3.26.22 First I am going to say, I don't shop at Macy's often. When we walked in we were pleasantly surprised that they remodeled, added a Starbuck's, and put cash registers by the doors. That's a huge improvement. (Well so we thought) The registers are very close together so you are standing very close to the other customers who are paying) I am giving one star for the remodel; After that it was all down hill!!!!! --- I jumped in line to do a return. I had my receipt, tags were still on everything. So this should not take anytime, right....well wrong! The cashier (Dessie) was RUDE. I did not realize it was over 90 days from my purchase. (Duh, COVID) So she said she would have to change the prices on everything manually. ...ok. She called another cashier over for some unknown reason. I asked her if she could put it on a gift card/store credit, she replied, Yeah with an eye roll. During this time my daughter walks up and asked why they are taking so long and another lady walks up to the cashier right next to us. This woman was talking really loud to the cashier and my daughter just looks at her. This woman went OFF on my daughter. Asking her what she is looking at and telling my daughter she needs to mind her own business then asked me WHAT I was looking at. (Wrong move) My daughter told me that the only reason why she "looked" at that lady was because she was thinking is she having problems with Macy's like we are. This set the mood for our shopping in Macy's. Rude cashiers is not a way to get me want to spend my money here and we didn't. We left immediately. Macy's needs as many customers as they can get. I like to get Racy at Macy, but then who doesn't? So this is a crazy busy department store at Memorial City that is generally full of hot people, which is what I like about it. I like to come here because of this, not despite this, and although the store is overpriced and not as good as JCPenney and has awful politics, we still enjoy coming here for people watching and sometimes Bae will even find a good deal on something. read more

I was promised 20% off my same-day purchase if I applied for a Macy's credit card. I did and was approved, but my purchase could not be processed for some mysterious reason. I ended up paying with my debit card and then being told that Macy's would not be honoring the 20% discount because I didn't pay with my Macy's card - which I tried to but couldn't do because of a problem with THEIR system! I have tried repeatedly over the phone to get them to live up to their commitment to me as a new Macy's credit card customer, but to no avail. This review is for the Women's Plus size apparel. I went in looking for a Calvin Klein business suit and I was told there was plus size clothing scattered all over women's section. I asked where was Plus size area and was told the same scattered all over 2nd floor. I was very disappointed. I started walking down women's clothes in the 2nd floor and finally saw the sign where plus size clothing was located. I found the Calvin Klein suit pieces I was looking for but the area was very sloppy so it was difficult looking for what I needed. Furthermore, their inventory was pretty low for a plain classic suit. I went ahead and took a look through the section and was just plain dissatisfied with the variety of plus size apparel available. The following day I went to Dillard's in the Galleria and wow! What a difference! I asked where I could find plus size apparel and was immediately directed to 3rd floor. Then I asked for suit section and was shown what was available. The store didn't have a lot classic suits in stock there but they told me they could order for me or see if other stores had items. The clerk was super helpful and understood exactly that I needed a dark suit versus the light suits they had available there. I was also directed to the dress section, which had very nice conservative Calvin Klein dresses and the clerk was super helpful giving me her opinion when asked. Unlike Macy's. Shopping at this Macy's is like shopping at Walmart versus Central Market. read more

As long as it says "shipped" (regardless of if you receive your package or not) you will get charged. They are unwilling to help even though we have video footage showing the incident. Finally, a Macys that is not cluttered, and is organized, and is spacious. I just left Penney's, and it is a relief to be in here. There is a wide selection of cosmetics and clothing, with sizes available in my size that fit (I am tall). Plus, Godiva! Seriously, prices may be slightly higher than other chains, but I can get in, find what I need on the appropriate rack, and then have time to shop elsewhere. Unfortunately this Macy's is the worst I ever encountered. Awhile I asked for help at the cologne counter, another customer came and the associate simply without excusing herself, just left to assist the customer that came after me. Horrible customer service! I left the department without even checking if I got the right bottles of cologne. Of course when I got home one of the cologne bottles that I bought was the wrong scent/ item. The associates there make you feel that they are doing you a favorite for being there to assist you. The children's dept at Macys and Dillard s have about the same merchandise at the same price. **WEDDING REGISTRY experience** My fiancé & I attended two wedding registry events at Macy. Thanks to weddingwire.com. Macy staff were really friendly. The ladies were all sweethearts & gave us lots of tips. The first event was 'scan for a grand' we didn't win a grand, but won a $100..along with extra coupons! Macy will be mailing 25% off coupons to our mothers. The second event was 'sip & scan' there were light o'rderves & fruit punch. They gave out door entry prizes & goodie bags. I found a lot of things I would like to buy that was on sale. Too bad they don't honor the prices on the registry ! The one thing we did not like was majority of the items had the Macy's 'return label' After seeing so many returned labels, I felt that ppl just scan things to build up store credit with Macy. Since I'm a frugal person, a lot of these items can be found online from other businesses. Thank goodness they have a online universal registry. Where you can list all of your gifts from any business onto one site. I will definitely feel comfortable to share our registry there. Honestly, we came to this event to just for fun. My friends and I went into the mall and decided to stop by Macy's to see if they have some other perfumes that Sephora didn't carry. The main perfume counter with different brands had a sweet lady who talked me through some different scents. Same with employee at the Clinique and cheaper makeup section. In contrast, the woman at the Dior makeup counter was following us closely as we swatched different lipsticks with a stern look and with her arms crossed. Every move I made she followed. The women at the Jo Malone perfume counter were HORRIBLE. They greeted us with a disgusted look as if we interrupted their conversation- "Can I help you???" As if we did anything besides walk up. I purchased a mattress from Macy's in February 2022. The entire side of the mattress is now collapsed with springs sticking out of the mattress. They sent an inspector who told me the mattress is definitely faulty, but Macy's is not providing a replacement or doing anything about it because the tag was removed from the mattress. I hope they enjoyed the last money I will ever spend there. I was so excited to go to Macy's, I used to shop here often and have a Credit card here. I moved and all the Macy's in Austin suck so when I came to town that's the first place I went to shop for a wedding dress, shoes and some new clothes! THERE WAS NO WORKERS AROUND!!!!! We could not get help with shoes. No one was around to point me to a fitting room, the security guard at the door took me and walked me to the one that was open! Then I was trying to check out and we went to three check out counters and waited and no one was ever at any... One of my go-to Macy's. I've been coming here for years. They have friendly service and lots of good deals going on during holidays and weekends. It does get pretty crowded around those times. It had been a while since I had been back to Macy's and I'm glad to say it was worth the trip. I had been looking for some blazers and coats for work. I tried a few places that left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I had pretty low expectations coming to Macy's and was pleasantly surprised. Impressive Store - I haven't had much luck with the Macy's locations in my home state of Florida but I have to say this mammoth Memorial City Mall location blew me away. I am planning a trip across the pond next week and didn't have much luck finding what I was looking for at my local Macy's but that wasn't a problem here my only concern is did I bring a big enough suit case. This is a pretty nice shopping mall as shopping malls go, although this is not the type of place I like to spend my money in this was a pretty nice mall complete with its on indoor ice rink. The men's department is located on the second floor, the women's downstairs. The selection here was nothing short of amazing and the prices well you can't expect to have everything I guess, although as you'd expect at Macy's there were little red sales tags everywhere to make you feel a little better when you cash out but it appears the original retail prices are a little jacked up. Definitely worth a return trip. read more

