We visited this store yesterday. My girlfriend wanted to purchase some fabric. The person working (this is an assumption since we were not greeted when we entered.) would not get off a cell phone call the entire 15+minutes we were in the store. This worker would not acknowledge my girlfriend as she waited at the counter. Would not recommend! read more

Every time I visit Breckenridge, I HAVE to visit Magical Scraps. They always have neat and cute finds- whether it's jewelry, trinkets, kids clothing, stickers, wallets, scarves, etc.- that you can't find anywhere else! Most of their items are hand made and many of them are made right in their shop. The employees are always kind and have always helped me find the perfect gifts to bring back to NY. Like Etsy in real life. Lots of super cute crafts and fabrics. I think it skews towards kids. Even the trees outside were wrapped in bright, happy fabric like giant wooden candy canes. This is a children's store with lots of cute things.. however, when I was checking out at the register a young girl came up to ask the older lady working if they had anything under $10. The older lady replied with "lots of things so tell me what you want because you're wasting my time!". I was disgusted. Who talks to a child like that at a children's boutique? read more

Fun, locally owned store with unique items. The store also does custom creations if you want something even more unique.

While this shop has some nice items, the owner is so extremely rude that I would never consider coming here again. The owner was completely irritated that we had ruined her day by showing up. Apparently, she doesn't need the business. I can shop in a million different places and not be treated so rude. In fact, the puppet my niece wanted can be purchased on line, so no need to shop here. The handmade head bands hurt her head so bad, we would never consider buying another. There is nothing special enough in this shop to warrant ruining the owners day by shopping here. Won't be back or recommend. I've noticed some other people that got similar treatment. We went down the street to another shop where the owner was amazing. We will shop there instead!! read more

This is a great little store on the main street in Breckenridge, and definitely worth a look-see; it's local, crammed with fun fun fun merchandise of all kinds and for all kinds of folks big and small; the fabrics are wonderful and you can purchase yardage as well as pre-made items. Prices are pretty reasonable! Midst all the coffee shops and restaurants and art galleries, "Magical Scraps" offers something a bit different! read more

I wish that I lived closer to this store...however Merle is probably glad that we don't. It is everything I love about small business. It is art and retail combined! They offer clothes that they add there 'Magical Scraps' too they are sweet and adorable. They had kids stuff, handmade jewelry, belts, bags, and other awesome goodies. The most magical part for me was they were creating things right there. The space was not just retail, but studio also! It made me a bit giddy! I found the most awesome wallet there, but felt super guilty that I didn't buy anything that was handmade there. I hope that the folks in Breckenridge knows how lucky they are to have such an awesome business in there town! Go there and buy their cool stuff! Magical Scraps is a great little shop right on Main Street full of hand-sewn items made right there in there in the store by the owner. They have all kinds of brightly-patterned scarves, hair ties, potholders, tote bags and other cute accessories plus jewelry, cards, and a full room of kids' stuff. There's also a fair amount of stuff that's not made in the store that you could probably find in other stores at lower prices, but the handmade stuff is unique, fun and reasonably priced. I love this place! I only wish I lived closer. In addition to lots of beautiful handmade items they have a very good selection of from other crafters and larger "crafty" manufacturers. This is a great go-to place for gifts or just a little treat for yourself. The fabric selection is a little on the slim side but high quality and eclectic. enjoy! read more

I have never been treated with such disrespect as I was by Mary Ann (owner). I purchased a $66 silver necklace along with $200 in other merchandise. When it tarnished and broke the first time I wore it I mailed it back, kindly requesting a refund. After a month with no response I called and spoke with Mary Ann. From the first moment she accused me of abusing it, burning it, lying, and trying to "dupe her". After discussion that felt like only accusations, she finally conceded to just refunding me her cost ($30). When I told her I would be writing a negative Yelp review her reply was "Well if that makes you feel better go ahead". No, it doesn't. I just want others to know what to expect if you purchase items from a place with unbelievably rude customer service. read more

Sweet little shop on the main street with fabrics and gifts. I found a fun colorful fabric here and used it as inspiration for a quilt.

Store is cute as well as the offerings. I gave it a 3-star because I was trying to ask the owner some questions about her items, and I felt like she could care less. Unlike all the other business owners who have been so friendly on Main St, this owner either was having a bad customer service day or this is just her personality. While I shopped, there was a beautiful little side area with benches and beautiful trees wrapped in the shop's fabrics where our kids made snowballs for a nice family snowball fight afterwards. read more

Adorable hand crafted military style hat, matching (or not if you are not matchy-matchy) dresses and skirts, plus the bonus of amazing inspirational female-centric art. I visited with my mother and two daughters and each of us instantly fell in love with everything about this well curated and local find, from the beautiful location with hollyhocks and other beautiful secret garden attributes outside, to the lovely young women working inside, to the mentioned handcrafted goods, to the bolts of brightly colored fabrics along a side wall, to the mentioned art that isn't locally crafted but is locally enjoyed and lovely. This store has the air of pure whimsy to it. Love it! We will be back next time we are in Breck. read more

I am very disappointed with Magical Scraps and will no longer give them my business going forward. I have been a Summit Local for 21 years and have spent thousands of dollars in this store over the years. Recently I spent $45 on 3 masks; I know it is a lot, but I loved their selection. Unfortunately, you can't try masks on in the store for the right fit (a mask over a mask for safety- Nope). I chose the Small because it is advertised that it fits the store owner and her 15 year old son. I was told by a sales clerk that a tremendous amount of people touch them and to launder them before use. Not only did they shrink tremendously, which they don't advertise, but the mask was so small that they bent my ears forward and wasn't tolerable. I called to ask if I could return them and they stated once you try them on, you can't return them. The person who answered the phone told me to give someone little my mask. Really?? I'm out $45 with no masks and extremely disappointed. read more
