Both were amazing. Coming from the US, I have pretty high expectations for cheesecake and this cute little cafe does a great job. The cheesecake filling is sweet, tangy and creamy, and the cheesecake crust is crumbly and delicious. The coffee and tea here are also good, albeit nothing too special. The main show here is the cake! I think you really cannot go wrong with any type of cheesecake which you order here. The price is a definitely a bit high, but sometimes it is worth it to splurge a bit for a nice piece of cake ;) Definitely worth a visit!

They follow the "build your own" principle, which is nice since you get only what you like but also paying for every single item individually adds up. Generally prices are reasonable, the food is good but nothing too extraordinary, portion sizes are generous. They cakes are home made and did look delicious and juicy. Drinks come in bowls if desired, which is beautiful. Unfortunately most of the place is kinda dark because its located in the lower level.

Contactless card payment options or PayPal and the likes would be a great addition, the skinny jeans don't bulge too much if you only have to carry your phone+card with you; just a friendly suggestion. The coffee itself is about as good as coffee gets (just an inch away from perfect), no bitter tastes and skillfully brewed. You don't get this level of taste at many places, needless to say not at Starbucks or any of the other shitty places! If you're in the area, grab one for take away but don't bother sitting down with this crowd. Ironically, the guests and the staff at the Schanze outlet are very different (or they just don't feel so out of place like the chic Eppendorf clientele)
