    Bottomless Mimosas 5/5

Another place I frequent when I'm in the Woodlands. Close to the cinema and waterway and Woodlands Mall, I've enjoyed meeting with friends and family for brunch (really good options and well made drinks and delicious food- for this review I'll keep it to my recent experience) Went on a Friday around 8PM and it was slightly buzzing, I chose seating at the back of the bar it seemed quieter and not as busy, but that soon changed after I sat down. I needed to wake up because friend who hadn't arrived yet and I were going to see The Monkey at the cinema up the street from Mahoney's. Order an Espresso Martini, nothing notably special, it was mixed well and finished it in what seemed like 2 sips. I was a bit hungry and ordered the Texas Egg Rolls made with chicken, black beans, corn, red bell pepper, pepper jack cheese and a side dipping sauce. They come with 6, 2 bites and done size. These reminded me of the egg rolls from Chili's. They arrived warm and if flavor was fine. I'd get them again. My friend arrives but by this time the area we were in got CROWDED. It seemed there was only one bartender handling both the patrons at the bar and groups at the tables. It took about 15 minutes after my friend arrived to place a beer order. I was trying to order it for him before he arrived but didn't have any success as the bartender stayed mostly on one side of where I was sitting and didn't look up during his time filling orders. Eventually, we are able to order a second round and closed out. Aside from the service being a bit off, and likely due to unexpected being busy, my past experiences have been enjoyable, that's why I chose to come here pre-movie going. Highly recommend their brunch. I wish I lived in the area I'd do brunch here often, they have BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS Saturday & Sunday!

My friends I stopped into Mahoney's while doing a little bar hopping in one my favorite suburbs in the Greater Houston area. Parking can be found everywhere for a fee or for free depending on how lucky you are. We had quite a few in our group but was able to find a couple of tables in the back bar area. This place looks really nice and the staff was friendly. Friendly doesn't necessarily equate to great service or experience. Our young waiter was such a nice guy, but he wasn't very present. He also had a lack of knowledge when it came to the menu as well. A couple of my gal pals hadn't had an espresso martini before so we the Espress-O-Self cocktail stood out to us right away. I told him, if it isn't close to the real thing, I can order something else. He assured us it was amazing. What we got was basically a boozed up coffee shake. Not good. I had to drink the gal's drinks so it would not be wasted. I should have read the description instead of taking the young mans word for it. Partly my fault too. Lesson learned. We also decided to indulge in a few of suggested appetizers as well. We tried the Spicy Jalapeno Crisps , fries, and Philly Egg Rolls. The spicy crisps were good, but really oily. The Philly Egg Rolls had alot of potential, but they were super skinny egg rolls and not very filling unless you took that dish down alone. The fries were fries. No complaints there. Overall, for the items we had, we weren't too impressed with the food and drinks. The place looks cool and I feel they do turn out some solid food. I would come back and give them another try if in the area.

First time checking out this place. Anytime there's live music, SIGN ME UP! The band played 80's hits which is my fave!!! All smiles! Service was speedy, waitress was nice! We ordered grilled cheese, fries, Mac n cheese and BLAT. All were delish!... except the BLAT. That by far was the DRIEST sandwich ever lol. The bacon was old and it had very little Mayo. Luckily I wasn't too hungry so I didn't make a fuss about it. I ate the fries and enjoyed the band. I'll be back!

Despite coming to the waterway often this was our first time visiting Mahoney's. It was pretty busy for a Sunday but we were able to be seated right away. The drinks were just okay nothing special but not horrible either. I had the fiesta bowl and was a little disappointed. The portion size was okay but it lacked flavor and was dry. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls were delicious, crispy and flavorful. My hubby had the steak and mac and cheese and wedges. The steak was okay, however he didn't care for the mac n cheese but the wedges were great. The food overall could use a little more seasoning. Overall it was a good experience, the restaurant is both clean and spacious and nicely decorated. Would recommend you give it a try.

Pre-concert drinks: "The Godfather," iced tea with lemon and sweetener, and water.

I'm actually giving a four and a half stars review. The reason is within the review. It was the first time for me (last Saturday, July 13, 2024) to visit this establishment. I came there for a pre-concert meal; DJ Jazzy Jeff, Paula Abdul, and New Kids on the Block were performing at the Pavilion that night. Don't roll y'all's eyes. Lol. When I arrived, it didn't seem busy at all, so I seated myself at the bar. But, it did take a while for me to be noticed. First off, I had to ask a fellow patron for the menu which was beside him. After saying hello to one of the bartenders, he didn't bother to ask me if I wanted to drink anything. Granted he was setting up some drinkware, I didn't want to mess him up as he was organizing them. So, I let him be. It was not until another five minutes that his co-worker asked me what I wanted to order. Luckily, with preparation, I already knew what I wanted. First was the drinks. I ordered "The Godfather" (Tullamore D.E.W. Irish Whiskey | Disaronno Amaretto | Aromatic Bitters | Luxardo Cherry), which was really good! Nice and even drink with no overpowering flavors. Along with "The Godfather" came my usual accompaniments of iced tea, and water. Second was the food. Since I didn't know how big of a portion were the entrees, I played it safe by ordering two appetizers: Shepherds Pie Dumplings ("Homemade dumplings stuffed with marinated pork in traditional Irish seasonings. Served on top of mashed potatoes and finished with a green pea purée."), and Duck Wings (six wings "tossed in a Sweet Guinness sauce."). Usually, dumplings are steamed or lightly fried, but these dumplings were deep fried to a dark, golden brown. And with their accompaniments, they were really good! The wings with that sweet sauce were really good, too! I had to use a knife and fork because I didn't want to leave a mess all over myself. Would I visit them again? Maybe. I do have a concert next month. :-)

Update: me and my friend went for st Patrick's day and it was ok. There was a $5 cover and line (most of the time). The food was good but not amazing. The service was actually really good for how packed the bar was. I was disappointed with the experience though. It felt like we were the youngest people in the bar & the live music was really loud (even in the section with table where we were eating dinner). I could barely hear my friends at the other side of the table. My friend got a burger for st Patrick's day as well and he said it was good, but it did make him throw up...

And surprisingly enough, the sausage was my favorite. It was JUICY. When you bite into it, the juices literally burst out. Something had a little kick to it... it wasn't the sauce, but I actually liked it. The jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes were also great.
