It's really a lot of fun! Housed within an inauspicious building, you've never really know it was inside, if you didn't know it was inside. Just look for the signs. But, once you find the location, and you go inside, it becomes a lot of fun. Though it is a fun place to visit, the one thing I will say about this museum is that you should really go on off hours. For example, when my wife and I just recently went there, we were basically the only people in the place. There was a family that walked through a little bit in front of us, but we never interacted with them. The reason I say this is because if there are a lot of people in this museum, as there can be, that is really going to block your flow, and your ability to have fun within each exhibit. Meaning, other people will interrupt you, or you may interrupt them. From this, you may feel like they're hurrying you out of the way, or you may feel like you are pushing them out of the way. Again, you should really try to go off hours if you truly wish to experience the overall fun this museum has to offer. Overall, if you're in New Orleans, and you have some time to kill, this is a fun place to go. You will get tons of great photographs of you and whomever you go with, and you will have a lot of fun in all the strangeness that goes on inside the walls of this space.

Looking around for this place, I went downstairs first. The first thing I noticed was the "NO REFUNDS" signage when I finally found this place. One staff member behind the counter. I paid for an Adult admission ticket ($28), however, they also offer Senior admission tickets ($26). Tickets are non refundable. I recommend visiting in a small group of 2-3. You'll need someone to take photos in a couple instances, as there are no iPhone stands available. The illusions and displays flow well. I walked from one room to another. There are instructions displayed at each illusion, so you know what you're supposed to do. I could see how the experience wouldn't have been enjoyable if there were more people here at the same time. There is the potential for bottlenecks. My favorite was the piano room. There's a piano on its side, sticking out of the wall. When you stand behind it, in the photo, it looks like you're upside down. It's definitely fun and educational for the kids.

Madame Kennedy was the perfect emcee (and also put on a wicked black light bubble show). Some acts were sexy and seductive. Some acts were acrobatic and martial arts based, as Madame Kennedy said, "I'm sure someone is missing their anime character somewhere." There were hula hoops, feathers, and grinders! One act was a woman who put a grinder against a metal plate on her belt and sparks flew everywhere! I also saw my first (as far as I can remember) burlesque by a transgender man. It was so much fun! We did the reserved tickets, so we got a table right up front. There isn't a bad seat in the house, but I really prefer being in the center of the action. Doors open at 6:30 for a 7 PM show, but ours was running late (we didn't mind). They have a basic bar with decent prices. They also do dance classes, varying show themes, comedy routines, and more. So you'll always be able to see something different.

This is a cool event space it looks a little rough, but the movie picture quality and the sound were really good. Very close to the sound of a regular larger theatre. It has chairs and couches pretty comfortable for about 50 people. If you can catch a little small movie here or a band or a play or art exhibit check out that theater we had a good time they have a full bar. They didn't have popcorn that night, but he says they usually do. They also rent the space out for events and parties or a concert that you want play for your friends.
