    Reveillon menu at M. Bistro

Don't go on a Saturday night before a Football game. On a Sunday night it was almost empty and the service was terrific. We had a Reviellon dinner which was off the wall delicious and superb. I could not think of anything to improve. Drinks were also well made strong and generous pours. It was pricey but worth it

Not sure why the reviews are mid; we really enjoyed our lunch here. We ate the bar and the service was fantastic (Byron and Brittany). The food was amazing too!

Omg everything was amazing from the staff to the food. My family and I stayed in the Ritz-Carlton New Orleans and of coarse we had to try M Bistro it was so good we went two nights in a row. They are baby/kid friendly they have highchairs available upon request. The food the chef makes bomb! Let's get back to the staff from the host to the servers amazing! A big Shoutout to Artie & Pamela went over and beyond for us friendly, nice, patient and fun Thank you Ladies especially for taking care of my baby Niece and spoiling her with yummies if you haven't tried this place please do it's worth it I promise, you get what you pay for and even more..

Visiting NOLA this week and we tried out their breakfast. Breakfast was wayyyyy over priced. The food was good but $40 for one at the buffet? I did not feel as though there was value. Servive was excellent . The Ambiance was magical! It has been beautifully decorated and totally enjoyed the ambiance.

Stayed at the Ritz for a business meeting and experienced M Bistro food twice. Once in the afternoon when we grazed off the bar/lounge menu. The sliders and deviled eggs were both fantastic. Flatbreads were good too, as was the charcuterie plate. Had the purple haze cocktail--can't go wrong when Monkey 47 is listed! Had dinner the next night in the restaurant section and it was great as well. Nice music coming from the lounge for entertainment. The street corn bisque is something I'm going to be talking about for a long time. One spoonful and I told my colleagues I would need some time to myself...to enjoy this amazing bisque. So good I'm going to have thoughts of driving 10 hrs each way to New Orleans to have more. The artichoke-crusted red fish entree was also delicious. Don't forget the beignets for dessert! The whole experience is nothing less than I would have expected from this Ritz Carlton but it was still nice to be so happy after eating and drinking here.

While staying at the Ritz, we stopped in here for breakfast one morning... They have a really nicely-stocked, appetizing-looking breakfast buffet with an omelet station, capable of doing so much more than basic omelettes. We opted to order from the menu and the items we got were well-made, fresh, and tasty. Service was decent. The décor is warming and beautifully embellished. Definitely would return if I wanted to stay in the hotel for breakfast.

Great decor, layout, and design, of course by the Ritz-Carlton, the only 1 restaurant here. Service was good and attentive, but everything else fell short! As an Ambassador Elite member, I expect the Ritz to a higher standard than other brands of the Marriott Bonvoy. With that said, this quality of the restaurant here fell below par compare to other Ritz-Carlton that I've been to. * Fried chicken on brioche was ok, too much breading on the chicken than I barely had any chicken and it was supposed to be spicy, didn't taste and sense any heat! * Gumbo was lukewarm when served, very salty. (I understand the most places serve salty food but this was very salty) * Blackened fish taco was solid. * flatbread was mediocre. The place decorated gorgeously as they are known for, but that was the best part about this spot! Make reservation for the weekend or else you will be waiting an hour, even if you are guest here. Plenty of good places to eat around the area, take a short walk to explore, skip it here unless you want breakfast!

My husband and I came here with my in laws a few weekends ago and had a wonderful time. It's located inside the Ritz Carlton which is an absolutely stunning hotel. We went on a Saturday evening so they had a live jazz band in the adjacent/connected bar who were awesome. The restaurant opens to the bar so you can see and hear the music perfectly. We went in shortly before closing and they were gracious enough to seat and serve us up until shortly after closing time. Our server was attentive and kind, gave good recommendations and even brought us complimentary bread basket to start and complimentary beignets with dipping trio after we finished. To drink, we tried the Famous in New Orleans (fresh and slightly spicy but yummy), purple haze (delicious light and floral), and the bartenders bag of tricks (a delicious light citrusy surprise-bartenders choice for the evening). To eat, we got a few plates of the Oysters Rockefeller (holy smokes so flavorful and rich, nice big ones too!), and everyone got a Cesar salad (yummy, fresh and good texture). We weren't super hungry so didn't get any entrees, but looking forward to going back for full dinner next time because everything sounded so awesome!

Had an amazing time at M Bistro! The vibe was amazing especially with the live jazz music by Jeremy Davenport. The food was delicious! My server was so kind and attentive. I did the Reveillon Menu and enjoyed it all. The Ritz is always so nice during the holidays!

I will start by saying this place is absolutely gorgeous and the jazz band is phenomenal. We decided to come here after searching for somewhere on open table and made our reservation. We were seated upon arrival and our first waitress quickly took our drink order and whizzed off only to be seen again about 45 minutes later. After waiting for a good 20-25 a wonderful staff member named Jerome came and took over. He was so professional and attentive we couldn't have asked for better service from Jerome. I order the snapper which was okay but I would definitely get something else next time. We were surprised yet appreciative that our drinks ended up being comped due to the wait time. Overall, I would come back only for the music and a cocktail.

Excellent breakfast and service. I had the Caprese Omelette and loved it. It's really nice in here but you do not need to dress up for breakfast. I was fine in leggings and a sweatshirt. Would definitely recommend for breakfast if you're staying at The Ritz.

