This is my second year, coming to this place on my visit to Seattle because I am obsessed with their Ube latte. I highly recommend you go and get one immediately. If you're unsure which one sounds best of the lattes go ahead and try the latte flight. I love every single one of them, but my favorite is definitely the Ube the Ube pancakes are also one of my most favorite things here they are served with lots of coconut on top so if you don't like coconut, make sure you ask them to keep that off. I've been to M Cozy a couple of times and both times they were okay food experiences, but the second time was a great service experience. They have recently expanded their menu a ton and have solid options - my favorite being the pandan waffles and fried chicken. The steak skillet is also pretty good! The first time, I felt like the chicken wasn't fried well, but the second time it was solid. Additionally the second time we had a large group and service was amazing considering it is more of a self-service place! It was for a birthday, so I feel like they took extra care which is appreciated. Parking in the area is not great considering you're not supposed to park in the U Village lot, so keep that in mind. read more

Not many seats to go around, but luckily when I was there, place was a bit dead. The restaurant definitely felt more like a cafe than a full restaurant since you order and pay upfront like a cafe shop would. This place is known for their unique brunch items so we got to try their ube pancake. I honestly wasn't feeling the purple colored pancakes. It just felt overly ube-d out with the ube jam. We also got the steak and rice dish and the fish sauce chicken wings. Honestly, their stir fry steak dish was my favorite of the bunch. Wasn't a whole steak by the way. I was expecting that and got stir fried beef. The wings felt more like honey bbq wings than fish sauce wings. I think I would go back just out of curiosity for the pandan waffles. I've been to M Cozy a couple of times since it opened, and beyond the aesthetic interior, it's just okay. I like the idea of the Vietnamese inspired food they offer and their presentation is pretty, but that's about it. The taste of the food was pretty lackluster for most items. The pandan waffles don't taste like pandan, the french toast was dry, and the morning plate was plain. I think their savory dishes are better than their sweet ones, but their prices are pretty high for simple Vietnamese dishes and the amount of food you get. Given that this cafe is owned by the owners of Coffeeholic, their drinks are better than their food. Although, the quality at this location has been declining over time, so I'd suggest going to another Coffeeholic location for drinks if you're able to. Their drink menu is primarily the same. For the price and quality of the food, I don't think I'll be coming back again for another try. M Cozy is very Instagramable if that's what you're looking for or you really want to try their food just once. Otherwise, I'd recommend going somewhere else for brunch. read more

Excellent little cafe, plenty of seating (now that it's not brand new and wildly popular, or so I've heard). I like the fusion Vietnamese food here! I've tried their sticky rice appetizer (didn't realize it was an appetizer, it was filling enough for my lunch) and a matcha flight the first time I came (pretty tasty drinks!). The next time I came I got their ube pancakes and the shaking beef, both also delicious. I'm curious about the banh mi item and the more sugary ones (Thai french toast, drowned ube pancakes), but maybe for another time (when I have people to share it with, perhaps)! We decided to visit M Cozy for lunch after visiting U Village for the first time after moving to the Seattle area. Trying to avoid traffic over the weekend, as we've seen it be pretty terrible around this mall, we walked over from U District station, not realizing how steep it would be! I'd definitely drive next time. Dropping in close to 1PM on Sunday, there was a short line waiting to order at the counter. It didn't take too long and soon we were digging into our food: Saigon Steak Skillet ($22) - This dish comes piping hot on a blazing skillet with a bounty of ingredients to tickle any fancy. There's two slices of cha lua, with the characteristic porky fish sauce umami, thinly sliced and slightly fried. There are two eggs, cooked over medium, with the yolk almost completely set with just a tiny portion of jammy top. Since the eggs rest on the hot plate, they start to develop a bit of a crisp. In the center, a small sphere of pate which I don't recommend eating it by itself. It's really fatty, rich, and very funky irony in flavor - best to spread it on the baguette. There's perfectly