Once you've reached the park, there's a short paved walking trail, with a fun little section where you can step across large stones where the water flows through. You can also go down on a gravelly area near the actual bank, where we saw some folks fishing and enjoying the day. There's a nice little gazebo with picnic table that overlooks the river, as well. Cute little area!

Went to Glick after a few weeks of rain, and it did not disappoint! Sure, this looks like forbidden…read morechocolate milk, but the absolute roar of the falling water, the height of the swollen river, and the sparkling foam atop the muddy waters were all worth seeing against the bluest sky we've seen in some time. There's a steep little path where you can walk down to a platform near the river and see the measurements for how high the water actually is. There's also some guard rails up top so you can get close to the dam and look down near some cute little benches and tables where you can enjoy your snacks. This is fun and peaceful little excursion you can do in as little as 10min or take your time enjoying.

You'll see O'Shaughnessy Dam, pumping tons of water from the Scioto River into the faucets of the fine people of Dublin and Columbus and surrounding Ohio areas. This is a really neat park. It's not a park-park, but more of a place with picnic benches and a big grassy area, where you can relax and enjoy the outdoors while looking and listening to the water fall in the dam. The ambient sound of the water is relaxing -- it's just so big and loud and repetitive. I could hang out and listen to it and stare at the water for hours. However, I only got to stay and listen to the water for a minute or two, because I had children with me. Children don't appreciate standing in one place and listening to water. What kids do appreciate is exploring, and so we set off to check out what else Glick Park & Overlook had to offer. If you feel like walking a bit, there's a dirt path that goes down to the base of the dam, which will give you an up-close look at the falling water. When we visited, there were two people fishing, so I'm thinking that this might be a good place to fish. There was also a sign that warns visitors that if they hear a siren, then they should GTFO and seek higher ground. So, like, maybe don't visit when the river is high? Or maybe just keep an ear out for a siren, just in case. The walk down to the base of the dam and back up again isn't too steep, but it could have some people huffing and puffing, so keep that in mind. The path was smooth and should be OK for strollers and wheelchairs. Parking was plentiful when we visited. There were lots of spaces, and the parking lot is conveniently located right by the picnic area.

Putting rocks to step on to keep out of water is not a good idea as there are a lot of seniors who visit this park and if you continue this habit you will probably be paying for some broken bones. who ever thought that was a good idea. This is a really nice park along the Scioto River. It is listed on both the Dublin and Columbus…read morePark websites, so there was initially a little bit of confusion, but we had success with following the Dublin one (Dublin lists it as Kiwanis Riverway Park at 6245 Riverside Dr, while the Columbus site has it as Riverway Kiwanis Park at 6345 Riverside Dr - the signage we found onsite matched the Dublin listing). The land is owned by Columbus, but the park is maintained by Dublin. To access the park, you pull into an area that also leads down into an office complex. There is a small parking area directly across from the marked trailhead. The trail itself is a combination of paved and boardwalk, although there are also some worn down dirt areas that get you closer to the river. If you enter through this signed trailhead area, you will find a fork in the road. The one to the right takes you on a paved walking trail that ends with a staircase that takes you back up to the street level. The fork to the left takes you towards the boardwalk area, which has a number of little streams and a nice little forested area. There is a ton of waterfowl and birds throughout, and a lot of interesting plants and trees to enjoy, as well. The noise of the animals and river helps provide a calming atmosphere, despite the proximity to the roads. This is well worth a visit!

You can walk, run or bike just watch out for the walnuts and wet leaves in the fall. Besides very well maintained pathways there's a lot of nature. For you bird lovers this is amazing place to watch birds. Bring the kids and the dogs! There's a log cabin which you can't get into but is fun to look at and read a little about it's history. There are several bridges over clean streams. Another fantastic local park for photographers from beginners to professionals to take some amazing pictures. Other people whom I encountered along the way were friendly and kind. It made for a lovely walk!

