Real good here now. Had several small muffins, local made, some cherry pie, regular brewed coffee, and waiting on special made burrito. Burrito has eggs. pastrami, swiss, and jalapeños. Really good. And some healthy foods and specialty vitamins, herbs, and other good choices. Nice setting and seating options here. Not much in town for dining options of any kind. This place stands nearly as the only place to get fed. Mom of business owner tells me the tables here are several generations family dining tables. And one I'm at is so much the same as what we had at home as kids. Gotta love places as this. read more

The sandwiches were okay. Would have done better at Subway for what we got. My bill was $32 and we got two sandwiches, a smoothie and two soft drinks. Oh and a dollop of coleslaw for $4. Although it was good, I didn't think I should pay extra for a tiny portion of coleslaw to go with my already expensive sandwich. I thought it was a bit pricey for underwhelming food. Nothing for vegetarians besides a lettuce and tomato sandwich. Smoothie was really good. read more

First to review?! I have no idea how. This place is a gem, and I'm not sure why it isn't listed as a restaurant or cafe as well. You can get a cup of coffee, a smoothie, soups, or -- my personal favorite -- REUBENS. The regular and turkey alike are fantastic. Gluten-free? No worries, they have GF bread! This place is completely surprising, with healthy, fresh, delicious food. One time I was traveling from Lincoln to Denver with a friend and he insisted we eat in McCook rather than Imperial... I still haven't forgiven either of us for that mistake. M&M's is incredible, as are the people who own and operate it. p.s. If you're staying in Imperial for the night, go do so at the Balcony House B&B! read more

History

Established in 1994.

I started M&M's in 1994 to provide our community with new options and information in choosing and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, focusing on individual needs. The Sandwich shop filled a need that was missing in our area to provide delicious choices still focusing on quality ingredients. We try to provide allergy friendly options like dairy free, gluten free and more. M&M's has grown from my Mom and I and 1 employee in the first year to now 12 part time employees. We have added new sandwich options and try our best to keep up with the latest trends while maintaining our comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

Meet the Business Owner: Marcy N.

Marcy had a home bakery from 1978 to 1990, raising 3 kids and small day care until she became ill and was diagnosed with chemical and food sensitivities and CFS. She started working on a plan to help others with similar issues with limited resources in a small community and opened M&M's in 1994. She is inspired to continue to provide products to support customers lifestyle and health needs by the amazing support of her patrons. It is exciting to see the advances in Alternative health care ideas and she wants to continue to grow in that knowledge to share with her customers.

Located…read moreon the north edge of Imperial, Nebraska, Broken Arrow Cellars and Hanging Horseshoe Brewing occupy the same space in what appears to be a fairly new building. A large event space sits just off of the tasting room, and would be a lovely setting for a wedding reception - the windows face out to their vineyard! There is also a gazebo north of the building, I assume for outdoor weddings when the weather permits it. Is it ultra-luxurious? Well, no...but it doesn't have to be out here. It's modern and clean, and an oasis in an area that is grossly underserved in the craft beer and wine market. I applaud them for trying to bring something different to the community and surrounding areas! We tried a flight of their beers, and a selection of their wines. While none of their beers were home runs for me, I'd definitely go back to see what else they come up with. The Oktoberfest Märzen was probably my favorite. Their wine on the other hand? Terrific! Whites and reds with a variety of flavor profiles, there is sure to be one that you'll like...unless you're a total snob about your wine or grape varietals :) Cheers to Broken Arrow and Hanging Horseshoe.
