The sad thing about this restaurant is that the food is not bad. I prefer their neighbors sandwiches more, but this place has lovely pastries, including a delicious carrot cake that I bought my boyfriend for his birthday, which we shared on their pretty patio. Unfortunately, they are rarely serving all of the foods they brag about selling and are frequently out of stock. Worst of all, though, all of the staff I have encountered are very rude. My boyfriend and I tried to order a meal there, but seeing there weren't many vegetarian options, decided against it, which made the waitress appear to scoff in disgust at us. Most mornings, when we are in Larkhall, we get vegetarian sandwiches from next door and then go to Ma Cuisine for a pastry and to enjoy their patio. Recently, we sat down without ordering a pastry first, and as I was getting up to order, a waitress came out and told us that we couldn't eat if we weren't going to buy something and that it was "very rude" of us to be there. I was surprised, because I know they recognize us and we always buy something, but I apologized and went inside to buy. I ran into the owner, and apologized to him for appearing rude, though I was taken aback. He argued with me and said that it was rude of us to sit in his restaurant with sandwiches from elsewhere, even when I explained we always buy a pastry. He got very agitated, and after the previous rudeness, I was fed up, so we just left. Will not be coming back. If he's really that offended by our "rudeness" then he can lose out on our business. read more