This is a pretty area with some great paved walking paths to wander around on. There are picnic…read moretables and a nice garden space near the parking lot, and you can follow the trail back from there into the woods. One section will take you past the historic Fleming cabin with an interpretative sign. There is a very nice newly replaced boardwalk/pier at the pond, which offers some seating and picnic tables, and lets you enjoy the view. The water is a bit low right now - I'm not sure if they have a way to manipulate the depth that was adjusted while the pier was being rebuilt, or if it just happens to be low right now. If you go all the way out to the bench area, you can still get a nice view of the filled up portion of the pond, however. Vernal pools also appear throughout the year. A nice place to take a walk or go for a jog!

The geese do run the place, but if you don't come near them (or their babies), they don't really care. The only real downside to this is all the poop they leave on the trail. People come here all the time to fish and hammock between the trees. Yesterday, I had a picnic with my friend there. The seating is perfect under the shade. It is super close to the road, so there's a lot of noise, but still a nice place to hang out. It's also next to Norwich and Britton, so you can play on the playgrounds when school's not in session.

This isn't about the park itself, it's about Tremont Pool, the public pool located by the park…read more I went with my friends almost everyday during the summer, everything was great, the prices were a bit extreme and it racked up quickly. However it soon proved to me that it's not even worth the money. The last time I went, I took my 6 year old little brother. Along with my older brother, his girlfriend and her daughter who was 2. A whole mess of things happened, and I was left with the children, which I was okay with, however problems happened with the 2 year old, and I had to get out, leaving my little brother in close eyes view, in the kiddie pool. I turn my back for 2 seconds and he's vanished. From what he said after, he was trying to swim out to our older brother, and started drowning. I saw this and immediately jumped in the 4ft of water, to save my little brother, mind you he was directly in front of 2 lifeguards, who weren't paying any attention what so ever. I did make a comment, a rude one, because this is their job. Yes leaving him unattended wasn't the responsible thing to do, but that is exactly what the lifeguards are there for. I took him out of the water, and got him relaxed, then walked over to tell my brother and his girlfriend what happened, also asking them to go grab the toy that some other family had stole from us, and in the corner of my eye I see the same lifeguards in the corner, laughing at me. This didn't bother me any, but it's the blatant disrespect this pool has shown, especially to a 6 year old. I reported this behavior, and the situation to the manager, who was also extremely careless. He was at least professional, and said he would talk to the lifeguards, but that truly isn't good enough. Being a lifeguard isn't just about spending all summer at the pool, you are there to try and save lives. We need to stop hiring disrespectful, incompetent teenagers.

Great park! Lots to do!…read more We visited this park one afternoon and it was a hot day! The playground structures are large and inviting. There are several different types of activities to do, including a scavenger hunt for little animals all over the play area. There are just a few entrances to the play area so you don't need to worry as much about little ones running off before you can catch them! There is even some shade nearby to spend a few minutes out of the sun on a hot day. The library next door has a bathroom, so you really don't need anything more!

A small but absolutely lovely preserve. Quite a bit of it is wooded, making it an especially nice…read morechoice for a hot, sunny day. The trail system is small within the park, and includes two approximately 1/2 mile trails, the Woodland Ridge Trail that stays in the forest, and the Pinegrove Trail, which takes you through more woods and some meadow-like sections. It also offers a wildlife blind to view a blind, with birds, turtles, and more wildlife to see. You can easily combine the two trails by crossing the bridge located over the ravine, which is an extremely popular location for pictures. Near the parking area is a nature center, which has a lovely garden out front. The staff is extremely friendly and will chat and provide information. On our most recent visit, we got a heads-up about a pair of active ospreys viewable from the Alum Creek Osprey Overlook just up the road, which can be hiked/biked from Hogback Ridge if you want to extend your hike/jog/ride. This is normally a very quiet preserve, but we found a big cycling event going on during our most recent visit that seemed to be running out of the park. We still found parking and everyone was very friendly - a couple of the cyclists made sure we knew about the ospreys. Great place to visit!
