Staff is generally…read morefriendly; however, it seems they lack follow through on keeping the gym tidy and enforcing gym etiquette. This is a really busy gym, so I understand it can be challenging to keep up, but the majority of the members here don't rerack weights or wipe down equipment. Management needs to take this into consideration and either be more strict about enforcing rules or hire more people to stay on top of cleanliness on the gym floor. I've lost count of how many times I've had to rerack multiple 45s that were left by a person before me. Going anytime past 4pm will guarantee you encounter people working out in large groups and camping out on machines for 30 mins or more due to being there to socialize more than actually working out. There are constantly people rough housing and nearly bumping into you on the turf, weights scattered all over the floor, and men yelling obnoxiously and claiming multiple machines at once. It makes getting a quick work out in challenging, and really limits the times I feel comfortable going here. The only way to avoid behavior like this is to go really early in the morning or on weekends because the staff does nothing to address it. I've considered switching to a more expensive gym just for the sake of having a larger window of time to work out comfortably. Unfortunately, the entry level price point attracts inconsiderate patrons, so I wouldn't be opposed to a base price increase to weed out some of the more unserious people. Overall, the biggest downfall of this gym is the lack of enforcement because it truly has potential to be the best gym in town if something is done to manage some of the problematic behavior from patrons.

The Second and third time was a few dollars over and on the third month they've charged me 15 more dollars for the annual payment. I've been calling to cancel my membership on multiple occasions but my call wouldn't get answered. There was a nice employee that picked up my call and she told me how to cancel my membership online but by the time I wanted to do that it wouldn't accept my card for some unknown reason , so I called the next day and a different lady told me I would have to wait for the next billing day since I'm towards the next payment. Which is stupid because I don't want another month. I have only checked in to this gym twice (technically once since my first time was when I signed up) before anyone says anything I go to Chuze fitness due to the amount of access I have to equipment while crunch isn't as available when I am.

I won't lie, it was a little confusing at first, but she was incredibly attentive and helped guide me throughout the class, which made a huge difference. She made sure I felt comfortable and corrected my form when needed without making it overwhelming. Also, her Britney Spears playlist? Everything. It honestly helped push me through the workout and made it way more fun. Lagree is no joke. It's tough, slow, and burns in all the right ways. It's such an effective workout that targets muscles you don't even realize you have. I walked out feeling accomplished and sore, in the best way. I explained that I had never visited In-Shape before, but she said there was nothing she could do about it. When I attempted to use a different email address, I encountered the same issue. To see how the gym looks feels etc. during these transitional times. I was greeted at the front desk by Marissa, who was so pleasant and helpful as I asked questions about how to reserve a class using the app, I was curious about a short tour of the facility, and I had very specific questions about the spinning classes that were offered. With an obvious bright smile under her mask, demonstrated by the joy in her eyes, she walked me around, introduced me to a spinning instructor, and had me feeling so relaxed, that I hung around for 20 minutes and attended the 9 AM cycling class! I have reserved my bike for Thursday 9 o'clock! It's very apparent they respect all of the Covid protocols... I personally, I am grateful, to In Shape, for being open at all during these very very difficult societal and financial times. When I joined they had a lot of different classes I took & I got hooked on PICKLEBALL!! Yes, the most popular upcoming sport. I've worked my way up to a semi competitive level thanks to instructors John & Korinne! And, I'm pretty much the only Black woman competing here regularly. Everyone has been exceptional, and I feel the love! I'm an athlete & competitor! What I don't like is owners don't listen to advisement on demand & switched up class schedules. They also took away some of our pickleball jamborees so it's hard to compete anymore fighting for ONLY 24 spots a week. It's about 60 players rotating in classes a week, that want to compete, but can't get in. We are not happy!!! Indoor/outdoor pickleball courts. Pool/BBQ area is beautiful lol.. u can literally have a function here on the low. Racketball/volleyball/indoor private practice areas The staff is nice & welcoming every time u enter. This facility is way bigger than other locations, with multiple floors/areas. I'm happy I found my hobby & I'm hoping the owners get it together on the pickleball DEMAND. We are PAYING ELEVATED MEMBERSHIP, give us what we want!

I was so Happy. Unfortunately they canceled it again. Now, I still can't continue exercising in their wonderful heated pool with the other great senior citizens that also attend the class.

The cycling class was enjoyable but my only downside was the comfort of the seats since I was a newbie I couldn't focus on the workout because my butt was literally numb from the pain of the seat lol, my classmates helped me by showing the seat pads i was still in pain but I tried to push through as much as I could . This review is LONG OVERDUE…read more I discovered SWEAT when I came home last year for a friend's wedding. Not wanting to slack on my exercise plans, I signed up for some spin classes here. The Real Ryder bikes were something else! I'd done plenty of spin classes before, but these bikes gave me a workout I hadn't felt before. The downside of no longer living in Stockton is not being a regular here, but when I'm home for the holidays or other occasions, I try to make a point of doing a class or two. I definitely recommend SWEAT! Check them out, sweat, and feel good about supporting local businesses in Stockton :)
