Having nearly finished my current travel book, I was drawn in to this place and its fading sign. It felt like stepping back 30 years, to when bookstores were acts of love instead of design. The shelves are teeming with second-hand books, surrounded by piles yet to be organized. The books are often 1-2 quid a piece, and the owner is a joy to talk to about the books he has, the books he's read, and the books you are reading.
If you want a prominent shelf of the latest best-sellers, this is not the shop for you. If you want to wander slowly, letting your eyes explore, looking for lost treasure, then come here. read more
