day feel right. So I highly recommend them even if it's out of your way.