This review is to the Chanel Makeup Station in Macy at Memorial City Mall. I came here to return some makeup that I had bought a couple of weeks ago. I stood next to the kiosk waiting for customer service to help. So as I was waiting, Connie (the salesperson) looked up and asked me what did I want? I said hi! I want to return some items. She said that she was busy with a customer and I said that is fine but the way she said it was smug. I started to have a confused look and said well, you asked me and I just replied. She said that obviously she is looking at me because she is talking to me. Uhh... ok. I understand that everyone is tired from Black Friday but there is no reason to be smug and giving an attitude to a customer. I seriously didn't understand. I was just waiting for her to be finished with her customer and didn't feel appreciated for her attitude. I like Macy's. I like the idea of the coupons and discounts, but checking out to pay always seems to be a hassle. Like there aren't enough cashiers or the lines or long or something. Also, not all of the staff is knowledgeable about where certain brands are and may lead you into the wrong direction. All I know is that if you're looking for an Alfani dress from the website, that Alfani is not mixed in with the other dresses; rather, it has it's own section toward the back of Macy's almost to the mall entrance. The shoe department seems to have order. Look for a sales associate holding a cell phone looking palm pilot situation. When you want to try on shoes, simply have them scan the barcode to check the shoe size availability and they will bring it to you. No longer are the times of standing there waiting for the shoe person to come from the back with loads of boxes of "other styles" in that size. So, good job Macy's: technology is improving our lives! If you're paying by Macy's charge card, your coupons will be there electronically. Pretty cool! read more

***Wedding Registry Review!*** Mrs. Lisa was FANTASTICCCCCC!!!! Like a dream! Like EVERYTHING!! I mean everything my fiancé and I wanted! She was helpful and really accommodated us! Asked us what we needed how she could help We went through the store and she checked on us periodically. When we had questions she was right there. She gave her opinion when needed. I just can't rave about her enough. She just knew when to do more and when to do less. I love that she makes herself available to anyone ordering on our registry to Email or text her so she can help them. Mrs. Lisa, really made the opportunity easy and flowy. I so thankful that during a stressful time she has been breathe of fresh air. I wouldn't have asked for a better person. She went over all the tips and benefits for using them. I came here tonight to return some make-up and ended up walking out with more make-up. After returning my unwanted makeup, stopped by the Bobbi Brown counter. I was looking for a nude lipstick and ended up with so much more. CiCi approached me immediately and asked if I needed help. I told her what I was looking for and immediately began to look for my perfect shade of nude. She was very helpful and wonderful at what she does. She matched me with the perfect foundation, powder and blush as well. One can say I fell for it, but we girls know good make-up is hard to pass up. She was focused on me and asked my opinion and face me suggestions on how to apply my makeup and how to coordinate make-up colors. A professional all the way. I like this Macy's quite a bit, it's got a very good layout. It is a nice upscale anchor store for this weird Mall. You walk in from the covered parking (nice!) and right away you hit the accessories--namely, purses. It's always fun to look through the latest offerings and see if they have anything on clearance. Shoes, shoes, and more shoes. I pass by and can take a gander at what's out just walking by on my way to the Apple Store, which is cool, but I find Nordstrom has a better selection of sizes. As you walk through, it's the classic department store cosmetic/skin care/beauty alley. It's just a good feeling to browse through all the different products. The saleswomen at this store are helpful but not pushy. There's a fine balance. I tend to go for Lancome and Elizabeth Arden myself. I've just had consistently good results with their entire product line. I might be able to get their products online, but for some things I enjoy the full service experience. Take Lancome, for example. I was using Magnifique before the product placement in Zombieland. I'm annoyed at all the posers who use beauty products simply because they make an appearance in a movie about the upcoming zombie apocalypse. At first I thought it was funny that my fragrance was mentioned by an a$$-kicking zombie-killer, but then I realized that people may be tempted to lump me in with those losers who ran out and bought it after seeing the movie and falling in love with Woody Harrelson's character.
