Gal I and pork belly bbq
    Mark M.

We opted for bbq grill. Combination meals sounded great but seemed too much for my 2 daughters and me. We opted for galbi and pork belly. Volume of food with the sides was just right for us . Staff was helpful as we are fairly new to Korean bbq. The non- bbq menu looked pretty enticing - would come again

Don't order for delivery! I ordered the soondubu and their ordering system is wrong. I ordered the soondubu with regular spice, but when I got my delivery it had no spice and the receipt they printed on their side also says no spice when the Korean next to it "보통매운맛" translates to regular spicy. I double checked my order details and I did order regular. They have a major error with their system. Be wary if you order delivery. This happened on Uber Eats, but it could also be an issue with other delivery platforms that they are on.

Love, love, love!! The place wasn't hard at all to find. GPS took us right there and parking wasn't bad, either. The parking lot was pretty big. We got in on a Saturday evening and got seated right away. It did look pretty packed after we got in. They had a variety on their menu whether it be drinks, apps, entrees, or combos. We did the combo C and got plenty of food. It came with Galbi, brisket, bulgogi, pork belly, and pork marinated in spicy sauce. It was very well worth it! It came with the sides, eggs, and cheesy corn. We chose to do the bbq when we came here so when we ordered our combo, we knew we were going to grill it ourselves (which we enjoy doing). I think if you can't, they will help you grill your food. I really have no complaints about anything we had at all. Everything was so delicious. The Galbi and bulgogi was seasoned perfectly. I'm honestly not big on pork, but I'm glad I tried it. The spicy pork (Jeyuk-gui) was seasoned so good. I liked it a lot. The cheesy corn and Galbi were my favorites. The soup was also very yummy. In all, I had a pretty good experience and will definitely be back! Thanks!

Ordered the Korean BBQ Combination C, really enough for three people although just two of us. There was meat left over, which my son cooked and took home for lunch the next day. Comes with Bon Chon, three bowls of rice, soup and salad. You will not leave hungry. Very attentive service. Also order the Seafood Pancake, which is highly recommended. We enjoyed everything that came with the combo. We will be back again. Nice to know we have this gem of a restaurant right here in Nolensville.

Everything here was amazing! Our waitress was so kind and knowledgeable of the menu! She gave us all kinds of pointers which we loved! The food was absolutely delicious and you get your moneys worth. Also love the atmosphere, very inviting and good for all size parties! Do check them out! Also love that even for a "BBQ" spot there are plenty of vegetarian options available as well!

Loved it here! I visited about few months ago on a Saturday evening, and after we arrived, we were promptly seated upon arrival, opting for a regular table instead of one for Korean BBQ. After browsing the menu, our waiter provided some helpful suggestions that we went with. While waiting for our food, a woman, whom I assume was the owner, graciously offered us tastings of soju without any prompting or expectation. It seemed that she was genuinely just interested in us trying it so we did and loved it, so we decided to get a bottle of the grapefruit soju which had been our favorite. Our food arrived shortly after. I had the beef bulgogi, which was absolutely delicious, and my friends enjoyed their dishes just as much. The same woman later checked in to see how we were enjoying our meal, and we were happy to share how much we loved it. Her genuine appreciation made us feel valued as customers. I really liked it here and would definitely come back!

I found myself in Nolensville a couple hours before my hockey game. Rather than eating the same mediocre fast food, I decided to treat myself to something a bit more tasty. The problem here was I was feeling a little nostalgic, probably because I talked to my mom the day before. I wanted Korean food. Korea BBQ & Sushi is usually my go-to but I was already deep in the heart of Nolensville and I came across this place in my Google search. After reading a couple reviews, I decided to give it a shot. Here's the thing, I didn't go here for Korean BBQ. Like I said before, I talked to my mother the day before and I wanted one of the comfort Korean dishes. A soup or stew. I was pleasantly surprised on arrival and what's the saying about ethnic cuisine? You know it's good when the local ethnic people go there. I think the restaurant had 90% Korean patrons. My waitress was nice and patient. She checked on me often and refilled my dishes of banchan. I ended up picking the jjamppong 짬뽕 for my entree. In Korean restaurant fashion, jjamppong is served in a humongous bowl, big enough to take a bath in. Chock full of seafood, I was pleasantly surprised that it had chunks of blue crab in it too! A nice balance of spice in a briny seafood broth, it hit the spot in a way comfort food only can. The only mistake is now I have to go play ice hockey and I'm hoping I don't pay the price for it. As for the atmosphere, it's modern. You get traditional hole-in-the-wall Korean food in a relatively modernized setting (TVs, music, contemporary furniture) without all the tackiness. Even the staff were hip, young servers. The owner (or manager) was friendly too! I'll definitely go back again before my next hockey game!

