This Restaurant is Heck of Good! They sell mostly meat but there is serval Vegan options like Tostones, Tequenos and a plate that has Shrimp which all plates are good my favorite is the mini salshipapa

Stumbles across this hidden gem one day and ordered their empanadas to go. I went back today for a sit down meal and the food was amazing. The service was also really good as well. We tried the bandejas medellin which had a variety of meats as well as rice, beans, a plantain, and arepa. I definitely recommend this if you want to try a little bit of everything. We went on a friday during happy hour and tried a couple cocktails. Both were delicious. The decorations were really cute. We will definitely go back and i recommend this place of youre looking to try delicious columbian food

The experience was a mix. Good bakery. Criollas potatoes not fresh, maybe because was late at night. We took tamales and warmed at home. These tamales were sour, not fresh at all, even we asked for fresh tamales. Not intend to buy anymore tamales. Sweet "arepa" with cheese, there were two types of cheese, one little piece tasted good and the other one covering the whole arepa did not taste good. Server was not very happy as we did not leave a lot of tip. Because the bakery is good, we put 3 stars.

If I want a good burger this is the place I come to. I love the choriburger. My family and I love this place. I always get the same burger cause it's that good, but I've had bites of family members plates and everything is delicious. We've not only dined in but also ordered to go. Service is quick, waitresses will give recommendations if you need help deciding on anything. It can get busy but I've never had trouble getting a table.

Nice little area within restaurant to pick up treats to go

Score!!! Random drive and look over in a strip center and said.... Omgosh.. we have to stop!! Friends and family are or have been to Columbia and rave about everything ... especially the cuisine. Very nice, hip and welcoming interior... Friendly Staff, colorful menu and while we stuck to our Keto diet and missed out on the carb sides and sweet beautiful desserts.. everything we enjoyed was flavorful and memorable!

I've visited this place two times in person and ordered on Door Dash a few times as well. If you're looking for a quick nutritious lunch, this place has great lunch options.

I'm a HUGE fan of Colombian food but unfortunately this restaurant fell EXTREMELY short!! The Arepas were cold, didn't taste fresh and the cheese was bland. The Empanadas are the only reason for a 2 star rating, these were flavorful and at least hot. The bandeja paisa was ok, again, slightly warm, the Avocado was so hard you couldn't even cut it with a fork. This was disappointing!! Won't be back

Stopped by this morning the food was ok the arepa seemed a little dry to me? The empanadas de carne was good probably the best thing I had. The place is clean and trendy, and the staff was nice, but honestly I have had better Columbia food elsewhere.

I haven't had Columbian food in years. My last one was back in Tampa, FL (2016) and it wasn't a pleasant experience. So naturally I was hesitant to try this place. But I love food and I always give second and third chances to try out and I was beyond impressed . Their mojarra Fritas are to die for. Not only it was Fresh, the seasoning and the crispiness was just fabulouso and deliciouso. Also their spicy sauce thingy is like the cherry on top. I drank that bowl empty lol. My family who is from Middle East who also loves fish, loved this dish. This Mojarra fritas dish definitely brought some nostalgic memories back from my hometown in Middle East. We used to eat a lot of Fish Broast (aka deep fried fish) and this was just mind blowing. Also the waiter who helped us choose the dishes was such a sweet heart. He was very attentive and welcoming to my parents. He definitely took care of us while we were dining which made us even more excited to try their food. He also gave us some complimentary desserts a well!! We absolutely loved their hospitality and I will definitely come here again when I'm back in Texas. And I'm definitely ordering Mojarra Fritas for sure!!!

So many Colombians restaurants in the area and I was left slightly unimpressed with this one. This is my third time here, and the service is always so rude/stuck up. We've ordered the bandeja paisa, pechuga de pollo, chorizo burger, and the Medellín hotdog. I think the taste of the food is average. However I think the portions are big for what you pay for which is good!

