The owner and his employees were super helpful, and willing to work with my severe lack of Italian (I try, but I butcher so I switch to English). We walked in, not really having anything in mind other than local wine. They showed us a couple different ones, we chose one and had them pair some salami and cheese for us. Grabbed some rolls, local beer, and even some local crackers. The entire experience was great. I would highly recommend this shop, if for nothing more than the experience and welcoming atmosphere. We felt welcomed everywhere in Bari, but no where more so than il Salumaio!! Thank you!