cooked ribeye steak cubes, cooked until tender, not tough, in an extremely flavorful umami-full sweet and salty sauce. There are thin sliced caramelized onions mixed into the steak for more allium-forward sweetness. The steak is topped by tomatoes (out of season ones that are very acidic), some crunchy fried garlic chips, and cilantro. The baguette on the side is very good. I'm not sure if it's baked in house or not, but it comes out warmed, is extremely airy, cloudy, and fluffy on the interior, and has that glass-shattering crust that Vietnamese baguettes are famous for. (4/5) Loaded Thai Tea French Toast ($14) - This is a very lazily made french toast. A Loaded order includes two thick slices of bread, cut in half, dipped in batter, and then pan fried. They don't take the time to really soak in the custard, so it only penetrates the top eighth of an inch on both sides. This leaves the inside of the bread dry, defeating the entire purpose of it being French Toast. I do admit the interior is very fluffy, but isn't custardy at all. For the exterior, there's a bit of a crust development from the pan fry, but there's not really any egginess there. I have to assume they take some shortcuts there as well. The dish as a whole is very pleasing to look at, however. They arrange fruits on top, in this case some large blueberries, quartered strawberries, and thinly sliced bananas. One side side are three small mounds of Reddi-Wip-type whipped topping, very thin and isn't stabilized so it deflates quickly. On the other side is a Thai Tea flavored custard. Strong tea flavor, served cold like pudding. For some reason it's kind of chunky, as if they left it out exposed to air, creating a skin, then mixed the skin back in. Because of that, the texture isn't the best. They also smear some of the custard underneath the toast. This custard is the sole provider of Thai tea flavor. I don't believe there's any Thai tea added to the egg batter. The French Toast as a whole isn't too sweet which is good, but it's also pretty bland without the pudding. As a whole, I think this French Toast is just okay. There are too many major shortcuts taken to be a good representation of the dish. (2/5) M Cozy Fusion Cafe is one of those places I think is more for the instagrammers than for foodies. (This is really a 3.5 star review, I went down instead of up because of the blandness of many dishes). The vibes here are great and the staff were friendly. You wait in line for a table and then when they have a table for you (there isn't too many tables), you order at the counter and being a number to your table and then they bring the dishes out as they're ready. The coffees and matchas were amazing quality and delicious! The baguette and skillet was amazing, really the baguette was perfect, and not pictured but our table loved the shrimp garlic noodles. My husband also quite liked his takoyaki fries but there was no takoyaki, just Benito flakes, which was a disappointment (this is not their fault, it's my husbands for not reading thoroughly lol), but putting it out there for people who expecting octopus. The popcorn chicken was imcredibly bland which was a lame. The Thai tea French toast was bland as well. Two people at my table got ube pancakes and felt like it was just missing some depth of flavor. Amazing spot for an Asian fusion brunch. It can get busy on weekends (there's a waitlist) but service is quick, so at least you know your food will come soon after ordering. I do wish the ube flavor came out more, the matcha itself wasn't too milky wasn't too earthy, just right! M Cozy Fusion Cafe is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle! Beautiful decor inside, clean, and everything is just aesthetically pleasing! You can park on the street or in the garage parking across the street for free. It's one of those restaurants where you order at the cashier, get a table card number, and seat yourself wherever you'd like. They bring the food to you, and water and utensils are self serve. When you are finished eating, you can just leave the plates and utensils on the table. Menu items I've tried and enjoyed: Banh Mi Chao: SO GOOD. Huge portion so it's perfect for sharing with friends. They definitely don't skimp out on the amount of meat they give out and the banh mi is always crispy and nicely toasted. It comes with tomatoes, eggs, and Vietnamese ham as well. 10/10! Pandan Waffle with Fried Chicken: I'm not usually a big fan of pandan, but the pandan flavor in their waffles is very mild and not too overwhelming at all! It was the perfect balance for me! Great brunch spot!! Love the Asian fusion twist on the dishes. The coffee is a must try too! We came on Sunday and had a bit of a wait. We walked around the mall to pass the