It's unfortunate that Yelp doesn't let you leave a zero star review, because there is nothing…read more'gran' about Gran Colombia. Without a doubt, it is THE WORST Colombian restaurant in all of Houston and it hurts me to say this as a Colombian. I was excited to a support a different and new Colombian spot, Ive been to many of them in and around Houston, and made a reservation here many days beforehand to watch Colombia play in the World Cup. The day arrives of the big World Cup match, and my family and I are ready with our friends to have an amazing experience (that never happened) at Gran Colombia. Our entire party is there, and they had us standing at the door for 15 minutes, because they couldn't find the reservation that they had confirmed with us 3 days beforehand. After standing, they found a crappy area in the corner that didn't even fit all of us. They put down chairs around it, and we were seated. It's funny, they hype up this restaurant all over social media as the place to be to watch Colombia play in the World Cups, but that is false advertising. The restaurant is a bit small, and they clearly don't have the capacity or staff to manage an event like this. They have a few screens to watch the game, a bar, and a bakery. However, this place is mediocre. They had a packed house for sure, with only about 2 waitresses running the entire restaurant, it makes no sense. We were seated in our crappy spot, and it took them 30 minutes to give us a menu. Mind you, we had arrive 45 minutes before the game started in anticipation of a fun time that never happened. It took another 30 minutes before a waitress took our order, and yet ANOTHER 30 minutes before our mediocre food arrived. We watched the entire first half of the game, in our crappy corner, with no food or drink. We were definitely starving and thirsty. We ordered a Picada, empanadas, Maracuyá Margarita, Arepas, and a Colombian burger. It was all terrible.... The Picada came out cold, ideally it should be a platter with all types of meat, potatoes, Yuca and plantains. OH AND IT SHOULD COME OUT AT LEAST WARM. Nope...didn't happen The Super Picada was small, the meat came out cold, the arepita was hard, and it was just not worth the price. The empanadas and burger were decent, but nothing special, you can find something 10x better at another Colombian restaurant. Also, THEY NEVER BROUGHT OUT THE AREPAS WE ORDERED. My poor son was eating out of our mediocre Picada, because his arepas never arrived. The service was non-existent and just poor. It was also ridiculously hot inside the restaurant. We looked at the thermostat and they had it at 80 degrees. Wow, just wow. I wasn't sure if we were at 'Gran Colombia' or 'Gran Sauna'. They really have this restaurant packed with people excited to watch fútbol and have the thermostat at 80... Once they finally decided to bring the check, it was pricey and of course, they included gratuity that they did not deserve. Gran Colombia is bottom of the barrell. Houston has such delicious Colombian restaurants, with tons of them in the Katy areas. They are all above this poor establishment. This is not the spot to watch a game or spend your money. Nonexistent service with mediocre food that is not worth the price. No señor....

I absolutely love my experience at Las Caleñas. This is a family owned and operated restaurant…read more And the food is delicious. My lunch date recommended we eat here and i have no regrets. My meal was a great value and it was delicious. Pro tip: They have a fruity smoothie menu that you can't go wrong with. Staff: Super friendly & bilingual ( because I can't speak spanish) Parking: plenty of parking in front and side of the building.

BEWARE! this place tried to force us to give a tip by including it in the total for a "table of 5"…read moreeven though only 4 adults ordered food and 1 adult joined our table for a cup of coffee. They do not have anything that states this on any menus or on the walls or anywhere that discloses if there's a table of 5 there is a REQUIRED 10% tip. So I was shocked when the manager informed me that the rule was verbal and instead of allowing me to speak to the owner she claimed she could do nothing. The manager (older woman with glasses) insisted that it was a "verbal rule" which is why it's not documented on anything. That seems ILLEGAL. In addition, the service is BAD. If the service would've been good I might not even have noticed this extra change on my receipt. So sad that it seems they just want to take advantage of people. I suggest trying OTHER Colombian restaurants in the area. This one is NOT worth your money.
