Not enormous pieces, but the ones that really make a place home - such as nests of tables, bathroom units etc. Prices seem fairly competitive with stores in Wimbledon/Kingston but without the hassle of having to find parking. The aftercare service is also good; the lady who runs it is very helpful and friendly and will offer advice if you like.

When I first saw…read morethis shop I fell in love with it, it has a small selection of antique furniture pieces and many mirrors. It was £95 for an oval shaped body length 1960's mirror. I had already pictured it in my room, when I had finally saved enough to get it I came to the shop, excited and armed with £100. To my surprise it was gone, I was disappointed and begun asking questions. When will you get more? Will you be getting anymore from that era? Do you have anything similar? The lady was more concerned in attending to her T.V set so she could watch countdown, fiddling with the antennae and basically ignoring my questions. She said she did not now, repeated answer to all my queries. The lady is of age so I can't blame her for just wanting to enjoy her show, in a weird way I guess she forms part of the charm of the store. I would go back, in fact I will come back, I am hoping an even better mirror will come along.

In a street that is clammed with rather old-fashioned styles and slightly up tight attitude, Howe is a breath of fresh air, they offer furniture and lighting traditionally handmade in England, as well as a range of lighting. Also they usually do events that are mostly related to what they have in store, but that non-the less are really interesting and educational. Weather its a lightning exhibit, where they show the most relevant pieces that have illuminated us for centuries, or as they did in November, they held an exhibit curated by the owner of the shop.