time so it wasn't so bad. I got the banh mi chao, and we shared the coffee flight and Thai tea French toast. Everything was delicious!! The coffee flight was yummy and a great way to taste a couple flavors! Sharing it was nice too since it would have been a little too much caffeine for me. The Thai tea French toast tasted good as well, but I wasn't blown away by it. The pandan waffles were extremely flavourful (I love that you can actually taste the Pandan). The chicken pieces were huge and I like that they added some fish sauce to it-- definitely a twist. The drinks were very good as well-- if you go to coffeeholic, it's basically like that. Quite spacious but it gets busy so it can be hard to get a seat since it's first come first serve. Revisited this spot a few days ago and had a snack. The Thai tea French toast was excellent and the strawberry matcha was good too. They are able to make some of their drinks with alternative milk but not all. The desserts mostly all have dairy. There's lots of lighting with windows on two sides. The server was also helpful with my questions and was able to sub out the bananas that normally come with it for another fruit which was kind. Definitely will be back! read more

Go early! We showed up around 1:15pm on a Saturday in March. Waitly as the waitlist. Parking is indeed a nightmare. I got lucky with street parking on the other side of the building but wow, that was tough. When we arrived, there were two groups (size 2 and 3) ahead of us (party of 2) - by the time it was our turn to order there were 5 groups of 2 people waiting (after us). Drinks: we ordered a coffeeholic dream (12oz) and a creme brulee egg coffee (16oz). As usual - coffeeholic dream was good. Crème brulee was real - they torched the top layer! Food: we ordered ube pancakes (2, not 4), the banh mi xiao, and the chicken and pandan waffles. I really liked how thick and fluffy the ube pancake was. The pandan waffle was slightly dry but the syrup and fried chicken helped make up for it. The fried chicken had a lot of fish sauce which gave it a more succulent savory flavour. Banh mi Chao was great. The only "annoying" part about this place is that you're doing random things self serve, like getting your own napkins, plates, and water. However, you can't self-serve cutlery (wat), so if they forget to give you cutlery you have to awkwardly pace near the counter to get their attention. One thing I did forget to ask about was peanuts, but I'm still alive so that's a data point. Ambience-wise, it's astronaut themed, and only one bathroom so lines form constantly. The prices are very reasonable but after tax and tip it came out to over $80 USD for the missus and I. That being said, we both left extremely full. This is one of the most interesting and fun menus I've seen yet! They have many food options that looked fantastic but I just ended up getting a drink. I got the crème brûlée egg coffee and if you're like me and love sugary coffee, then you will love this. It was super creamy and the crunch to the crème brûlée added a nice texture. I would say if you don't like your coffee sweet, I would get something else. The service on my coffee was quick, but my friend got the ube matcha and missed her order so consistency may be improved here. Though, as soon as she asked they made her order. The matcha here was amazing. I would come back here just for that. I've also heard the coffee flight is really good. There are very limited vegetarian options. The only savory option was the parmesan fries as a side, and they aren't very good. I wouldn't order them again. The ube pancakes were good as well. I'm not much of a sweet person, but the syrup ratio was a bit too little. It was harder to eat at the end because it became too dry. Another note, it is nice inside, but it can become way too sunny. It's direct sunlight in your face the whole time, so some shades could be nice. I would choose a seat a little further from the window next time. Will definitely be revisiting for the matcha. M Cozy Fusion is the sister brunch spot to the infamous Coffeeholic and is the place that got me addicted to black sesame coffee. I got the Dark Haze (Black Sesame) Latte and got to try the panda waffles with fried chicken. The first time I got the latte and had in restaurant it was some of the best coffee I had in a while, but the second time I found it a bit bitter. Nonetheless, the black sesame is still so good. The place is incredibly spacious and it does not get that crowded during the day. