As an Easterner, I was expecting something a whole lot smaller and a whole lot less up-to-date out here in Montana. Boy, was I wrong and I'm so happy to be wrong! This is a huge building with so much space, so much glass and so many comfortable places to sit. I found a study carrel upstairs where I was able to plug in all of my electronics, connect to their fast and free wifi and get some emails done today. I was here for three or so hours and even managed to sneak in a quiet Zoom call without disturbing my fellow library patrons. Good security presence and a large parking lot. I'm impressed! Good things have happened since people need to read. It has become a meeting place for all. I have found plenty to keep me reading and when I need a book from another library they help me get it into West Yellowstone. You get a comfortable feeling when you in there. They currently have a lot of remodeling going on around the library. It's meant for MSU students to use and it's very limiting when it comes to public use but its still worth the visit. They have 4 floors and a basement and I think by far the 3rd floor is the best. They have an elevator to ease the movement around the floors too. Be cautious most of the buildings is being remodeled so alot of it is off limits unless you get help from staff

Very long borrowing periods (which is making it easier for me to get through the collected works of Stephen Crane), plenty of computers with a fairly speedy internet connection. MSU has a campus nestled in Bozeman surrounded by mountains. What is not to like? The buildings…read morefor the most part have a consistent design or look. There is plenty of grass and trees to add to the campus feel. Parking was relatively easy for a busy campus. I was surprise how busy the place felt. For the most part the campus is walkable and the stadium is not far away.
