Just before starting my day exploring Anderson, I got off I-69 at exit 226 (SR 9/109) and headed south to 64th Street where the county Visitors Center is located. The building and parking lot are well maintained and filled with brochures about the county and the entire state! They also have staff on hand to help you plan your adventures if you need them. They also have a special section for the county that has computer search capability. Lots of the information is free and I really like that they also have booklets/magazines that feature themes like antiques for someone who has specific types of places to visit. I wish they had some local artifacts like I've seen at other visitors centers. For instance, the one in Seymour promotes a lot of historical events and people who are from the area. It makes the place more appealing than just brochures. I also think they could have more promotional items for sale to help fund the visitors center. Even without those items, this is a great place to stop for information about what you can find in Madison County/Anderson. Review #3542 read more
