I purchased a tripod head from Madelein DeWier for $7750 that was advertised as "tested" in "very good working condition" with "smooth counterbalance and drag controls." I used it on one job the day after purchase, where my team and myself noticed the counterbalance became very stiff and almost impossible to adjust. I notified the seller as quickly as possible, and took the head to a community-trusted repair shop. I got a repair quote back for nearly $1500, and forwarded the quote to Madelein within several hours. To date, Malelein has never directly messaged me back. Instead, she chose to communicate through a third party 9 days later. The message said she sold the tripod "in good faith" and "wasn't aware of any issue," saying "she is not willing to contribute to the repair costs." I had even offered to split the cost of repairs, even though it would only be restoring the tripod back to it's advertised condition. If you are doing business, beware of Madelein DeWier, Daniel MacLean, and Wired Entertainment Inc LLC. They have a twisted definition of good faith! read more

Madelein is the top of her line at what she does. Not only is the photoshoot a fun experience in itself, but the prints are just stunning. She has so much expertise in finding the perfect angle, doing different poses which look beautiful and natural, and editing/getting your gallery in a speedy manner. She is able to deal with wind or scorching heat (like we were dealing with on my photoshoot day) and make it look as if we were in an air conditioned, professional studio. She is a joy to shoot with and makes you feel super comfortable. If this is the first time getting professional photos done, I could not recommend Madelein more because she knows exactly how to make you look your most photogenic, candid self. I am so happy to have hired Madelein for my son's senior graduation pictures at Castaic Lake! Due to covid we did not have fun senior pictures taken before the sdhool year started so I wanted to splurge before graduation. Madelein was very approachable and got back to me quickly to plan the event specifics of where and when. Her prices were reasonable and the detail she put into her site and explanations of how to prepare were extremely helpful. My son is not the most keen to have his picture taken but Madelein was so friendly and full of energy that he couldn't help but have fun. The pictures she took came out fabulously and the prints were very affordable compared to photographers I've used in the past. She even went out of her way to have digital copies ready for me quickly so I could have announcements made prior to graduation. I was able to get them out just in the nick of time!
