Owner who says has been in business for 40 years needs to learn some phone and people skills . Have used them for 3 or more years now for bouncy houses with no problems until this year. Was told when this booked that the bouncy house would be picked up the next day which was a Sunday , perfect because I don't want that behemoth sitting on my lawn for longer than 24 hours ! So when I didn't hear from them on Sunday I called and they told me it would be first thing Monday....ok ...not really acceptable but I understand. Now they are 2.5 miles away so when I called at 9:00 am Monday and the owner said they are on the way I say great . I did a couple of errands and came home around 10:15 to find their equipment still on my lawn . I called back and talked to the same "rude " so called 40 year in business owner to ask why it wasn't picked up yet and he went off on a tangent about this being the busiest weekend and 200 other customers and no help , and then went on and asked me if I was one of "those guys " who sat around and watched my lawn all day ! WTF ? Who does this guy think he is ? So .....I had to do a face to face with this arrogant so called business owner . Sure enough....just what I thought....jumped up in my face and proceeded to tell me I'ma "Kenny" .....ya know a male "Karen"....not once but at least five times ! He is a lucky man.... I would not recommend doing business with this man unless you get a written contract for drop off and pick up times . Very unprofessional. read more

Personally I would work on customer service skills with whoever takes the phone calls. I had called and booked a bouncy house mid may for may 21st. While on the phone when booking we confirmed it was may 21st numerous times and at the end of the call the man even said " see you May 21st" I was never told to go check an email that was sent to me to confirm the info was entered correctly on your end. I figured seeing I was spending close to 400 dollars for a bouncy house for one day, that I was all set. It wasn't until the night before that I noticed I never got a confirmation email or call like I was told I would. That's what prompted me to get look for an email sent when booking and noticed it was scheduled for June 4th. So I called first thing in the morning to get this solved assuming the person that took my call accidentally entered that date wrong. The lady that answered was rude and took no accountability for anything. She sat there and pointed fingers at everyone else BUT the company's error. Repeating " how did you not catch this sooner" " this is why you should have checked the email." Listen I got that email WHILE on the phone booking, as the man I spoke to repeated multiple Times it was for may 21st and even repeated to say " see you may 21st" at the end of the call. Whether who thinks who is wrong in this situation, as a business I would have personally answered that phone and said " sorry about this confusion, let's see what we can do to fix it" instead of this lady sitting there question the customer (myself) on how WE didn't catch this error sooner. If someone is spending 350+ on my business I would just try and make it right. We have rented from you guys for quite a few years so it was extremely disappointed to be treated like garbage. The fact that then the woman said we would received the bouncy house after the party would have started? and then when they received a call from another family member of mine because I was extremely overwhelmed with how you were handling the situation, you continued to give them a hard time and when they got upset you proceeded to say you guys did not want to deliver to us anymore. Extremely unprofessional. This all could have been avoided with some better costumer service from the beginning. And we still have yet to receive an apology for this. read more

I would HIGHLY recommend magic world! Walter's daughter clowned around so hard at my nieces first bday and it was amazing! She painted the kids faces, did a magic show, and made them balloon swords! She was so sweet, funny, and all around wonderful! Her father did many of my childhood bday parties growing up- a wonderful family! I can't wait to invite them to do another for my own son! Buyer Beware: Not all bounce houses are as advertised. I ordered a bounce house/water slide combo for my son's birthday party. It was supposed to have all the bells and whistles including a basketball hoop and punch pillars. It did not have punch pillars! I called the store and spoke to Walter. His response: "what do you want me to do about it?". I know it's a small thing and not the end of the world but companies should be responsible for what they are advertising and at least have the decency to admit mistakes. Have a little pride in what you do. We've ordered several times from Magic World, the delivery service is exceptional, but I'll definitely think twice next year. read more

STAY AWAY!! Horrible customer service and Walter Derosier was not nice! When inquired about a bounce house for our wedding at the 228 in Sterling, he was quick to respond and gave me a quote for delivery. I then responded with a few questions: Size of bounce house, if they provide their own cords, could it be broken down same day and if they were insured? It took him A WEEK to respond and he said they are unable to do same day set up and break downs and I was welcome to come pick it up and do it on my own. I responded with thank you, are you able to provide me with the other information and his response was "I'm sorry we no longer service Sterling." ARE YOU SERIOUS!? A company that has been in business for 6+ years ALL of a sudden doesn't service one area... however they DO service Leominster & Fitchburg which are further than Sterling. I am just really surprised that by asking a few questions would cause them to no longer want my business. Guess there are other companies that are more deserving of peoples businesses, I'd looks elsewhere if I were you! 6/15 Note his response below. He NEVER told me ANY of this. Until I got upset. His initial response was ".. no longer servicing Sterling." But again services Leominster, Fitchburg which are further. Best this transaction didn't work for either of us. Casserole the Clown from Magic World was excellent. She far exceeded our expectations and had a group 5 year olds entertained at a birthday party. She did face painting, a magic show and balloon twisting. The kids absolutely loved her and I would highly recommend booking her. read more