Located on the 3rd floor of the Ritz-Carlton. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the brunch buffet with mimosa option. The selection is huge! Omelets, grits, bbq shrimp, fancy cheese, fresh watermelon juice, and homemade King's cake donuts to name a few. Also included are made-to-order pancakes, waffles, and beignets. Just order them through your server. I enjoyed the grits, homemade donuts, shrimp, and some fancy cheese. I can't forget my mimosa too! Great quality. I wish I had room to try everything because it all looked so tasty. It's a good blend of Southern comfort and yoi r traditional breakfast favorites with the touch of Ritz-Carlton sparkle. I would definitely come back.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

It started the moment we walked in. Glancing at the hostess, asking "OK to sit at the bar?", getting a nod, sitting down. An experience we've done in hundreds of restaurants. (We had reservations for a table but often prefer the bar.) The bartender -- whom we believe was named Mike -- started off his interaction with new customers as follows. "Did you check with the hostess?" I nodded in the affirmative, apparently that wasn't enough. "Check with the hostess", he ordered. I got up, went over the hostess stand, and confirmed, this time so "Mike" could see, that it was OK for us to sit at a half-empty bar. (In retrospect, we should have gotten up and walked out immediately, but it was late and even in the Quarter most places were closing for dinner.) You see, Mike clearly didn't want to be working that night. He was rude, inattentive, and condescending. And not just to us, to everyone seated at the bar. Slow making drinks, slow asking for orders, seething contempt for his customers. One time we asked to see a drink menu to decide on a new drink, he said, and this is a direct quote, "Do you want to see it or do you want to review it?" Mike's behavior was clearly well-known to the staff, because another staff member, who was off-shift and next to us at the bar, witnessed this behavior and arranged for a free dessert on the house (classy move on her part). She confided in us that Mike's pretty much always like that, but that he's a buddy of the general manager so seemingly un-fireable. Well, here's hoping someone reads this and thinks the better of Doris Metropolitan, or at least sitting at the bar. Unless you think service you'd get in a Paris tourist trap cafe is appropriate for a high-end steakhouse, you're better off spending your hard-earned money elsewhere.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! We will be back.

Words simply cannot express how much I continue to be blown away by the exquisite quality of food,…read morebeverage, service, and uncommon hospitality demonstrated and perfectly executed by this New Orleans establishment. My wife and I visited on our first NoLa trip together about 4 years ago and make it a point to go every time now. Our first time we stopped in for lunch at the bar and had an excellent experience, and decided to return. We came back on the next trip just to grab a drink and a snack before heading down for dinner in the Bywater. The bartender (Chris) gave a bunch of recommendations for places to visit that way, all of which we have done in the past few trips and have loved. But it's this past trip where we were truly blown away. We were in town for JazzFest and after walking back to the French Quarter, we were thinking about food options and decided to take a gamble to see if we could get a seat at the bar or maybe grab a drink for the road before getting food somewhere else. The bar was full when we got there around 8/8:15, but they had a no show and could serve us, as long as we ordered quickly and were ok with the check hitting the table right at 9PM. Given our slightly (perhaps generous) inebriated state from being at the festival all day and being slightly underdressed, we felt this was quite a kind accommodation. With the clear expectations of needing to get our orders in quickly, we wasted no time making a decision on our drinks and a few food options. Despite this need for a quick turn around, at no time did we feel rushed. The food and drinks were absolutely perfect, as they always are. But what impressed us most was the staff. At no point did the hostess or wait staff seem annoyed by us, despite us parachuting in from a music festival and looking like sunburn and poor decisions. By managing expectations on the front end, we never felt rushed despite the need for a quick turn around. They were all lovely, professional, and as cordial as if we were regulars with standing reservations once a week. In terms of atmosphere, it is always perfect: lively and fun for a date night, dinner with friends/family, or just a nice drink before a night out and about. I truly cannot begin to explain how much I love this restaurant and every experience I've had there. The awards and accolades this establishment (a sincere and lofty term Jewel of the South truly deserves) have been awarded are beyond well earned. Restaurants around the country should aspire to provide the quality of food, service, and overall hospitality Jewel of the South provides on a regular basis. It will continue to be our first and foremost recommendation to anyone we know who is going to New Orleans. Bravo! We shall return!

Dinner was good, but probably would have been great had the service been better. (The manager and the server apologized, and if we had more time were willing to comp a meal if we could revisit. Unfortunately, we were leaving the next day, so they did the next best thing: they comped almost half of our bill. WELL DONE!) The restaurant is very inviting with parlors and an atrium. The tables are spaced well apart for noise and a possible romantic dinner/Breakfast. :-) Once seated, the server was working very hard but found us. (They may have been short since the jazz festival was in town) She took our drink orders, which arrived quickly. She explained the menu and let us think about our choice. The drinks were Flaura and Fauna, and Ballad Inventory. Both were unique and tasty. When our server returned, we ordered all of our items. We ordered Chicken under a brick and Braised Short Ribs for entrees. We ordered Roasted Mushrooms, Charred Broccoli, and Dinner Rolls. The Kitchen fell short in timing as rolls arrived at the end of our meal, and a few dishes were lukewarm at best. When refired, they were very good. ( See above) The meal itself and the surroundings were good. At the end of our meal, the manager and the server came over and apologized and told us they would be talking to the team. When the bill arrived, the manager had comped more than half of our total bill *( drinks, bread, mushrooms... $ 168 to $85). We didn't expect this, but it shows how much they care to make things right with customers. Elysian Bar and Restaurant is worth visiting, and you should visit for dinner or breakfast. ,
