If I could give Magic Carpet Tours 100 stars, I would. Our group of chefs came to Richmond for a collaboration event. The company we had a tour bus booked though cancelled on us at the last minute, so I called around and, THANK GOODNESS, Magic Carpet Tours was able to accommodate us. The owner, James Brown, was amazing right from the start. He quoted a very reasonable price and we go the bus booked that day! Then, on the day of our excursion, Mother Nature came to town with a deluge and our awesome plans of spending the day at an oyster farm were ruined. I called James right away and let him know that we were going to have to make some VERY last minute changes to the itinerary and he was so gracious and kind about the whole ordeal. We finally got a plan together and were on our way! Kel was our driver and he was equally amazing! Our itinerary was in flux the ENTIRE day, basically minute by minute, and Kel just went with the flow. He toured us around some historical areas in Richmond (ones he was able to access safely with that big bus) until it was time four our first stop. Kel was a very safe and cautious driver. While the group was at the stop, I decided to take a breather and stay on the bus. Kel and I had a great chat and I am happy to say I made a new friend with him! I have done dozens of these events all over the country and I can honestly say this was the best experience I have had with a shuttle/tour bus company.
