Since I was paying $14 for shipping and handling, I added a few low-priced, light-weight items to the order. Much to my surprise, I received a box containing the light-weight items but the bottles of ear cleaner that I really needed weren't there. There was no mention anywhere of there being a backorder so I tried to check for information online. There was no way to check the order status since I hadn't opened an account. I called and left a detailed message asking about the missing items and shortly after that I received an email from someone named Amanda saying the following: "they were on back order and since the back order total was under $20.00 they were cancelled" I replied to Amanda with the following: "I really appreciate the quick reply but I don't understand. Why would you cancel part of the order without even advising me instead of just waiting and shipping everything I ordered together? If I place another order for the ear cleaner now, your website will charge me shipping again and that's not fair. Please either ship me the two bottles of ear cleaner that I ordered or credit me the full price of the shipping and handling and I will place the order again." Amanda immediately replied with the following: "Now in the e-mails we send for the confirmation of your order we do mention towards the bottom that any backordered items that are under $20.00 they cancelled and you are not charged for them. I do apologize but since they have been cancelled as mentioned we can't ship them out." It's a really bad business practice to charge someone $14 for the shipment of four light items and two heavy ones and then simply choose not to deliver the two heavier items, without even so much as notifying the client! I replied to Amanda pointing out that Ren's Pets could've made this right and gained a loyal customer for life. Instead they kept my $14 and hid behind the small print at the bottom of on an order confirmation...which is obviously emailed to the customer AFTER the order was confirmed. There is no shortage of online stores that actually fulfill their orders properly. Save your money and spend it on a company that delivers ALL of the products you ordered.

They helped me find the right food for my dog who was going through a nasty bout of digestive problems, and now he's back to great shape. He gets excited when we pull into the parking lot since he loves visiting the store (and it doesn't hurt that he always gets a new toy or treat after each visit). I even used their new self-bathing system and it worked great - no mess in my house to clean up afterwards. His itching stopped completely. I called them just a little over a week after his cut to express my concern and when I mentioned I may have to wash him myself, was told "Oh, don't do that." They called me recently about Christmas grooming "booking up fast", I mentioned my concerns again and asked that they be passed along. Still, no one called back. Which leaves me to believe that they really didn't care. And their prices have gone up quite a bit. I pay $65 everywhere and here my bill was $85. A neighbour said she was also surprised when her bill came to $100 for a dog just slightly bigger than mine. I won't be returning here.

I liked that the staff in the back (who would be doing the haircut) was the one directly talking to us to get exactly what we wanted. She asked us the right questions, and in great detail. My partner and I had concerns about our dog's nails and they were able to clip them (which gave our little one great relief!). When I came in for my cats appt- there was no hello or smile it was just " whos this". Even though there is a chart right in their hands of previous appts- I still get asked what would you like today. So I said the same as last time. After some more rudeness I had drop my cat off and came back an hour later. The girl at the front asked me what I was there for. I was shocked that just an hour before that I had dropped my cat off to her. And after I said I just dropped him off - more attitude. A customer had come in when I was sitting there waiting- and she again gave attitude to another customer. The customer said " hello how are you" and right away the recptionist said " who's this" very rudely. I would be going to another place but unfortunately there are not many places around that will cut cats. I don't want to make them look bad but this has been happening many times now and I feel that if you are dealing with the public- a simple hello and or a smile would be nice. Especially for the price I pay for my cats hair to be cut. The employees that actually work- in the back- are great and keep up the excellent work!
