I love this gallery! I used to visit it often when I lived in Arizona. I am the proud owner of one original painting by Diana and I have many of her prints. I have gifted prints to others and everyone else loves them too! I recently sent a cutting board and trivet set to a friend who used to live in Arizona when I lived there, as a souvenir of the good memories we shared there. She said that she cried when she got it because it was so beautiful, and such a sublime remembrance of the time we both spent in Arizona. I love Diana Madaras' work! We moved to Tucson only about six months ago, and I hadn't even heard of her. I immediately noticed her gorgeous paintings in lots of places people took me. The colors and shading are amazing, plus I love her subject matter (desertscapes and bright florals). The gallery is small, but so much art is displayed inside. Her prints are extremely affordable, and the originals aren't ridiculously priced. A must see in Tucson. read more

We find Diana Maderas's work exceptional. I am more than a "Sunday" artist myself, from my own experience and the training I have had, she can relate her view of the world and particularly the Southwest to the canvas in a beautiful way. Many years ago, I came across some of Diana's art displayed in the Tucson International Airport. It caught my eye and was excited when I finally had a chance to visit her gallery. Hubby and I were visiting Tucson for a wedding and a guest told us to stop by this gallery and I am so glad we did. Most of Diana Madaras's work is in watercolors and it does not disappoint one bit. If you are moved by the beauty of nature, then I highly recommend a stop in the Madaras Gallery. I've been a fan for over 10 years and her work is hanging in most of the rooms in my house. Unfortunately I don't live in Arizona any more so the drop-ins aren't possible. But recently my son mentioned that he'd seen a Univ of AZ diploma mounting at the gallery and hoped that he could have his diploma mounted the same way. So when the time came, I called the gallery and was fortunate to get Lauren on the phone. She went above and beyond to help me select the art and frame via texts and calls. She and Kathy were very attentive in planning the delivery to make sure it arrived to surprise my son while he was visiting. So happy to say that the finished product is beautiful! I had planned on visiting the Madaras Gallery many times but recently had friends in town who commented on the one Madaras print that I have in my home. I made a point to take them to the gallery after our hike in Sabino that day. I was sooo impressed! I had no intention of purchasing anything because I don't have any space for additional art work at the moment. I was so pleased to see so many beautiful gift items! I purchased a lovely glass cutting board with a beautiful 'cow', one of Diana's latest creations. My friends both selected some gift items and prints and will no doubt always think of their wonderful trip to Tucson and the gallery every time they look at them! I also fell in love with several giclee's that I will no doubt be back for eventually. We happened to be there on a Sunday (early afternoon), hot and dusty from the trail we had just hiked, and were delighted to be offered Mimosa's as we walked in the door! Art is beautiful! But has no soul and depth!... I was drawn to Diana's artwork after reading about her life. She seemed very down to earth, charitable, kind and caring. After a very negative experience I no longer feel the same. It's a shame but I will no longer support this local artist. read more

I've ordered artwork from Madaras Galleries for about 6 years now, and have always been very satisfied with the quality of the work, the ordering process and shipping of my orders. The online ordering site is excellent - is easy to navigate. And when I've placed telephone orders, the people on the other end of the line have been courteous, professional and upbeat. I absolutely love Diana's art! I read the review another customer posted about feeling that her art lacks "depth and soul". Personally, I don't care about "depth" and "soul" - whatever that even means. As with all art, all I care about is whether I like how it looks. It's in the eye of the beholder. And my beholder's eye likes Diana Madaras' work, especially the southwest and animal scenes. Many of her works also display her sense of humor, which I like a great deal.
