The technician did a great job on my nails. However, I did have to ask if the tools were clean/sanitized. Unfortunately, her English was poor, so I'm unsure if she understood what I was asking. As I did not see her open a sanitized pack of tools. I was visiting from out of town and looking to get a pedicure on a Sunday And they were open. I'm not familiar with the area but the place could be updated and I'm not sure if I would trust a salon that has carpet. It seems like the manager was walking around with Latex gloves on touching everything including her own hair after doing a clients pedicure with the same gloves on. And all the petty spot chairs they have these pillows which look nice for decor, but they seem like that would be dirty and full of germs. If all customers were touching them, she offered me one and to place a towel over it. I wouldn't recommend or return in the future. read more

Came in here for just a basic pedicure and had a great experience! Was seated in a massage chair immediately, with the nail technician quick to follow. They had a smaller assortment of colors, but I picked the exact color I wanted! Everyone working there was extremely friendly. They didn't have any TVs on, but they had nice music playing. Very, very, very upset with this place and the person that gave me my pedi today. She totally destroyed my experience here today. I've only been here a few times and normally have had great experiences. The lady that did my nails today, not sure if she's new, she has short black hair and glasses and younger than the main one who is always here(which the main one has been awesome in the past) At first she seemed friendly. As she was cleaning up my toe nails she said my big toe was infected and that she was gonna fix it for me. She put cotton and some sort of solution on it and said it needed to sit for a while. Meanwhile she did not proceed onto my next foot, she left it and went over to the lady next to me to take care of her gel manicure. This made me extremely upset, I was not planning on spending all day here for her to make this excuse and let me sit here with my foot soaking as she did someone else's nails. She then finally came back after about 20 minutes and proceeded with my pedi. Let me just say WORST massage I've ever had, idk if I could even call it that. Half the reason I come and get my nails done is for the leg/foot massage itself. Such a disappointing experience, and so sad that I will not be coming back here because of this lady that had no common courtesy towards me and sucked at her job. I usually always tip but I was so furious, she did not deserve it in any way. I hope this makes her realize in order to deserve a tip u must earn it. This nail salon quoted me 30$ for a gel manicure . I got a standard gel manicure only . When I paid there was a 3$ additional charge on my bill .When I asked why, Lisa stated it was because I still had some of my left over polish on so she was charging to take it off . That is very bad business tactics as I was never told there would be an additional charge when I asked the price . Never was I told once she sat down like hey our policy is we have to charge you since you have nail polish still on as she started to do the manicure . If she forgot when she gave me a price she should have said at that moment and would not have proceeded with the gel manicure . I have been doing gel manicures for years and I have never known anyone to charge to take off polish & it's always been included in a gel manicure . That's like saying I'm going to charger extra to file them . It's just a given . When I complained she did not take it off the bill but was told if I decide to become a regular customer then she won't charge me to take my prior polish off . I would not recommend this place at all . It's also very old and cluttered inside on top of the bad service . read more

LONG POST, but worth the read if you're considering this salon. I used to go to this salon to get my eyebrows waxed 2-3 times a month. I already have a nail lady I go to, but I decided last week to give Magical Nails a shot. TERRIBLE idea. I made an appointment at 4pm for a spa pedicure, I got there on time, and I wasn't seen until 4:20. The lady doing my pedicure came out with a foot tub full of luke warm water, telling me, not asking, that this would be okay for my pedicure. I let her know I booked a SPA pedicure, so I could sit in a massage chair, and relax. She told me that the foot tub is fine. I stopped asking for the spa chair & just allowed her to do my pedicure in that tub. I was also sitting in a desk chair.. my spa pedicure turned into sitting in a desk chair with my feet in a foot tub. She begins filing & I told her boss that I will NOT be paying for a spa pedicure if this is what I'm getting. She then told me $20, and I said okay because at the point I just needed my toes done (I was going on a trip the next day). She asked me what color? I didn't get to pick one out so I told her a color. She comes back with the color, and starts painting my nails... I was VERY confused because all she did was put my feet in water, file my toe nails & THAT WAS IT. She painted my nails & told me to wait 10 minutes for them to dry.. She was done by 4:34. I asked to talk to her boss once she finished. I told her (Lisa) that I was VERY disappointed in my experience here & that I will not be paying the $20 because she didn't do anything besides paint my nails & she die a horrible job. She didn't massage my legs or feet, she didn't put oil or lotion on feet/legs, she didn't clean my nail cuticles, etc. Lisa then said "okay she can fix your polish." I then let her know that I didn't want anything fixed, I wanted to leave and that I will not be paying $20 and I will not be coming back. She then told me "okay $10 because she painted your nails." My blood was boiling at this point, I had no energy left to argue. I gave her the $10 and left. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK HERE. Now I need to find a new place to get my eyebrows waxed because Lisa lost me as a customer now. read more

I know this place has some bad reviews, and I myself have even have a pretty short and just okay pedicure here before. But I just recently came back for a pedicure and I feel like they saw the bad reviews and specifically have tried to do better! My pedicure was a good 45 mins to a full hour long. She took her time shaping and cutting, and even went back and cut the nail more after noticing they could be shorter. She massaged my legs for a full 5 mins and even used a hot towel after! (Which usually can be more at other salons..) I think they are really trying to give a good experience and succeeding! Good place for pedicures in Huntington Beach :) read more

Finally the nail salons are open!! I needed a manicure and wax really bad. I called and they said to come in 30 minutes. Once I got there I was taken care of right away!! Everyone who works here are so sweet and nice, I've always felt so comfortable being here. They're so hard working and I respect them for that. I got my nails done by someone named Q and he was really great! You can tell they know what they're doing. I got my eyebrows waxed by Lisa like always. She makes sure I'm comfortable and always knows how to wax the perfect shape for my eyebrows. I'm so glad they're back open!! You should really give this place a try. I walked in to meet my GF at this place, and to my surprise she had paid for me to get a Pedicure. I was hesitant and said " no Thank you", but the staff was awesome and made it very comforting. The entire atmosphere was very welcoming with TV's and Massage chairs all over the saloon. A lady by the name of Lee was awesome to me. She started by saying "Don't worry, many guys come here for pedicures". She asked for me to take off my shoes and take a seat. She adjusted the seat and started the chair massage. I immediately felt relaxed. I then entered my feet into hot water and she got started. Just as I thought the pedicure was over, she started massaging my feet up to my knees. She then told me she was done and allowed me to stay in the massage chair until my GF got done with her nails. Overall the experience was like no other for me. Mrs. Lee was awesome and definitely made my experience a memorable one. She really took good care of me and my feet. The staff was just amazing and i can guarantee you, i will be back for more pedicures. I also have a bad habit of "accidently" breaking my GF's nails all the time, so we will definitely be back. read more

I had a coupon for $20 set of gel nails. I wanted to try this place out since it is by my house. When you first walk in, the interior is not that impressive. The chairs all had cracked leather and their tools were set in plastic Tupperware. They don't make it obvious that they clean everything in between each customer. When I was getting my nails done, I noticed that the gel they used was a little thinner than usual. The lady put on 3 coats, and said the usual, "pretty color." I had to keep looking at my nails because it was so poorly applied. The nail gel was thin in some areas, making it look uneven and unprofessional. I could've done a better job at home. The worst part is that the lady didn't even notice how terrible it looked. After asking her why it looked so shitty, she put another coat on. It still looks uneven, but not as bad. Long story short, it's not the best $20 I've spent. Most likely won't come back. read more
