The home team section cheered and drummed and shot off confetti it was fantastic. On the first floor when you enter there are some rest rooms. On the second floor there is a bar. But very few people were drinking alcohol in the stands. The security staff wasn't able to help us find out seats but the hostess girls are all around and they are super helpful. It's not a new stadium and could use a coat of paint, but honestly who cares? The game was fun and the views were Etna made it even better!

The Russian ballet was playing here too, but sadly could not find a sitter! However, got to enjoy the outside views! Next time...going to Sicily sans kids! Built in 1890 this opera house provides a perfect example of typical Sicilian Baroque architecture and should not be missed.

Ordering the tickets online via get Your Guide we turned up in the Chiesa della Badia di Sant'Agata at 20:30 for a 1.5 hours hommage to Bellini. The setting is great, the musicians (2 violins, a viola & a cello) superb with, in addition 2 fantastic singers. A great experience for an evening out in Catania.

Ushers were helpful in finding my seat even with the language barrier. Take note there is no bar for a refreshment or glass of wine at intermission but do take the time to walk around and explore the theater.

Castle on the coast for you to tour. Spectacular views of the coastline…read more Located in Acicastello, which is a little town (near Catania) along the coast not far from where we live. This castle is perched up high on a cliff and for a small fee offers a chance for you to enter. Great photo ops! A steep staircase from the piazza will take you up to the top. Don't miss it!