I dined at Mad for Galbi on Saturday, May 4, 2024 at 7 pm. I had an excellent dining experience here. I've been to many Korean bbq restaurants, most are usually AYCE. But this is probably one of the few non-AYCE Korean bbq restaurants I would return more frequently. The food tasted delicious and the service was friendly and attentive. The restaurant looked new and clean, which is always a nice first impression when dining for the first time. For appetizers, I had creamy shrimp and seafood pancake. The shrimps were large and fried nicely and coated with just the perfect amount of cream sauce that didn't overwhelm the shrimp. The seafood pancake was probably the best seafood pancake I've tasted. Perfectly crisp and had a generous amount of seafood in it. For entrees, I ordered seafood soondobu and 2 meats for the grill: galbi and pork belly. The seafood tofu soup was also one of the best tasting tofu soups I had. The broth was aromatic and filled with all kinds of seafood. It was a nice comfort dish to eat with rice. The galbi tasted excellent - nicely marinated and I cooked it with a nice char. The pork belly also delivered. I liked the cheese corn and the steamed egg sides. As for the banchan sides, I thought there was a good variety and tasted adequate. Service was excellent. Super attentive and friendly. Our table must have asked to refill the banchan sides multiple times because they were very small portions, but our server delivered. Great service and great food deserves a 5-stars rating.

Took the extended family to celebrate a birthday. We reserved the barbecue table and did Korean BBQ combo B meal. Plenty of food for six and everything was delicious. Our server Max, was cheerful, helpful, and funny. Highly recommend!

Galibi grilling with cheese corn and steamed egg!

Finally got a chance to stop by and worth it! Staff is fantastic and Corey was awesome - great service and recommendations! Meats were a good quality and plenty! We ordered Galibi and Bulgogi to grill! Haven't had cheese corn before but's it's delicious and steamed egg with Korean BBQ is always great! All banchans were great but not a fan of their pasta salad...really wish they had a potato salad instead. Salad and lettuce was great BUT if they had radish or rice wraps that would fantastic. Have only send 1 middle TN Korean BBQ place with radish or rice wrappers. Good beverage selection - wish places carried several Korean beer options versus just one. Loved that they have good ventilation and very clean. Would recommend putting something fun on the TV screen. Watching people eating on screen or cooking meat in a kitchen is not really fun to watch while you're eating - you'll understand when you see it. All in all a great experience! Great food, service and atmosphere.

We were immediately greeted by a very welcoming staff. The restaurant was busy but we were able to be seated right away on a weekend at dinner. Our table service was kind, thoughtful, and was happy to explain things that were slightly different at this restaurant from other Korean BBQ we had visited in the past. Our appetizer, Kkanpung Chicken (a spicy chicken dish), was incredible and the portion was very generous. During the BBQ service we greatly enjoyed the robust offering of side dishes including salad, egg, kimchi, and corn. The bulgogi was delicious. We also loved the spicy pork. We will definitely be returning!

Amazing food and will definitely stop here again for more! Came here with my sister and friends for lunch and immediately was greeted with prompt service. Food was all delicious with great portions enough to share. They have both BBQ grill tables and non-grill tables. We opted for the non-grill, but will come back for the grill version as the place smelled good coming from the BBQ tables.

What a great place. The dishes brought before the meal were delicious. Not sure if we were supposed to use them as accompaniments or if they were a complimentary appetizer We devoured them. Our meals were delicious as well. We had Ramen soup and sesame wings. Wings had a breading thicker than desired but were fabulous with a delicious sauce.

From the food to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. The first thing that stood out was their small plate concept, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoy trying a variety of dishes instead of committing to just one entrée, and this concept is something I wish more restaurants would adopt. We ended up trying almost half the menu and loved nearly every dish. A huge shout-out to our server, Nestor. He welcomed us warmly, was cheerful throughout the evening, and his recommendations were spot on. He truly made the dinner even more enjoyable. We started with a couple of mocktails, and the Purple Haze was refreshing and delicious. Here are some of our favorites: MI Cucumber - Smashed cucumber with soy dressing, crunchy chili oil, and cilantro. Simple, refreshing, and packed with flavor. Plantain - Fried plantains topped with sriracha goat cheese, cilantro, and crunchy gremolata. The sriracha goat cheese paired perfectly with the sweet plantains. K-Pop Chicken - Korean sweet and spicy popcorn chicken with great flavor and a perfect balance of sweetness and heat. Dumplings - Homemade steamed dumplings with edamame, truffle, yuzu ponzu, and garlic confit. I really enjoyed the truffle flavor, though it may not be for everyone. Kimchi Bacon Risotto - Caramelized kimchi, applewood smoked bacon, tomato, and shrimp. One of the best dishes of the night--perfectly cooked with incredible flavor. Crispy Spicy Tuna - Spicy mayo tuna served over crispy rice. This was one of the highlights of the meal. The crispy rice was absolutely perfect. Cauliflower Taco - Crispy cauliflower with guacamole, creamy miso, and tsiran spice. The filling was flavorful, and the cauliflower was cooked perfectly. Lamb Chops - This was the only dish that felt average. The lamb was cooked well, but it was missing a bit of flavor. A little more seasoning, especially some salt, would have really elevated the dish. To finish the meal, we had the Banana Pudding with Vanilla Gelato, which was a delicious and satisfying way to end dinner. Overall, MI Kitchen completely exceeded our expectations. Amazing food, a fun small-plate concept, and outstanding service from Nestor made this a memorable experience. We'll definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu!

