Our 300 sq…read moreft front lawn was decimated by a grub infestation and a lawn disease in fall 2025 prompting our action. Called the office and Adam came out a couple of days later to inspect our lawn and give us a quote. After talking to a few other local vendors, we decided to go with FENIX and we are really pleased we did. Adam, Kimberley and Erica communicated really well and answered any question we had about the entire process. They provided us with a few turf samples as well as an extensive list of referral addresses we could use to inspect their craftsmanship and the quality of the installed turf product. When the day to start the project arrived, Dylan and the large crew arrived right on time as arranged and immediately got to work. They were very professional and skilled. They were able to complete the entire project in one day and cleaned up the "worksite" nicely. We are extremely happy with the entire process from start to finish and would use them again if needed and would highly recommend them if you were considering installing artificial turf for your landscaping project. Not only was the craftsmanship top notch, the value was exceptional as FENIX provided us with the lowest price of all the quotes we received.

We had a small lawn area in our backyard that would not grow grass. One part got very little sun…read moreand the other got too much. We decided to install artificial turf. A neighbor had recommended Fenix. About a year ago a representative came to our house to give an estimate. He brought samples and measured the area and was quite thorough in his explanation and recommendations. We decided on one of the products but had to hold off installation because we were having other work done in the backyard that could have damaged a new turf. Finally the yard was done almost a year later and we contacted Fenix. Their prices had gone up only 10 cents a square foot but they honored our original bid. Installation was scheduled a couple of weeks later. A week before the install we received an email with the site prep, warranty, care instructions, and other useful information. They offer a discount if you pay by cash or check. On installation day they arrived close to 8 a.m. and apologized for being late as it was foggy in Sacramento and dangerous driving. The crew immediately got to work, first capping off the irrigation that watered the former grass lawn and then digging out the dirt and roots. They uncovered a couple of drainage pipes that we weren't aware of and cleaned them out and reset them to be operational under the turf. They accidentally cut some irrigation pipes and quickly repaired them. Once the job was finished they cleaned up our backyard, even on the side of the yard they weren't working in. The new artificial turf looks wonderful. We highly recommend Fenix if you are considering artificial turf for your yard.

I wish that the other reviews were posted when I contracted with this group. You start with them getting a picture of a yard that never materializes. We were told how we would have mounds of dirt with boulders. We ended up with a little dirt added and rocks that I can pick up (no way you could say we have a sunken garden feel, no way) We were told to wait for "the big reveal" and got the big let down. So many things were done half-ass that it is hard to list all of them. Bottom line is that they installed lighting that was broken. I pointed it out and they removed it - not replacing it - so they essentially stole from me. Their communication is awful, I was constantly calling/emailing with updates about how what they promised didn't happen. Their ability to live up to their time lines is awful. Their excuses are plentiful and often. Their credibility to do what they promise is non-existent. Find another outfit.

From the start, Paul Helen (General Manager) empowered me with information every step of the way. I found him to be a very good communicator, giving me options, great ideas and feedback, and always explaining everything in a way that gave good rationale for his recommendations. He really helped me feel confident in my decision making, and was very patient with my many, many questions. Additionally, the project was developed in such a way that I paid at the end of each phase, and then only if I was completely satisfied. We had some rather severe Spring storms this year, yet Paul and his crew worked in the rain until they simply couldn't- they always showed up on time. I live in the Northgate Area of Modesto, and I've had many a neighbor come by to say how fabulous they think the upgrades are. I felt that the entire project was collaborative which I very much enjoyed and respected. Thank you.
