I cannot recommend Maher & Maher enough. Working with Mr. Maher and his team, we were able to achieve results that other attorneys had told me were not even possible. Mr. Maher is an expert in his field - he exudes confidence in a way that is very comforting when you might not be finding yourself in the situation of your dreams. I called no less than 20 attorneys before making the choice to move forward with Mr. Maher. Mr. Maher was one of only two attorneys who actually got right on the phone with me... everywhere else, I was mostly being screened by intake (talking with office staff). Which I understand that, but being in a high-stress situation, I wanted someone with the knowledge and credentials to answer my questions with confidence. I will also note that all of the information he gave me off the cuff during that initial conversation in terms of how things may play out... he turned out to be completely correct about everything he said. I mean, on the nose, which is truly astonishing. Just goes to show how well he knows his stuff, going off of just the information I had available during that initial discussion and being able to forecast with a high amount of accuracy the reality of my situation. You can trust what he tells you. My experience wtih Maher & Maher was absolute, best case scenario, down to the tiniest details.
I will also comment that the rest of the team are wonderful as well, we communicated frequently through an online portal that gave me easy and constant access to the team. Gillian was someone who answered a lot of my questions and was there with me at court on occasion, she was very wonderful and lovely to be around. I would say that, in general, the entire Maher & Maher staff are just that way... they genuinely care for the success and well-being of their clients, they want you to win! I know that sounds like a given, but truly, it's not. It's not just a numbers game for these folks, they're invested in you on such a human level.
All and all, I don't have anything negative to say... or trust me, I would say it. I would say as an unrelated note - personally, in my opinion, I would strongly suggest doing anything "extra"/optional that you're able to do. I did everything that Mr. Maher suggested, and the result, like I said, was just... absolutely, best-case scenario, incredible!

I felt the need to add a few more comments to my review, if anyone is interested (hence at the bottom).
- I wanted to comment that the skill of your legal team in my experience has been the single most important factor in success, beyond even the actual circumstances of what happened (just my opinion).
- There are so many less-than-adequate attorneys. As unfortunate as it is that I can speak to this, I can. There is a huge difference between an attorney who is working for a paycheck, and an attorney who feels invested in you as an overall human being. Mr. Maher cares... Gillian cares... the whole team cares. - It's such a small detail but when everything was said and done, I could literally feel their joy, enthusiasm, and happiness for me. It meant everything.
- Will also note that when I hired this firm on, I wasn't in my absolute, worlds-best place at that time. Mr. Maher pays attention to you. He noticed my progress throughout the 7 months we worked together and always made sure to comment, saying the most positive and encouraging things.
- Further on the above, they see you as a person. I was treated with dignity and respect. I've found that under circumstances such as mine, it is easy to become de-humanized, stigmatized... just made to feel less than your peers. Mr. Maher and the team do not treat you like that at all. They are so professional and courteous, I felt completely seen by them which made every difference in the world. I felt seen as a decent human being who made a mistake. Reminds me of the idea of, "everyone makes mistakes, just not everyone gets caught"... and I felt very much that that is how I was treated, if that makes any sense at all. read more