The spring roll was delicious too, full of flavor with just the right amount of spice. And the tacos... you cannot skip them. The beef tacos are incredible, and the cauliflower tacos are just as good. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. On top of the fantastic food, the service is always great--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Highly recommend!! Be sure to make a reservation!

I had been to a Bonchon chain in California before, so I thought this would be a safe bet. I entered the restaurant with low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive menu. They now offer more than three flavors of fried chicken, including regular crunch, soy garlic, spicy, yangnyeom, and Korean BBQ. Here's what we ordered: * Large Drumsticks ($27.99): Half soy garlic, half spicy * Japchae ($15.99) We were disappointed to find that the tteokbokki was out at 6 pm, so we opted for japchae instead. The noodles were chewy, but they were overly salty and had a distinctly teriyaki flavor, with the sesame oil barely noticeable. The pickled radish was equally disappointing; it was quite bland and lacked any tartness. The spicy wing sauce, which they claim is their spiciest, was surprisingly mild as well. The service was decent and mostly self-service. You place your order at the front and receive a number to bring to your table. The food is delivered to your table, and when you're done, you dispose of your own trash and stack the trays. Drinks and utensils are available by the cashier. Overall, Bonchon was just OK. The chicken was alright, nothing special. For TN, I'd give it a 4 stars. If we were in ATL, it's a 3 for me.

Went with a group of four…read more Ordered BBQ "A" combo which includes beef brisket, pork belly, beef and spicy pork bulgogi, and a bowl of hot stone bibimbap. The BBQ comes with pretty standard banchan (my favorites are the spicy pickled cucumbers and pickled daikon/carrot), 2 bowls of rice, and dipping sauces for each person in our group. The meat combos we ordered were good quality and the spicy bulgogi was so yummy. I will crave this bbq and will need to bring anybody and everybody who will enjoy this family style meal with me. 5 stars. The bibimbap was pretty standard, full of colorful veggies and a good portion of beef on top. I was a little disappointed that the rice never got crispy despite ordering it in a sizzling hot bowl. My favorite part about dolsap bibimbap is the crunch of the almost burnt rice, so if I hadn't been full from the bbq, I might have been slightly sad. I understand that's not how everybody prefers to eat this dish, though. The fun and flavor of the K BBQ as well as the attentive service earns this spot a 5 star in my book and we will be back again.

The server ladies all were so nice here. The beef tofu soup has sufficient amount of beef. The Jajangmyeon was decent. The Tteokbokki does not come with fish cake, decent. The fried Mandu is crispy.

Food In one word, exceptional! Was invited for lunch and we…read moretried the Bimbimbap, Cheesy Skillet, Hot Chicken, and Gochujang Chicken. There were no complaints and very few leftovers. Really appreciated how the Hot Chicken was pan seared and kept more of the traditional Korean spices. We did find out that the Spicy Pork Bulgogi is not available anymore , but remains on tee menu as sold out. Service Get there early! Waited in line for a while and also not much seating inside or out. We were lucky to grab one open table outside. You grab a number after ordering and they bring the food to you. Self serve drinks. Ambiance The interior is small and it can be difficult to find close parking. If you don't mind walking from the next parking lot over, then you're good. Would I go back? Absolutely! The food is just too good.

Redemption Tour -- Mostly Successful…read more Full disclosure: I got pretty sick after eating here in 2021 -- my spouse too -- and we swore off the place. To our credit, neither of us left a nasty review at the time; it happens in the restaurant business. But five years of watching them stay busy and still standing convinced me it was probably a one-off, so I gave Soy Bistro another shot. I ordered the Hot Chicken -- pan-seared, chargrilled chicken breast with Korean spices, served with house coleslaw and rice. The restaurant was clean, the service attentive, and a genuine highlight: self-serve beverages with large cups of ice-cold water, which I really appreciated. The coleslaw was crisp with a terrific dressing, and the rice was spot on. The chicken itself was a touch dry and could have really used a dipping sauce to pull it all together. At $15.50 -- closer to $20 after tax and tip, I wasn't wowed by the value on this particular dish. The cheesy skillets were flying out of the kitchen and looked amazing, clearly the crowd favorite for a reason. Next visit I haven't found my dish yet, but I have a pretty good idea where to look.