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table, so it definitely functions more like a restaurant than a cafe. The drinks are from the coffeeholics menu so you'll find some of the same drinks here which taste just as awesome. Fried Chicken & Pandan Waffles - So delicious! I was impressed by the chicken. It's seasoned well and juicy on the inside which I really appreciate. The Pandan waffle was also delicious and it pairs well with the savory taste of the chicken. Price is average for a brunch place so about $18-20 for a dish. Pricey normally but with Seattle costs it's about the same as any other cafe food. Xoi Man - This dish is sticky rice with some other things added to it. I'm normally used to it all scrambled up together in one dish but this was more deconstructed. Delicious still! Overall, a cafe that serves good drinks and good food is worth it. There's plenty of seating and the interior is beautiful! Love the space. read more

FYI there's a self serve water station by the back wall. We decided to get the m cozy morning plate and banh mi chao to share. We also got their popular Vietnamese coffee and dark night latte. Overall, the food was delicious but a bit of a splurge. I thought the morning plate was very basic. Nothing worth to mention. Will not order again. The highlight of our meal was the bahn mi chao. The baguette tasted so good when eaten with the beef and dipped onto the sauce with pate and runny egg. This was by far one of our favorite dishes. Food is pretty decent and the only reason why I didn't give them a 5 star is because the "panda pancake" was not well mixed where I still tasted/saw chunks of dry flour. Popped in to finally give them a try after hearing about the drinks from my colleague. The shop is super cute, with space themes and minimalistic decor! The menu also has a few true food items, so if you're HUNGRY, there is surely something for you! My choice for the day, because I needed a pick-me-up, was the Coco-Ube Latte and it was amazing! It's as though you are drinking the creamiest ice cream, with the bonus of being poured over the GOOD ice. The order turnaround to service was super quick and friendly. I really enjoyed the different coffees I will say that the one with the egg in it was not my favorite, but I really enjoyed all the other ones and I would totally go back to do the coffee flight. It was super fun and the pancakes were also really good. my sister got breakfast as well and really enjoyed it. The inside of this café is one where you order up at the counter and then take a seat I wouldn't say that the seats were particularly cozy, but they do have Wi-Fi and we had to do a little bit of work while we were there. It was a little chilly inside. It's kind of a cold atmosphere but it looks clean and it's nice and they have a self service water station so I definitely felt welcomed to hang out anyway I would totally return and it would be a really fun place to bring a friend if they're in town visiting you because you can do shopping at university District, and also run over there to do some coffee flights read more

Very cute café tucked away across from U Village. If you can't find street parking, follow the instructions on their website to locate entrance to the parking garage in the same building. We tried the Thai Tea French Toast, Ube Pancakes, and Bahn Mi Chao. My partner commented it was one of the best French toasts he's had in a very long time. Lightly crispy, fluffy not dense slices of bread, with strawberries and blueberries (they forgot the bananas, and he didn't realize it until it was too late). Ube pancakes were slightly dense but better than some we've tried elsewhere in Seattle. The star of our meal was the Bahn Mi Chao. The baguette is very crispy and light, the steak bits were tender, the sauce amazing for dipping. The paté was a little too soft/runny for my liking. 10/10!!!!! Coffee flight is a must! Viet chicken and pandan waffle is a must! Garlic parm fries were very Parmesany which we loved. I would pass on the Thai tea French toast to be honest. I didn't love the flavor, it wasn't amazing and I've had better French toast. It was all bread with no flavor wig a side of Thai tea sauce on the side. Viet coffee was literally amazing. I've had better fish sauce chicken wings but this wasn't bad. The batter was a little thick. I love a good fishy fish sauce wing but this was on the lighter side. Can't wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. Service was okay here. You order first then they give you a number and you find a table. We weren't quite done eating yet but there was a big party that was waiting for us to be done to take over the entire booth area and they cleaned our table when I was still trying to finish my drink. Extra plates, water, cups, utensils were on the side table as self serve which you don't notice and they don't announce after you place your order so if it's your first time- they aren't very clear about that. read more
