Rooms were small (at par for European standards) but updated. Our standard double room didn't have a fridge or a coffeemaker but that came with the price I guess. We had to transfer rooms a couple of times as the first one had a funky smell while the second one was smaller than the last. The final room we settled in (after plenty of walking around the hallways and floors) was the largest one but the windows with an indoor view (the bar/restaurant) didn't open. The roomy restroom had a heated floor which was perfect. Shampoo and body wash were served in sachets that looked edible.
Breakfast was included in this hotel and the spread was impressive. They had the European breakfast options like baked good served with butter and jam, coffee (automated espresso machine) & juice, savory items like bacon, sausage, cold cuts, eggs (boiled and scrambled), cereals (muesli) & dairy (yogurt), and fresh fruit & fruit preserves. They offered Norwegian delicacies as well, like the dark rye bread, brown cheese, smoked herring and shrimp salad.
Overall a nice experience here and I'd even consider this above par with other European accommodations. read more
