It is well placed, just past all the East Brunswick Restaurant area, and the tram stops right outside their door. There is plenty of great art on the walls to distract you during the process itself. It is cash only, so make sure you know how much you're potentially going to spend and bring the dollars accordingly.

No communication had been initiated by the shop to let us know and our day would have been wasted by going there.

Get onto Jaclyn - she did mine and she was great, she really listens to what you want. She's also an amazing artist. My tattoo was small and only set me back $100. I know that another friend got a tattoo at another place on Sydney road and it cost her to same amount even though it was even smaller than mine. They're a cool bunch of passionate tattoo artists, the place is really cool and set out really nicely. There's artwork hanging on the walls and everyone just seems real chill and happy with what they're doing. I love this place and if I ever get another tattoo, it'll be here.

I came here 2 years ago to get a pinup girl in my left arm and this year I've come back to the same artist to to my left arm. I'm really happy with the work and that the staff turnover isn't high at all. The problem with the joint is that the shop they've occupied acts as a regular crash barrier for speeding traffic entering Lygon Street from Holmes. On several occasions, cars have missed the bend and ended up through the front window of the place. But hey, you're getting tattooed right? Live on the edge why don't ya. Outside of the hazardous locale, it's a relief to find a non-biker tattoo shop in an area which is canvassed with heavier style shops. These folk are mellow, helpful and approachable and are happy to work from flash art or to customise your ink. And there's a bottle shop at the slightly horrendous pub over the road, so you can wet your whistle when your done. It also looks like the council are investing a bit of money in fixing up the crash barriers, so there'll be no reason to fear for your life.

I was hesitant at first but agreed on the basis of being promised I'd get my tattoo done this week, in the next couple of days. So I paid the deposit. The day comes when I'm supposed to get my tattoo and I call up asking what time they wanted me to come in, and not only did they first have no Idea what I was talking about, they then tell me that the drawing is not finished yet and they wouldn't have time to do the tattoo for me this week. So already pissed off at all the unprofessionalism and broken promises, I said fine then just don't worry about it, I'll come and get my deposit back and they said they can't give me my deposit because I paid for their time to do my drawing, so then I said fine, I'll just take the drawing you did for me and they said they can't give me the drawing because I'm not getting the tatt done at their place. So I ended up paying $50 for absolutely nothing other then broken promises over and over. I've had 3 tattoos done at this place in the past, (hence going back) last one was about 3 years ago. Not sure if managements changed but the staff that's there now have no clue what they are doing and I would definitely not trust them with a needle on my skin! Will definitely be taking this to consumer affairs. It's not about the $50 anymore, it's about how unprofessional this business is.

The toppings were undercooked on the other 2 pizzas. 0/4 pizzas were cooked to an acceptable level. These dudes are clever, however, and are differentiating themselves as an art gallery slash tattoo joint. It's just so crazy it might work. The latest addition to the place is Lara Slater, who, as it turns out, has been tattooing for 15 years now and specialises in custom work. She did her time in the states and you can check out her visual art on the walls. They have revolving exhibitions in the place and as far as tattoo shops go, this one is super inviting and colourful. It's the kind of place you can browse without feeling weird or pressured in any way, and there ain't many tattoo joints on Sydney Road, so it's a welcome addition to the flash and existing colour of the area.
