My visit to the Magnolia Float Spa was intended to be a relaxing and a rejuvenating experience. I had invited a friend from out of town and was excited ! However, it turned out to be quite the opposite. The disappointment began immediately when we walked into the "tub room" (we both did not prefer the pods), I along with my friend who also reserved a tub room, were given the choice of two rooms. The first room, we were told, the shelving had been knocked off the wall so if we needed essentials, they were on the side of the tub. I noticed right away that the paint was chipped completely around the tub. I took a deep breath and thought "ok needed repairs , it's about the tub which was large and looked inviting with the blue light. The shower area was nicely designed in the room. The second room, we were told, "the tub light didn't work", so as a resolution a lit candle was provided as a source of light, which she said "we did not have to blow out". My friend decided to take the room with the candle (at least the shelf was on the wall and paint was not chipping). Once the host left, I shook off the frustration and showered as instructed before entering the tub. The wood slats on the flooring were loose by the shower so I had to be careful not to fall. Soft music was playing and I entered the tub. I grabbed the "tub pillow" which is truly not equipped to function as intended and leaned back, as I did , I was horrified- a section of the ceiling directly above the tub was missing - the other section looked as if it was going to fall and the gapping hole area that was completely missing lead to area between the ceiling and the roof of the building! This was not something I was going to accept as a service to our area folks who come for enjoyment. So I abruptly sat up and began taking pictures. So folks here you go, hole in ceiling, wood slates by shower in room loose causing a potential fall issue, peeling paint, towels given were in the least "hole free", but appeared to be extremely old, the button to stop music from playing did not work ( hostess said "They get stuck all the time ")- I tried multiple times. The hostess was folding clothes on the guests area table which were piled up in chairs and on the table. The entire experience was awful. When I exited the room, I said to the hostess "Many repairs need to be made ", her response , "Yes to the entire place " . In my opinion, the business should be shut down. My friend who went with me wasn't aware of the hole in the ceiling and once explained to her , she stated "the only way I could get light on in the room once I blew my candle out was to wave my arm in the air for the motion light to come on". Really Magnolia Float Spa owners ? $69 for 1 hour of this? Shameful! Only reason for 1 star, the host was extremely nice and she was very knowledgeable. read more

I called Magnolia Spa three times this week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday) and left messages twice. I just drove to the establishment and, while it's 2:13 PM CENTRAL time on Tuesday, September 5, 2025, the doors are locked and there is no info stating if it's closed for good or just temporarily. If a company doesn't return calls it does make me wonder how much attention is given to client satisfaction. For instance, are the pods/pools actually cleaned after each use? Disappointed. read more

My husband and I booked appointments at Magnolia Float Spa while on vacation, celebrating my 50th birthday. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a complete letdown instead of the relaxation we expected. On the morning of our scheduled session, we got a text from the manager, Jamie, saying they were sick and had to cancel. While I understand that things happen, we asked if we could reschedule for the next day or the day after--our only remaining days in town. Jamie said they would check and let us know that evening. We never heard back that evening or the next day. I messaged Jamie the following morning and was told they were back at work but no one could float for 12 hours. We were given the option to come the next morning (which wasn't possible due to early travel plans) or request a refund. We chose the refund, and Jamie said it would be processed right away. That was Tuesday, July 22. By Friday, the refund hadn't appeared. I followed up and was told it takes 5-7 business days. Fair enough. But when August 1st came and still nothing had been refunded--and I received no reply to my message--that changed things. It's now another full week later, and still no refund, no follow-up, and no communication. It feels like we were taken advantage of because we were tourists. I would not recommend this business to anyone--especially if you're from out of town. Instead, treat yourself to a truly professional experience at the Grand Hotel spa in Fairhope--it's just a short drive away, and the service there was everything Magnolia Float Spa wasn't: reliable, responsive, and genuinely relaxing. read more

Wonderful relaxation. Float pods for complete sensory deprivation and float pool for those who are claustrophobic. Epsom salt is being used here which i could tell because my sore muscles were completely pain free after the float. Nice relaxation area for after float complimentary tea. What a treat and a MUST if you have any aches and pains. The staff was super friendly and informative. Nothing scary if you're a first timer. My skin is so soft and lower back feels wonderful. I can't wait till I visit again and go a little deeper into the sensory deprivation aspect. I did the pool as I tend to get hot. Hubs did the pod and loved it. I wanted to purchased a massage and float spa for my wife and daughter. Unfortunately, they contract out the massages and it was getting difficult to get them scheduled so we went with just the float from Magnolia and they both really enjoyed it. They said it was so relaxing and the employee was very nice and accommodating. On a side note they tried Massage Envy and did not have nearly as good of experience. I'm grateful they were able to end the day with a good experience at Magnolia Spa and will definitely return. read more

My husband and I booked a session. The associate met with us and walked through all the steps prior to floating. She was very welcoming and made you feel at ease. She walked you into the room explaining everything in detail and answering questions. The room was very clean and made for a fantastic experience. I was concerned with my allergies and asthma there would be a strong smell of perfume or chemicals and there was not. We will defiantly be making this a routine! read more

I wanted to try this for a while after the float spa near y home closed down due to COVID. It was amazing. Took about 10 minutes to relax as it was weird floating but once I was able to it was the most relaxing thing I have done! Went for my first float yesterday. Must say I was a little worried about Pod but they offered the pool too. I went ahead with the Pod and so happy I did. You can leave open to help relax. They provide everything ear plugs (so you don't get water in your ears), relaxing music, low lights, private shower area and an experience that is hard to explain. LOVED it and I will be going back. Of the many heath benefits, sleep was mentioned. I can't say it was the result of a float but I slept soundly for almost 10 hours according to my Fitbit and more rem sleep than I have ever gotten. After float tried the complimentary Lavendar tea with honey, very good. HIGHLY recommend to all friends and family. read more

After our floats we enjoyed hot tea. What a great way to spend an afternoon. Took a friend to Magnolia Float Spa today. I couldn't possibly put into words what this experience is like. Amazing doesn't really sum it up. It is peaceful, relaxing, invigorating, enlightening all rolled up into one amazing hour. Received this wonderful gift as a Christmas present from my daughter. Went there on 1/24/2019 for my first ever "float tank" experience. Wow! Owners Taylor and Carrie welcomed me and took the time to explain how to proceed. I was offered a snack before walking back to the pod where I couldn't imagine what I was about to experience. Unless you have done a "float" you just can't describe or compare it to any other spa. What a difference an hour can make in your life! Afterwards, was given a choice between a cup of soothing tea or coffee, while Carrie chatted with me about what I had just experienced. Went home relaxed, calm and happy. Open since August 2018, what a wonderful addition to Baldwin County community and beyond.
