Well the guy I spoke with is another one that appears to be of that entitlement business to where he did not want to do anything here unless he got to go through our properties three times treating them this year....in other words...HIS WAY ONLY. .....And I said listen I am paying you and it's my decision whether I want you to come in once or twice or more and I only need you once. Get it? I had already spread spring fertilizer and weed killer down myself and the crabgrass was sprayed a year before by another guy and it killed it all plus some millet. Everybody that goes by our road knows we have beautiful lawns and they've said that for decades. So this guy is just like some others out there today to where he thinks he's going to get a lot of money out of you each year or he won't do the work and I got news for him he lost a customer and I'm going to tell everybody just how he treated me over the phone which was poor poor business practice. You don't tell somebody you're going to do what you want to do to their lawn.... he had not even seen our lawns----- you do what they the customers are willing to pay you and in this case I only needed one time for this summer. Not three and pay out big bucks on a large farm!

After three days they begin sending you past-due notices, although they themselves take a week after the service to send the bill. Even worse is that they aren't capable of receiving modern payments like direct-deposit and they are slow at processing checks they receive. So I sent a check the day I received the invoice, told them that it was on the way (twice), and today, 9 days after the invoice was delivered to me, I got a notice that they are sending me to collections. We've been customers for 15+ years and I've been OK but not thrilled with the service, but they are cancelled now.

I requested an estimate based on the positive reviews shown here. At that time I told them that my…read morelawn would be a challenge. They said that they would be up to the task. A crew came and covered my lawn with compost and seed in October of 2017. When spring of 2018 arrived, I had a lawn of dandelions and not much else. I was told in a voice message that they would keep at it until I was satisfied. I had not answered the phone so I had a recording of their reply. I was told various reasons by various people why their first attempt did not take. Since I understood that they would be working on my lawn, I hired them to mow and trim so that they would not have to coordinate their work with another mowing service. They received two stars based on the quality of their lawn maintenance service. For the most part, it was done well but there was always places that were not trimmed and aspects of the service that were requested but were inconsistently performed. Come October of 2018, their second attempt at my lawn took place. It was done quite differently than the first application but I was told that this would be successful. Spring of 2019 arrived and some grass finally showed itself but there were many bare spots. Once again I contacted them and was told that they would be working on it. With the exception of an aeration, nothing else seemed to be done. Once again I hired them to mow and trim. At no time did I see any type of work to improve the condition of the lawn. On October 1st, I contacted them and said that apparently they feel they have done all they could so their work at providing a lawn was over. I was told that they were just about to come and do something. At that time I also told them that I no longer needed their mowing and trimming services. Again, that was October 1st. Instead, unbeknownst to me, they were continuing their weekly mowing service. I contacted them and reminded them that I had terminated that service on 10/1. I was then presented with an invoice for four weeks of mowing service that was done after I had specifically cancelled. Between the lawn treatments and the mowing services, I have spent thousands of dollars and have very little to show for it. Draw your own conclusions. They waived the gas detector around for 5 minutes and nothing. So while I had them, I asked for a quote for a tankless water heater to kill two birds and never got that. The BILL was $331!!!!!! I could have bought several gas detectors for that price. Not only that, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called them several times (once on 12/24/25 and then again on 2/12/26) to verify they coded the bill right and they refused to return my call and just started jacking on service charges to the bills. I will never use this company again. Beware.

TCI is now my "go to" for all things irrigation!…read more I had some egress windows installed and in the process, that company damaged the main valve for my sprinkler system. The crappy thing is, I had to find this out on my own. The guys shut off the valve. Then never turned it back on. So when I went to turn it on, it flooded the valve box. Called that company and they advised it could've cracked due to another cause (but that's another review for later) getting no help from the egress contractor, I called TCI, they were busy, but said they could get out in two days, they were courteous, accommodating, did quality work, for a reasonable price. They were on time, diagnosed the issue straight away and completed the job quickly (2 hours) I got the bill about a month later. Very reasonable!! Would highly recommend!
