We're very familiar with the main library adjacent to the Clinton Township Civic Center, but we never explored the outdoor areas right around here. We began with a scenic walk around the grounds on a nicely paved path which has pretty wildflowers along with a tree lined pathway that winds around the perimeter of the grounds. On your walk, you'll see the very nice, fenced in dog park along with the popular winter sledding hill in the far back of the property. The Senior Center is adjacent to both the pathway and dog park so everything is well condensed whether you are walking the trail, taking your pet for exercise or enjoying winter on the sledding hill. By the way, when passing by the Senior Center, take a moment to look at the beautiful Senior Adult Life Center Garden Of Life. It's worth the few extra moments to take it all in. From pretty flowers to the vegetables where 80% are harvested for donation to local charities, it's a very nice area to pause and take it all in. In the front of the Civic Center is a war memorial dedicated to those brave men and women who fought for our freedom. You'll also find a memorial plaque dedicated to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attack. Next to these memorial tributes is a pretty stone walkway leading to a beautiful fountain with stone seats to sit and reflect if you so wish. With plenty of parking for the Civic Center offices, Senior Center and all of the activities, it's always easy to find a parking spot. One more thing to mention for the Civic Center building, the drop off ballot box is located right in front of the building for drive up easy access. There's also an area nearby the Civic Center with picnic tables closer to the front of the grounds where outdoor gatherings can take place along with a playground for the kiddos. There's a little lake with a pretty fountain where fishing is allowed as long as you catch and release. Areas dedicated to sports can also be found on the grounds near the Civic Center. From soccer fields for the younger groups to a full size field for adults, to pickle ball and baseball, this area has every age in mind when it comes to activities. If you choose a longer walk, this area also lets you connect to the Clinton Township Tomlinson Arboretum trail, which is another nice walking path across the road from the main library. So as you can see, there's plenty to do and see. I was pleasantly surprised as to all this area has to offer.

Remembering that I had no outstanding arrest warrants against me, I parked and went inside. After filling out my paperwork, I was ushered to the next room. An intake clerk looked over my papers and told me to go around the corner to the next room. Once there, I was assigned to a health professional station. I sat down at the station and spoke with the nurse. I explained my fears ... and then out of the blue - it happened! I got shot! I should have known to be more cautious, after seeing a cop in the parking lot! Soon, I had a bandaid over my injection site and the nurse reassured me that I was now fully vaccinated against Covid-19. Yes indeed, I endured the same routine just about a month prior. The health professionals and associated staff are doing a fantastic job, as they all pull together to get the residents of Macomb County vaccinated. The whole operation runs like a well-oiled machine.

It was such the opposite. We came in and the women at the front desk was so nice and gave my daughter a pencil for school. We filled out a short form and we were headed back to the nurses office. He started out by telling me what my daughter needed to have for school and said I had to watch a short video on said vaccines. It was like maybe 2-3 minutes. He then went over all the information, I signed the pad and he made sure all my information was complete and he headed off the printer to get my waiver. Honestly, nothing to be scared or worried about. I knew my facts but I know that sometimes us parents can be very overwhelmed. He was nice, he gave my kiddo stickers on the way out. I think the process took about a half hour. I'd say if that. I would not be worried about coming in again. Such a relief.

It's a distant suburb quite far from the downtown but it has some good pizza and good custard and some good ethnic stuff as well so it's a little bit of everything. It's a little bit Caucasian (not diverse enough), and has some racist attitudes I heard a few times, but I hear those in my own town of Clarence all too often too... Warren still has some different cultural flavor is going on here as well. Lots of great suburbs around Detroit with lots of different stuff with an old-time feel but also some lively modern stuff too. Generally nothing like Detroit itself, but it's all part of Detroit really if we're being honest rather than technically precise. Lacks a lot of the soul and character of Detroit but you're probably be a little bit safer walking around here at night. Unless the cops shoot you.

The officer came out (for something that minuscule) and was great. She was so caring and helpful, I felt really bad once we got ahold of the guy for calling them and arranged a time for pickup but she was more than understanding. She allowed me to use her phone and call my brother, and informed me that if I did not receive my phone to call and they would come back out. She made me feel safe if I ever had a serious problem and needed them there. Very impressed with STPD.

We lived at this address for decades. The home was one of the first sub-division homes built in Sterling Heights in 1959. I had to go to the City of Sterling Heights to record the deed and transfer of ownership with the Office of Assessing. I filled out the main form as best I could. I was stressed and fighting back emotions as I thought of the many times I would have gone to the City building here on Utica Road with mom. To my great delight and relief, I was promptly greeted by such a kind, professional and efficient worker. She assisted me with the completion of the form that I brought and the others that were required. She informed me of one additional document that I needed to provide the City to complete the process. She gave me a card and pointed out the email address to send the document to. Once home, I emailed her the document and within minutes she emailed me back that she received the document and the process was now complete. I really appreciated the efficiency that the City of Sterling Heights provided to help me complete an emotional situation.
