We went shopping one week after opening as you would expect the store was very impressive well laid…read moreout wide isles etc. Then upstairs to try out the café, now Sainsbury's should be well versed at running cafe's every thing was alright except for the wait, didn't order anything out of the ordinary infact they don't sell anything out of the ordinary but both my wife and I thought 40 min's was rather a long wait, when the food arrived the girl muttered something under her breath about there only being 2 people in the kitchen, not an apology! quite disappointing. Went again today 15/7 the store still at it's high standard! until I was at the bakery, and I noticed a fly on a cup cake I pointed this out to the young man serving, he looked at me, looked at the fly and just shrugged his shoulders, needless to say No Sale there, then went for a cup of tea (didn't have 40 minuets to waste) the tea is quite nice no tea bags! proper tea! but the staff seem so miserable and never smile or say thank you when you pay. All in all staff training comes to mind. Now I wonder if the management will respond to this post or are they just like their staff?

It sell almost everything you need but not 10 of each item to choose from. I really recommend the nappies which i thought were as good as the leading brand. The only thing i found disapointing were the quality and selection of fruit & veg, maybe this was due to the time of day i arrived 4pm. Staff were polite and quick on the tills. Easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Lots of parking.

The store itself is of a good size, has a wide range of groceries, some are well known brands others are not english brands, and can take some working out, glad there are pictures on the products. The store has a fiar size fruit and veg section which is very good in price and certainly knocks spots off the competatiors. One negative I found was lack of staff on the shop floor as I came across a few items that were not priced and did not want to wait to the till point before asking. The staff at the till are friendly and helpful.

There is a variety of different brands and sometimes I have never heard of them!!! But that doesn't mean they aren't quality they just are probably from abroad It is nice for unusual sweets and treats and they have great variety packs of things like hollow Easter eggs etc. There is a good selection of wines and alcohol too at low prices great for stocking up for special occasions. These do tend to sell out quite quickly on some occasions though (laptops for example) so it's worth picking up their weekly leaflets to see what's coming out and when to make sure you're first in line! They also tend to stock some lovely foods on the run up to Christmas, which is certainly the one time of year it's best to try and save money!

My wufe and l enjoy a drive out to the store and complete a weekly shop. At 20 minutes car journey its not like a local convenience but the range is excellent. Our cats like their selection of own brand treats whilst fresh fruit veg meat and other produce are abundant and varied. Theres usually good eat on the day bargains to be had. The only slight let down is tgat not all check outs are open which means two or three shoppers with big loads czn soon cause a log jam. Otherwise this store is highly recommended

The large entrance to the store leads you into a small cafe to the left and the main store to the right. The cafe is popular with shoppers, after and before they do their main shop, as they digest the national news with the complimentary papers whilst snacking on some impeccably presented and tasty, although rather small sandwiches. There are also things like scones, pastries, crisps, fruit etc, as well the choice two hot meals towards lunchtime. The main store has a small magazines and newspaper section, that leads you into the cavernous fruit and veg aisle, which compared to some supermarkets is a delight. Yes, as with all food in the shop, it is on the expensive side, but the quality is difficult to beat. The end of this aisle leads into a fascinating meat section, flanked at the end by fish and meat counter. We picked up some soy and honey mackerel fillets, which sounded intriguing. After traversing the again sizeable diary, frozen, bakery and cereal aisles, you come to the most fascinating part of the shop which houses all the marinades, rice, herbs and spices - for a person who loves food like myself, the variety was stunning. The shops rounds with the obligatory wines and spirits section (again copious), and the health and beauty section, attached to an in-store pharmacy, a nice touch. The tills again are very spacious, the staff are friendly and chatty, the whole place has a great feel about it. Pity its so far away and a tad on the expensive site for regular visits.

At weekends it can be very busy in here, a lot of Shifnal's older residents do tend to do all of their main shopping in here. They do have competitive deals on some products but on the whole I personally only use it for the bits I have forgotten to pick up on my main shopping as it can be more expensive for some things. They have a great range of wine in this store though and usually have good deals on beers too.
