Rest of the family was home cooking dinner so we were really just grabbing a beverage and an app to split. There was live music, had a very difficult time understanding what he was singing even though we knew the songs. Bartender was very chill and did a great job. Place was busy so reservations would be ideal rather than popping in. Second night the other half of my family came for dinner. We had an appetizer of buffalo cauliflower which was good. I enjoyed my shepherds pie, grandfather liked his fish & chips (which I seen a lot of people order the night before). My uncle had chicken wings while my cousin had chicken sandwich, both were pleased with their meals as well. I imagine there is a lot of traffic from the hotel in the same plaza. Parking can be very difficult later in the evening. One thing that aggravated me was the lack of care to keep a clean sidewalk free if ice and snow. I say this because my girlfriend is disabled and where the handicap parking spot is the ramp and the sidewalk leading to the main entrance was covered in snow. Not only that anyone who is elderly would have difficulties walking as well.

The open kitchen is fully visible from the bar. The staff were all very professional, and while we try to speak French as much as we can, their English was great, so communicating was easy. We started with a couple of beautiful cocktails, and a snack of celeriac chips with a dipping sauce. Wow! I'd never had that before, and was surprised at how good they were. Then we each got the table d'hote which is a special being run in conjunction with a bunch of other restaurants in town. There were two items for starter, main, and one dessert, so we got one of each. The starters were a duck tartare, and mozzarella di bufala with roasted squash. Both were delicious. Our mains were a pork belly with zucchini, petal salad, cranberry gastrique sauce, and homemade pappardelle Bolognaise of tomato and beef short ribs ragout. Also both superb. Dessert was pain perdue (French toast) but not like you're thinking. Excellent! I think we've found a new favorite here in town. Highest recommendation.

My wife's burger was burned. She discarded more than half of her meat as it was burned black. When the waitress came to pick her plate, she could see the black discarded meat but she said nothing, preferring to ignore the situation to make her life easier. Well, we will make her life a lot easier but not coming to this place anymore. A burger place that burns burgers is unacceptable- the cook could have easily decided to cook another meat patty, but chose to serve burned meat.

The young lady who was serving all the guests was very helpful. My friend and I got there in the evening so they must have only had one server, but she was helpful, patient, and spoke very good english (for someone who knows little French). I would say, in Saint-Sauveur, this is a MUST TRY!
