This is one business that Yelp has definitely steered me right! SO RIGHT! If you're a Hot Rod / Classic car owner, you must check this place out. Steve is very honest and all about FULL disclosure. Anyhow, I read the great reviews on here and decided to take my 1964 Chevy Chevelle. I told Steve my over heating problems. Steve listed all the issues with my car, starting from items that needed to be worked on right away to the item that needed the least amount of work. I decided to work on a majority of the items so I took my car in during the weekday and left it at the shop. There are only a few mechanics that will work on hot rods and classic cars. Although this shop may be slightly hard to find because of it's obscure location, the extra effort it takes to get there is worth it. I brought my car in to get an oil change and met the owner of the shop, Steve. He was really professional and allowed me to watch as he changed my oil and gave my car a once over. Although I don't know much about cars, I could tell that he was genuine about giving me car advice and he had great customer service. Will def be back! read more

Steve the owner is a car guy. His capabilities far exceed that I've ever encountered in the car world. So far I've had an oil changes, brake pads changed, CV axles changed, add on for my exhaust, and some other things. I've brought my old car, my current car, and my wife's car here. The service is always thorough, courteous, informative, and not pushy. He takes the time to explain anything I want to work on that day and anything else I want to do in the future Every time I go here, it's like a history lesson in cars. He works on any car that has ever been produced, from any era. I've seen him build a car up from a shell, rewire everything, and put in brand new everything. I've seen some cool stuff here. A historically designated car, modifying a drift car, Al capon car with suicide doors, trucks, SUVs, and things like I'm going to cut this and expand this so I can do this and add this and this will help the owner do this. I had no idea people could do that. It's really interesting to see old cars from the 1930's to now at his shop. I'll look around, not touch anything of course since it's not kind, and just learn so much about cars. It never occurred to me that seat belts were a more modern thing. And Steve would tell me the historical view of seat belts in cars and when they started, what types, things like that. It's hard enough to find someone you trust to work on your car, but Steve goes a step further and not only helps you install parts onto your car, he can literally modify and build your car into anything you want. If the parts don't exist, or your car can't fit them, he can make the parts and modify your car to use the parts safely. Definitely check this place out. read more

WHAT THE HELL?!?!! My 65 Chevelle was found on the side of the road with the doors being held on by a tow strap, Steve WRECKED MY CAR. He didn't do the work he said he did, and for almost six months tried to hide my car from me. He has still not been man enough to contact me. Never trust a single word this jackass says. If he says he is working on your car he is lying about it. This guy is the worst kind of person there is. The legal process has already been started, police reports have been taken and claims filed for the damages he caused to my car. I have taken my friends to drop off their car here multiple times. Over the last year or so. It finally came a day where my car decided to make all sorts of weird noises. I went to get an oil change and they told me I needed a new water pump and radiator fluid. I don't usually trust those places so I called Steve while I was waiting. I told him what happened and what it sounded like and he was able to give me an estimate of what it could be and what it would cost. He was really helpful and I went in the very next day at 9:30am. My car was done by 1:30pm. He even was an even nicer man and cleaned my head lights! Haha I felt like I was taken care of and not taken advantage of for not being well versed in cars and yes, for being a woman. Yesterday I took my 04 Dakota to Maganas Fabrication Shop. Steve had worked on my vehicle a couple of years ago when I had a problem with a wheel bearing and fixed it right up. This time when I went I needed new brakes, an oil change, a new air filter, and new spark plugs. I was expecting to have to leave it at the shop overnight. That ended up not being the case at all. Steve got on the phone right away and called in his order for the parts and the oil. He let me know it would be ready that evening for pick up around 730pm. Being the awesome guy that Steve is, he even stayed at the shop til 830 because that is the earliest that I could get there. When I arrived I noticed that my truck was clean as a whistle too. He let me know that he finished the job faster than expected and decided to clean it up. Not only was the cost of all of the work less than expected, but Steve still went above and beyond what I had paid for. I've been working with Steve at Magana's Fabrication for the last few months on my 62 Skylark. He's such a visionary. I had an idea for my Center console and he took it to another level. Installed a killer stereo system one of a kind. Worked and gave the car a great stance. The metal work in the trunk to cover up the batteries and fuel cell is Bad Ass. I had rubbing of the drive shaft so he had to cut out the tunnel and make it wider and taller so it would clear. The rear end was installed wrong by someone else, he had to remove it and correct the degree pitch. There's nothing this guy can't do. If you get a chance and need his skills he's very talented. Steve does great work. I've had him fix body, frame, and suspension on my 240z. He does good work at a reasonable price. He does get busy, but remember this guy is a one man shop!