We had a Kidabra party with Mr. Magic at Magic World for my son's 5th birthday party and it was incredible! It completely exceeded my expectations and was far and above the best kid's birthday party I've ever attended. My son didn't stop smiling and all of the kids and parents had a blast! I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with Magic World both for bounce house rentals and most recently a Kidabra Birthday Party for our daughter. First of all- this is a family run business and you can just feel the love they put into it. Mr and Mrs Magic work together to bring a fantastic birthday party to life! It was honestly way better than I imagined and we're still talking about it! Mr Magic had all the kids (almost 25 of them!) engaged, participating, laughing and just having an overall great time. All of the adults at the party had a blast too, so many funny adult jokes that fit in with the show that were over the kids heads but had us laughing! The party rooms are so cute and comfortable, you feel right at home. It was nonstop fun for 2 whole hours and I would absolutely book a party with Magic World again in the future! PLEASE SPREAD AND SHARE THIS! We rented from these people the past two years. This year we paid extra to have them pick up the things that we had rented, while we were away that morning they came and picked it up and took home one of our 100ft extension cords. Supposedly it was by accident but it has now been a full week of calling and them promising they would "bring it today" and they still have not returned the cord. Today we called to remind them once again and they told us we could go out to their location and pick it up ourselves and that "he has better things to do than to bring back our extension cord" that THEY took. I rented from here once and was not given what was promised. The next year they were the only one who the bounce house my child wanted. so I thought everyone could have a bad day so tried them again. The bounce smelled it dirty and when I called to try to rectify the situation. I was talked down to and not helped at all I had to clean the bounce house myself. Not going Back. read more

My son's 6th birthday party was here and it was the best birthday party we have ever had for him. Flat rate for up to 25 kids, parents can stay, too, and it was equally entertaining for adults and kids. Honestly, a really, really good magic show! I don't usually spend the time to write reviews of any business or service, but felt that I had to relate my experience with this party rental company. I have used them on a few occasions over several years,renting party equipment and bounce houses for different children's events. The staff has always been very helpful and their prices are very reasonable for the products they provide. These reasons alone should be enough (and has been) for me to continue to use them and recommend them to anyone needing such products or services. However my last experience with them raised my opinion of them substantially. In this case I had rented a bounce house for a party I was having for my son. I went and picked up the bounce house at their location, and was assisted by the owner himself. He made sure that the house had all the necessary equipment with it and that it was all in working order before he loaded it into my truck. This was not that unusual as they have always been helpful with all my previous rental transactions with them. What did become unusual was what occurred on the day of the actual party. The unit set up easily, and the kids were having fun using the bounce house. As the party went on, my son mentioned to me that a seam at the front of the bounce house appeared to be failing. As the children continued to use the house, the seam began to open up, and eventually the bounce house was losing too much air to stay inflated. At this point it was already late on a Saturday afternoon, but I called Magic World and the owners wife answered the phone. I explained the situation, and she immediately put her husband on the line. After a quick explanation of the problem he asked for my address and informed me he would be right out! He arrived within 15 minutes, assessed the situation, and repaired the seam within 30 minutes right there!! This in itself was what I would consider going above and beyond what I would have expected and it got the bounce back in use for my son and his guests, but for my inconvenience he arranged to have the unit picked up by his crew the next day instead of me having to return it! The level of customer service, the desire to make sure their customers are satisfied with their rentals, and the professional courteous staff will have me using this business for years to come, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to rent the types of products that they provide. read more

I had Magic World assist me with my Granddaughters birthday party last week and it was the best thing I ever did. They delivered the tables, chairs and tent and set everything up for me so didn't have to worry about anything , but the food and guests. I also had a bouncy house that was the hit of the party. Everyone enjoyed it including the grown-ups. I was pleased with the service and would recommend them to anyone who is having a party.
