Rachel Markus and Daniel Oakes treated us and our home with great respect and care. After meeting with them for the first time, we realized that they provided extra services compared to other realtors. They are almost a one-stop-shop: professional photography of the property, filming a promotional video, filming the virtual tour, staging the home (through their collaboration with an excellent interior designer), moving our furniture in/out of the home to set up the new staging, and of course, listing, promoting and selling the property. All of this is included in the price of the commission, which is completely reasonable compared to other agents. Our house sold quickly, and at an excellent price. We were surprised by how easy it was, but Rachel reassured us each step along the way and explained the process very clearly. She knew it was hard for us to leave our home, but also particularly difficult to sell a house during a pandemic (when everything is shut down, where do you take your family while house showings are going on?).  But she treated us with respect and supported us through the process. Her advice regarding each stage of the sales process was compassionate, helpful and precise - she knows what she's doing! Most importantly, the house sold promptly and we were very happy with the process. My family had a horrible experience with Tracy Arnett & her team. After we sold our parent's house,…read morewe went back to the property to pick up a few pieces of furniture and antique lighting fixtures that were still at the house. We had always intended to take the antique lighting with us since it had sentimental value. When we arrived, the house had been stripped of half of the lighting - electrical wires were tapped off and hanging out of the walls. The new owner had not taken possession of the house yet and we verified that the new owner had not taken these items. Other random antique items were also missing. I called Tracy's office in shock that someone would pillage the house while we were out of town. I called and emailed her several times and her Assistant was rude to us, telling us she didn't remember there even being lights in the house? I sent her photos of the missing items, but Tracy still did not return my calls or even admit items were missing. We never got a response from her so finally I had my lawyer deduct $2000 off of her commission fee. Tracy did not dispute the $2000 deduction, and she never called, apologized, or acknowledged this shocking incident. I was flabbergasted by her audacity and unprofessional conduct.
