Our tour director had arranged a special lunchtime visit for our group of 45-50. We could either order from their case of pizza, sandwiches, etc. and sit inside, or they were going to make us a special lasagna and seat us outside under their special tented area.
I joined Team Lasagna. We were served a good-sized portion of lasagna and bottles of wine and water. The servers were very friendly and attentive, bringing more water and wine. They even brought around seconds of lasagna if anyone wanted any. The lasagna was incredible. It was made with a béchamel sauce; it was so creamy and filled with so much flavor. I heard people enjoyed the pizza and sandwiches that were served indoors as well.
It was an amazing local experience off the beaten path.
